While once you get in with a doctor they are "nice" but nice isn't caring. They tend to rush when you're in the exam room like you spend more time in waiting room than with docto. Forms are not saved because you have to fill out same medical history form at every visit. Had to remind doctor of my son's allergies. Over all, it feels like a money grab. They charge you a copay to read the results of bloodwork. They charge a copay to fill out a physical form for school. I have been a mother for 37 years. I've never had to pay for these services that are supposed to be part of the examination. Doctor won't even get on a call without a copay. I wonder how they bill this with insurance. What's the medical code they put in to get paid for completing a form for school or for spending 5 minutes telling you result? Switching my children back to JFK where these things are not charged separately from the visit. read more

Bunch of CLOWNS working at the front desk. I needed a standard form filled out for my son's school, and after calling every day for WEEK to get it completed, they said it was completed. Except they gave me a form from a year ago, which was invalid. When I told them the form was wrong, they insisted it was correct until I pointed out the obvious (date from last year). Office reps had no clue where my form was placed (WTF), were incredibly rude, and blamed another rep who was at lunch. Completely disorganized office. The docs were 'okay' but a hit and miss. Some are good - others misdiagnosed my son several times. There are better pediatrician offices out there with competent staff. I highly recommend you check them out. read more

This place doesn't accept HSA cards and charge people's personal cards for expenses. The reason they tell customers for not accepting HSA cards sounds like a scam. When I called the billing department to sort it out, they go circles and doesn't resolve the problem. I talked to the billing representative (Vishal T.) and he was very rude and didn't solve my issue and had to eat my medical expense from my personal credit card instead of my HSA card. Unfortunately this will be the first and last time we will visit this office. As a new patient trying to get a flu shot for my 10 month old, we showed up 10 min early to our appt. We did our paperwork then waited in the patient room for almost an hour for the doctor to show up. When Dr Shukla showed up, she didn't even apologize for being late and blamed it on other sick patients for taking a long time. The consultation was no more than 10 min with a flu shot afterwards administered by the nurse. I later followed up with an email complaining about this situation and the lack of respect for patient's time. The response was "we'll look into it". This culture of indifference and lack of respect for other people's time should not be tolerated. If I were constantly late to meetings with my boss and didn't show any remorse, I'd be fired from my job. I should have listened to all the negative Google reviews of this office and not bothered wasting my time and money doing business with them. read more

I strongly advise parents to avoid this place for the safety of your children. After using this practice for one year I have decided to change pediatricians due to some serious issues. This place operates like a sweat shop booking more appointments than the staff has capacity for which results in long waiting times for scheduled appointments. The interactions with the nurses and doctors are at a lightning pace with minimal actual focus on the child. The staff has a high turnover and lacks competency, for example, my child was measured incorrectly multiple times, prescriptions were not communicated to pharmacies within appropriate times, and incorrect lab requests have been made resulting in multiple trips to a lab due to errors, and unfortunately having to inject my child multiple times because of it. Normally I don't write reviews, but for this doctor I decided to write one. My baby was 5 months old and weight a little above average. Dr Shukla told us to put my baby on weight loss because he was above the normal weight on her chart. WTF! What kind of doctor tells parent to put a baby on weight loss? He's a baby! So basically she was saying if my baby was hungry I shouldn't give him milk?! Are you crazy! My baby was above average when he was born (10lbs). He loves milk and he will loose it all the weight when he starts walking. Every baby is different you idiot! Every baby gains weight differently! You are going off a weight of an average baby that you have see all the time! Long story short and we switched doctors, which was the best decision we made! We are only here for Dr. Nguyen. As soon as he is gone so are we. I have 4 children and have been coming here for the last 7 years. Today was awful. Girls at the front desk are rude to patients on the phone and then talk horribly about them when they hang up the phone. My ins.covers well visits yet they made me pay $100 to keep in my account or I could leave a card on file. Who would leave their personal info on file!!! It was a wonderful place before the other Doctors bought the practice. I pray my kids only get sick on Mon,Wed or Friday when Dr. Nguyen is on Here is the latest. My insurance hasn't paid the visit that we just had a week ago and this is the e mail I got today. Please stay away from here. We will not be going back. My husband insisted on this place largely due to the convenient hours, they are more likely to have appointments available so we don't have to take off work and kids don't have to skip school. They have sent out a notice regarding additional 20$ charge after 5, but I was told that would be charged to the insurance. The wait used to be pretty ridiculous, but they have gotten more efficient, and barring some complicated case one patient ahead of you, it's usually no more than 20 minutes. We usually see dr rama, who is pretty overworked. She is a very careful and knowledgeable physician, due to some personal circumstances, we have dealt with many pediatric doctors, and I must tell you, warm, funny, kind, kid friendly( not that she isn't) those are nice qualities, but you want knowledgable and careful above all else. read more

My daughter is given a vaccination shot unprofessionally, developed swelling and acute pain over week now.we were given NO instructions on care/symptoms of this shot.On contacting the office, we are forced to sign paper work to cover their wrong medical procedure and dis-own the issue. Horrible service. The staff is not friendly at all, many times they tell me a time and date for the appointment and when I show up they said I got wrong. The left me on hold for 25 MINUTES!!!! I have a 2 year old and a 6 month old and today the 6 month old had an appointment at 9:00am. I got to the office at 8:55am, I got both my kids out of the WARM car and walked up to the door just to find it locked, it's 32 degrees out. I called and nobody picked up so I called again and when they picked up they said they open at 9:00am and couldn't let me in MIND YOU THAT WHEN THEY ANSWERED THE CALL IT WAS 9:01am so I told them that and somebody opened the door just to tell me that the front desk people are not here yet. I've been coming here for two years now and since day one they have being rude and are always messing up. It's time to change my kids doctor. We have visited Oak tree road doctor office with our 6 months old son for scheduled vaccine. Nurse was ready to give vaccine and noticed that his insurance was expired. The doctor office immediately refused to vaccinate him. We requested that we will pay in cash if necessary but they refused and were returned without vaccine. BTW, I have three Kids and I am visiting them from 2012. VERY IMP: They send us a bill of $788.00 for those vaccine which were refused by them to give to him. On his medical report, the vaccine are fraudulently updated. The medical bill is from Consensus medical group llc. We tried to call customer service and billing department couple of times but no response and no resolution till now. I am planning to report this to NJ medical board and other authorities. read more

