It's been several weeks now since the grand opening and I've visited a few times now. This 7-11 is a lot bigger than other 7-11's in town. If you haven't checked this one out then you need to check this one out. This one is super clean, staff is really friendly and everyone is wearing masks and gloves to protect the customers. Each time we visited, we were greeted with friendly faces. 7-11 has one of the best hotdogs! Any time we stop at a 7-11 no matter where we go, I always have to grab one. If you've never tried it, then you're missing out. They now have different types of hotdogs now and on my recent visit I got the spicy polish dog and that was yummy. Getting a drink here is a challenge sometimes because they have tons of options. I was even in shock that they have a fancy coffee machine that makes both iced and hot coffee. A lot of people don't know that 7-11 has really great quality brewed coffee. I watched the owner put the coffee beans in and the machine grinds the beans and brews the coffee!!! Wow and it's cheaper than Starbucks and Dutch bros. I didn't want to tell you my new found secret, but 7-11 officially is in competition with some of these Bakersfield bakeries. I tried the freshly baked cookies and I literally came back a week later to get another cookie. Did you know they make the cookies there!!! They freshly bake them! There's an oven behind the counter that I didn't even notice til I saw one of the workers refilling the cookies. No wonder it was so good! It's literally freshly baked daily! If you haven't checked this new 7-11 out, you should check them out. They have a lot of good family lunch/dinner specials and they have tons of good "already made" food. If you're in a rush and don't want to stand in line at some fast food restaurant on your lunch break, just remember there's a 7-11 in the area and you can grab a meal and the prices are great.

I used to absolutely dread coming to this Costco to get gas. It was always a nightmare between the…read morecustomers at the warehouse and the travelers stopping for fuel from the nearby highways. Easily a 20-30 minute ordeal during high times for commuter traffic. I think beginning of last year, they completely remodeled and reopened this Costco gas area. It was given multiple extra pumps, a much better flow for traffic, and the sensors for the pump areas so you know when to pull forward in line. Now when I stop here, I either pull up directly to a pump or maybe wait 5 minutes max. The worst time of day you will still only see a 5 to 10 minute wait. It has been absolutely worthwhile and I will now sometimes go out of my way to fill up here. Thank you for the upgrade, corporate!

The employees who work the fuel station are very helpful, this is when you forget your Costco card, prior to everything being digital, all my with if the machines aren't working. Overall great value and right next to the freeway. No services requests necessary. So fuel up here and I'll see you guys at the next spot.

From…read moreSmith's to Sequoia Sandwiches to Just Cinnamon, they're carrying some of the best local brands and products. I especially love this for any of the businesses you usually have to catch at a market. On my most recent visit I got my late night Sequoia fix. Something I wouldn't be able to do if I had to rely on Sequoia's regular business hours. I grabbed a Waldorf chicken salad sandwich and a classic rainbow sprinkle cookie. It all tasted super fresh and delicious, and the nice folks behind the counter mentioned they had gotten those in that day. Every Sully's seems to be really good about maintaining the freshness of their products. Parking is always easy and ample.

It's just to the left of the front door and cleaned my sandy boots well. I was at the park doing my stretches in the dark to avoid getting in the way of the disc golfers. My boots were a little messy. I opened the door for some younger folk looking like a family. Maybe the older brother or the dad tried the brush after me. I mentioned (paraphrasing) that I had to give it a go and got a reaction from the young guy. I waited- holding the door open for him as well. Upon entering, I was awe struck enough to not respond to the ever so present and cheerful Sully's greeting from the cashier. I think I mouthed a "wow." I'd never seen it so empty. I could see almost every snack, even read some of the Scratch Kitchen signage. The place smelled clean but with a "make you hungry" scent in the air. I filled up on ice and coffee still contemplating the sweets I'd be taking on the road. I was caught off guard by the same young man leaving with his family. My hearing is less than great but I believe he was saying goodbye. The gentleman then told me to be careful. He repeated the warning in Spanish. Cuida te. I was so impressed with the lack of accent that it left me there forgetting to peruse the sale priced Smith cookies or custom fudge. I replied my best polite "thank you" and finished with an awkward, "brother." I never say brother to a stranger unless he was a fellow Marine although I didn't ask. I'd never been warned twice in La Brea Tar Pit style. In perfect Spanish at that. It stayed with me for long enough to write about it today and throughout my trip out of town. Every time I thought about the warning, I'd slow down and both times I slowed to speed limit a CHP pulled over the lead fast mover in my group. That could've been me. The warning from out in left field may've saved me $1000 -$2500 bucks maybe more. I don't really care to know what a speeding ticket costs anymore with impound, insurance, loss of points or license. I'll finish with you just never know. I drive a bit slower today and will continue as I'm spotting red & blue lights pulling speeders over less than 24 hours since my Sully's visit. Maybe it was a warning for future disco biscuits to the dome while carelessly stretching at the park. Maybe it was a warning about the noticeably beautiful tattooed lady in the store. Micro-aggression? No. In reading the room, the cool dude was with his family and no threat was in his voice or candor. Just a warning. I hope I see this man again to thank him proper. I forgot the sweets just standing in the impulse purchase line. I'd let a man carrying ice and that notably statuesque cross fit lady with tattoos past me as well. Just staring at the white cheddar Cheez-It's but mind on the warning. I never grabbed a snack, sweet nor savory. So, you never know what you'll get at a cool store like Sully's when you open the door for people. Thank you to the young stranger wearing vans. That could've been me with a $2500 deficit. Thank you Coffee Rd. Sully's, even your customers a cool. I'm back in town safely and thought I might leave a strange but positive review. It's better to think positively.

The store wasn't busy so I made my way around and picked up what I could remember because I forgot my list. I had one prescription to pick up, which was also no problem. In the meat department the chickens were fresh out of the oven so I grabbed two and picked up some thick pork chops and fresh cod.. I was on a roll I tried calling my wife to see what was on my list but no answer so I did my best. The store looked great. It was packed full of spring merchandise. Lots of plants, palms, flowers, and ground cover. As I made my way up to the front of the store. I couldn't believe the long checkout lines and it was only 10:45 when did they all get here? The hot dog lines were almost out the front door. All the Costco workers were busy, friendly and helpful as usual Great experience today except when I got home I'd forgot to buy my coffee. Continously run in to issues with this Costco and that has been ongoing over the last few years. My…read morebiggest issue about this particular Costco is the front end/register employees and the entry/exit employees. I understand that their interactions are probably some of the more mentally taxing when it comes to customer service, but I have been to many Costco locations and this is the ONLY one I ever seem to leave feeling frustrated with the tone, rigidness, and words exchanged. I will say that the sales floor employees (food samples, deli, and occasionally floaters on the floor or fillers) tend to be pretty nice and on the opposite end of the spectrum, I usually have more pleasant interactions at rosedale Costco on the sales floor vs other locations I rarely remember a sales floor interaction. The gas area used to be very difficult, long lines. They remodeled it last year to accommodate more traffic and put in the sensors. It is consistently a quick and positive experience now. Because of my multiple encounters with negativity at the registers here, I do tend to purposefully go to the Panama Costco where I have never had a single negative interaction with an employee. I definitely recommend that location over this one.
