Just made a purchase for 2 items advertised as buy 2 for $6.50. Cashier rang it up and says the total is $7.79. I said it's 2 for $6.50, correct? He said plus tax. Y'all that's 19.85% tax rate- wtf. Almost 20% tax up charge is ridiculous. Such a rip off. I also asked if I could use the bathroom he said they don't have one for public. He also wasn't friendly. Last time I'll be going there. This is a very interesting 711. It's a good place to grab a snack and/or drink when I don't have one in my lunch box. The service here is very nice. I am not sure why people are upset but when I am here the experience is good. A bit smaller than my local 711 but finding what I need at reasonable prices is an epic win. You even get some weird doohickeys you don't see in other 711s. I have a good feeling when the Japanese style comes in this will be the first one to get it. It is not so crowded here so what you see is an epic win right here. They take any kind of payment which is another good thing about them. I have earned most of my rewards here which is good. The cashier who I presume to also be the owner, got really upset when I used my rewards points for a free drink. I came here twice. Both times I went, it was on a hot day; therefore, I went straight to the slurpee machine for a large drink. My favorite flavor is the pina colada. They don't have this flavor at the 7 Eleven where I live so whenever I have cravings for a slurpee, I would come here. So far, it hasn't been much of a craving since I'm watching my sugar level. However, I just found out that this place has nachos. The kind of cheese where you pump out of a machine; not the shredded kind that most Mexican places just toss on top of their chips and throw it in the microwave. Bad service. I don't know wat to say about the person that try to help me. Bad attitude. Didn't want to help me with anything. I asked the person to put the nacho cheese in the machine so i can use it for my nachos but the person took for ever to put the cheese in the machine. They were also out of chilli. Not even 1 one star because i went there on Sunday morning around 10 am and cashier was in angry mood as soon as i walk in and i brought my stuff which cost me about $12.47 and he yell me and said pay $12.47. I said man be easy there is way to say whats the total instead of yelling. Anyways. i don't have option for 0 star. I am a regular at this 7-Eleven. There is a gentlemen that works the late night to early morning shifts at this location, about 6 days a week, who I absolutely ADORE, and he is the ONLY reason I gave a couple of stars. (I wish I knew his name so I could give him a better shout out, sorry :/ ) But the other employees who work there, are just horrible. My chip doesn't work on my Visa card, but the employee that I like, has charged my card before and it worked. I went a different time when he wasn't there and they didn't know how to do it. So when I ran into the employee who knows how, I asked him how he did it and he taught me the trick. I went there tonight and I unfortunately didn't bring cash with me and the employee who knows how to use my card wasn't there...of course, lol. I figured I'd tell him how to do it if he didn't know how so I can get my stuff and he can learn how to do it. Sounded like a win win to me. So I used my card, and of course, the transaction didn't go through. I told the employee that my chip doesn't work. He pretty much ignored me and told me to insert the card again and the machine beeped. He says "Do you hear that beep? It means, it's not working." Pretty rudely, and it caught me off guard. I said, "I know it's not working, but if you press cancel when the chip is in and then select credit/debit on the screen, it will go though". I said this nicely, because I am really not one for conflict. He replies, "I work here, I know how to do my job". Then, he does what I told him to do and my card goes through. I was livid at that point because I was being nice to him. But enough is enough sometimes. I told him "there's no reason for you to be rude, I only mentioned how to do it, because you didn't do it the first time". He literally rolled his eyes and didn't say anything. I know he could of had a bad day, or he may not like his job, but come on... be a decent human being. I'm so turned off by this store... even though it's within walking distance from my house and I love that one employee, I won't be returning. What a bummer.
