So we popped in and got excited by all the different ice cream options! Additionally, one of us had bought a couple pieces of expensive art at the Sawdust festival earlier in the day and still had the bag with us. But when we awoke in the morning we realized we didn't have the bag. We retraced all our steps from the night before and when we went back inside the Stop N Go, Ardy was at the counter and listened to our search. He pointed to a bag on the floor behind the counter, which happened to be our bag!!! We want to say a big thank you for that! He was very kind and willing to help out. And the night worker as well for keeping our bag safe. Shop here, these are good people!

Mark, the night manager, always goes above and beyond to make sure the store runs smoothly and customers are happy. He's friendly, attentive, and genuinely cares about the community. It's a very busy location, just one block from the beach, and while the parking lot can get a little tricky (tourists sometimes come in through the exit!), it's worth it. For its size, this small store is impressively stocked with a great selection of fresh foods. The store is always clean, the produce is beautiful, and every member of the staff is so helpful and kind. We're so grateful to have this gem in our neighborhood!

Except I couldn't open the stupid thing for a couple of minutes. Sure enough, a twenty got into the zipper. I was dripping sweat since I had just ascended the steep Thousand Steps Beach stairway and temperatures were rising on a muggy morning. The nice lady gave me a couple of papertowls to pat myself dry with, and did I ever need it. My legs were still burning from the ascent! What I needed wasn't booze, although I approved of the selection and reasonable prices, no, I needed sunblock. Sure enough, they carried it, plus I could have scored a Frisbee or another beach towel if necessary. I also saw a small but good cigar selection, which was funny because all morning I could smell cigar smoke and essence, even while on the beach. Anyhow, next time I need alcohol or a cigar or anything else I'll bypass the nearby 7-Eleven and come straight here!

Come on, this is Laguna Beach. I can understand if this was in downtown LA where they don't want homeless people inside, but it's not! Here's what liked... * Right off of the main strip Coast Hwy. Here's what I didn't like... * For all of the tourists and travelers into the area, it's a big thumbs down to sell fuel and snacks, but not have restrooms available. * $10 minimum charge for credit card use. Next time I'm in the area I'll try the Chevron less than a mile further south!
