I really don't like giving less than stellar reviews to any business but sometimes it's just inevitable. This station is at a very centrally located in Laguna Beach, they have tons of traffic, fuel prices are on par with local averages. However, and this has been going on for a long time, they don't provide receipts at the gas pumps. 9 out of 10 times, you get the message "clerk has the receipt". Before they replaced the gas pumps, the excuse given by the staff was "the pumps are old, they will be replaced soon and then receipts can be given". Not sure why some pumps couldn't provide a receipt but it was what it was. A few months later, all new pumps were installed. For a couple of weeks, they produced receipts but then went back to the old practice of not giving receipts. It's extremely inconvenient to have to put a mask on, go inside and ask for a receipt, especially during covid and also if you are in a hurry. I suspect it is done so more people go inside the store and also end up buying something. I keep telling the clerks about it and all they do is nod which strengthens my suspicions as to why the pumps don't provide a receipt. I used to fill up there 2x per week, for many months, but it's time to take my business elsewhere. read more

I'm done wasting my time at this place. They never have water in the buckets to wash your windshield and have had to walk in the store and wait in line to get my receipt. They just say sorry every time like it's not something that happens all the time. This place would be much better if they didn't try and focus on charging people parking for 25 dollars an hour and then charging them a 15 dollar late fee if they are late. read more

On 3/02 None of the pumps worked they were out of gas . Was charged 5 times going from pump to pump . My credit card was canceled because thought fraudulent used .. the charges were removed but now waiting for new card . None of other customers got gas either. read more

Right across the street from the beach!!! Lots of beach items available juat in case you forgot to bring a volleyball or water toys. And of course you can pick up quick snacks like chips and sodas. Just know that the stop light takes forever. Hey but there's the ocean so who can complain read more

Horrible service unprofessional! These guys need to get retrained, poor customer service, i was going to buy 3 slurpees so as i was pouring them the machine wasn't working good so i was only able to pour 2 , but one of their worker started yelling at me saying don't throw the cup away i told him I wasn't buying the 3rd one because it was just to watery. Mobil - Corner of PCH & Broadway - Gas Stations Near Me - Laguna Beach, California

This is the only 24hrs gas station in that area, its good for snacks and and non alcoholic drinks. Gas is expensive, attendants are mostly assholes. I was buying about $15 worth of snacks and drinks and they guy wouldn't let me use the restroom. its only good if you're stuck in the middle of the night and its an emergency. read more

Talk about Convenient Store! Location is just so RIGHT. Across the beach, they have it all. It's like a One Stop Shop for all the beachcombers. After paying for my full day parking (that they offer), my friend and I wanted to grab a snack to munch on. Their brown bag sandwiches were worth each and every penny we paid for. The Coffee Bean hot cup was another life savior. My friend had to grab some beach supplies for the second day of the short weekend and so we had plans to go shopping later. She didn't really have to since she found everything right here. Customer Service - Super Friendly. Smiley faces. The guy behind the counter in black hat (Rockstar) helped us with directions and was indeed humorous. (does make a difference, doesn't it?). Came to this station to buy some water. Bought my water bottles and Gatorade and went to start my car and be on my way. Car wouldn't start. We went in to ask the sales clerk, Gerardo, if we could buy some jumper cables. He denied there were any then after a while, said he could sell us some for $12. While we waited to be towed, we asked him if we could leave the car for half an hour to get food to eat as it had been a few hours since we had anything to eat. He began to completely ignore me until I asked to speak to his manager. Once on the phone, frank, the manager, said it wouldn't be a problem. I tried to communicate that to gerardo, who ignored us once again. So disappointed in my Mobil experience. I've been a customer for years and won't come back here again. read more

Probably the meanest, rudest customer service I've encountered to date. I had just finished filling my tank after being on the road all day before quickly going in to inquire about their restroom. I saw a big sign that said NO RESTROOM but wasn't clear if it was directed to beach goers or customers too so I asked the attendant who was wearing a mask and literally surrounded by plexiglass. He immediately barked at me about not having a mask on and ordered me to go get it and said he would not answer my question or even talk to me until I put a mask on which I simply forgot in the car. Meanwhile three other customers walked in without masks and were able to buy snacks without incident. When I called him out on the hypocrisy he called me entitled and told me to "go on and get out of here." He refused to give me his name or the name of the manager or owner and just kept telling me to get out or he'll call the police, which he did all because I forgot to put a mask on. And the kicker is that the cops actually came to the "no mask" call, I guess they have nothing better to do in Laguna Beach. read more

These guys never honor their Yelp check-in offer. Frustrating. Fill up your car with their higher than average gas prices, then fill up your coffee cup thinking you at least get a coffee out of the experience. The checker wouldn't let me take the cup even after showing him the offer. read more

Excellent customer service here! My husband and I were touristing around and would often walk in to buy the randomest things... they had almost everything here! (Except sunscreen) Huge selection of chips and candies, and other random essentials. The staff were very friendly too and gave us free bags to carry our items in. read more

Paid with debit card at the pump. Was overcharged at least twice what was indicated on my receipt. Reported problem to the staff the following day. If it was possible to give this business 0 stars, that would be my rating. Unfortunately Yelp does not allow that option. I was taking a leisurely drive down to Laguna Beach tonight, and stopped in at this Mobil Station for gas. I filled up - $55.00 and some change. I walked into the mini mart, and asked if I could use the restroom. I was told they did not have a restroom, that I should go next door to Starbucks. I pulled my car away from the pump, and parked off to the side in the gas station parking lot. I had my dog with me, so I locked up the car, and ran up to Starbucks to use their restroom. There was a long line for the restroom, so was probably there about 5-10 minutes. All of a sudden one of the Starbucks employee's says "does anyone have a black Jaguar with a dog in it, because the gas station is getting ready to tow it". I leave (never did make it to the restroom) and go running out to my car. I'm met in the parking lot by a belligerent fellow who I assume is a Mobil employee, who says "you can't park there, we're going to tow your car". I say to him "I just spent $55.00 on gas at your station, wanted to use the restroom, was told you didn't have one (what mini mart doesn't have a restroom?), and to go up to Starbucks and use their restroom". He says to me "I don't care, you can't park here unless you're using the mini mart". I say to him "don't you understand, I just spent $55.00 here on gas? And your clerk is the one who directed me to Starbucks." He says to me "you're not using the mini mart, so you can't park there" So, let me get this straight, I can go into the mini mart, spend 50 cents on a candy bar, and park in their parking lot, but the fact that I just spent $55.00 on gas is irrelevant?!? I actually pulled my gas receipt out of my purse, and showed it to the employee (just in case he didn't believe me)...You would think, at that point, that one of the employee's would offer me an apology ... but, actually, one of the employee's just became even more belligerent!!! I do hope that the manager / owner of this Mobil Station reads this review, to see what ignorant fools he has for employees... read more
