It may sound costly, but you will never want any other carne asada in the entire WORLD. After cooking this meat on the grill many, many times, I've realized that I have never found any other carne asada that comes close to this meat in quality, tenderness, or flavor anywhere. It is amazing and well worth the price you pay for it. Try $3/lb carne and $6/lb carne and you'll definitely taste the difference. That is, unless you've been drinking all afternoon before you ate... in which case, everything magically tastes great and you'd probably be too inebriated to make any sort of judgment at all. Kennedy's Market and their alleged "best carne asada in Imperial Valley" will never compare to El Sol's carne asada. Ever. It's one of very few things I miss about the Valley.

He took the time to make sure we downloaded the app so we could take advantage of the fuel promotion running from May 1 through August 1, helping us save between approximately $0.20 to $0.50 per gallon depending on the amount of fuel purchased. What really stood out was his attitude and willingness to help. He made sure we had everything we needed before continuing our trip and treated us with genuine professionalism and kindness throughout the entire interaction. Customer service like that is hard to find these days, and Victor absolutely deserves recognition for the outstanding job he's doing. **July 2026: Friday Afternoon Visits**…read more My friend and I stopped here on both the drive to and from Phoenix during our road trip, and it turned out to be a really convenient place to take a break. We needed a place to charge his Tesla, and Quartzsite had plenty of EV chargers. Terrible's was just a short walk from the chargers and made for an easy rest stop. The restrooms were clean and plentiful, which we really appreciated after being on the road. Since it's Quartzsite, there were also lots of rocks and gems for sale along with snacks and drinks, which gave it a fun local feel. The AC was blowing hard inside, which was especially nice considering how hot it was outside. Overall, this was a really good stop and a convenient place to recharge, both for us and the car.
