Next, there are so many interactive displays with chickens singing and flowers playing instruments...also someone dressed as a cow was schmoozing with toddlers. I got some great food there and the prices also seemed reasonable. Their bakery section stood out to me as well as their dairy. Will definitely check it out again if I'm on the east side of town.

She brought them to us and we sat outside on the nice, shaded patio that provides a stunning view of Federal Road, which is currently undergoing a lot of construction. The Blizzards were great and we really enjoyed the nice restaurant with friendly staff. We will definitely be back.

Robeks is a smoothie and acai bowl chain, and this Danbury location operates at the level I would…read moreexpect from the brand when it is running well. I looked over a menu that covers a solid range of smoothies, fresh juices, acai bowls, and toast options, with enough variety that regular visitors can work through different combinations without the menu feeling repetitive. The acai bowls are the strongest part of what the kitchen does here. I tried the berry acai with almond butter, a combination that comes up consistently, and the almond butter addition in particular elevated the base in a way that made it worth specifying when I ordered. The tropical mango bowl and the strawnana berry bowl both have their followers among regulars, and I can see why. The smoothies cover a broad range of flavor profiles, and the 800 lb Gorilla is one of the more popular options on the menu. Health shots are available as an add on for anyone looking to supplement their order. Consistency is the variable I managed my expectations around. I noticed smoothies in particular can taste noticeably different between visits depending on who is making them and how closely the recipe is being followed, which is a limitation that affects the experience more than it should for a brand at this price point. Staff were generally friendly and willing to accommodate dietary needs and modifications, though accuracy on customizations has been hit or miss enough that it is worth confirming my order before I leave the counter, particularly if I have an allergy or intolerance. Portion sizes are a little small compared to the price, so going in with a sense of what I am paying for per ounce is useful context. For a quick and relatively healthy meal or snack in Danbury when I want something fresher than standard fast food options, Robeks fills that gap adequately.

Walking into the restaurant, you get hit right away with all these delicious homemade pastries. You almost just want to skip right to dessert. Even though it was very busy, we were seated pretty quick. The vibe and decor was very cool. Even had a Led Zeppelin poster on the wall. The best dishes we tried were the Red Hot Mama burrito. The short ribs were easily the star, but loved the pairing with sweet potato and Gouda. Even has its own sauce. Also try the cheese waffle (their take on Brazilian cheese bread). So unique. The French toast wasn't the favorite. The crust of the brioche was a little over done, but the inside was good, especially with the strawberries. The waffles were very good. Light and fluffy. I do have to say that I wished they offered a soda option. It isn't a deal breaker, but it is something I like. Definitely recommend giving them a try!