She rudely spoke over me so she didnt have to hear me. Both of my kids have been lifelong patients of Dr Gaviola.(15 and 16) i have never experienced anything but kindness and understanding from dr gaviola. Dr Gaviola listened to my concerns. My kids have been a patient here for 5 years. In 2015, this practice has become a terrible place: -This place deciding to add fees without informing others as to these changes *unwilling to work with their patients. -Their billing department is horrendous, rude and threatening. -Their doctor have been wrong on more than a few occasions -They are late to see their patients every time. I suggest any patient/parents of patients of this practice bill the office for every minute they are late, as they will bill you for every re-schedule, missed appointment and who knows maybe parking soon at this point. I have tried to reach someone in their office to discuss, but without surprise, cannot reach anyone. Please look into the doctors you choose to have take care of you and your children. This office only cares about money and not the patients. My children got STUCK with this office when their wonderful doctor retired. Their former wonderful doctor answered night calls promptly and was on call or had SOMEONE help you when desperate. NOT THIS OFFICE! THIS office charges you $20 during the night to speak to a nurse at a hospital. You have to give your credit card info to a recording on the phone before any help is provided at all. THEN, the next day when you call for a follow up, they do not see my child in person because they do not allow anyone with high fevers to set foot in their office because of their fear of Covid 19. Why the heck are you in practice if you cannot take care of children safely? Other offices are managing perfectly well to take care of their patients. Is my child supposed to HOPE for a natural recovery without any help or medical care from you? My child has been so ill for a week, has lost 8 pounds from a huge stomach issue or virus and today we have to go to Urgent Care so that actual CARE can be given to my sick child. I have never wrote a review but I had to make sure other parents are aware of how horrible this office is. Before Covid, my daughter was running a fever but went down after Tylenol. She was teething so I was pretty sure it was related to that but I wanted the doctors advice. They told me a nurse would call, and she did. The following appointment the office told me there was a balance of $20 for that call and if I did not pay it, she could not be seen, which meant she could not get her shots. I explained to them that they need to explain that people beforehand, but I payed because I needed my daughter to get her shots. Today, I brought my daughter in for another round of shots, and they don't me I needed to pay a "no show fee" of a previous appointment we could not make, of $10 or they will not give my daughter her shots. It's not about the money. It's the outright greediness of this office. They refuse to give my daughter her shots for ten dollars! I then said I would switch my daughter to a new pediatrician and the lady told me she would not release my daughters paperwork unless I payed the fee! After I made it clear that I will not let them do that, the lady said they will wave it, and I can stay with them if I'd like. ABSOLUTELY NOT. Do not bring your children here. Bring them to an office that cares about their health instead of pocketing $10 here and $20 there. read more

Since dr. Nguyen left and sold the practice it has gone downhill fast in every aspect (care, billing, customer service, etc) they are careless and unprofessional. They put every call on hold wo saying hello. Even though they have 3 offices calls always go to the same office where a rude person answers and puts you on hold every time. You'll wait on hold sometimes 10 minutes just to ask to be transferred to another office where they prob wont even answer. You are a number to them and all that matters is their bottom line. They over book, make you wait and when you finally see someone it's brief. We went on Fri for my daughter who developed a fever Thursday. They tout same day appts but not so in my experience. My daughter had 2 negative covid tests before we got there despite this they insisted on doing another test. I said ok. The nurse impatiently jammed the swab up my 3 year olds nose which began to gush blood and bled the entire day. The nurse didn't even check that she was okay or apologize. She rushed out of the room after saying only "she moved her head". My daughter was screaming and Dr Reddy took forever to get into the room bc they over book. When she did she blamed the test wo even asking what happened. After I told her the nurse didn't communicate what she was doing and was too rough still no apology. My daughter was ultimately prescribed an antibiotic and albuterol. They said they sent it to the pharmacy before I left the office. After going to and calling the pharmacy an hour later they still had no record of it. I called the Dr office and after waiting on hold forever was finally told the Dr never approved the script but would in the next two hours. They should have just given me the written copy. My daughter spit out some of her 5 day supply of antibiotic so we don't have enough for today and tomorrow. I called the office early this morning and asked for the Dr to call me explaining my problem. She never called instead had a nurse call to tell me she can't replace what was spilled unless we came in for another sick appt. Never in my life have i heard such a thing. The new Dr i called today never heard this either or my friend who has been a pharmacist for over 20 years. My child is no longer sick and at school. I'm at work. She needs just the final two days of her antibiotic today. They refuse to even call me back and the Dr won't send the two doses she already prescribed unless we come in. Taking another day off work and school and paying for another appt. Tomorrow is the only option when she'll have already missed a dose also. If that's not bad enough Winnie who answers the phone is completely rude even before saying hello. She won't send my additional question to the Dr, says Dr Reddy refuses to call me and will only talk to me if I make another sick appt for my child. I asked Winnie for someone else to talk to she said there is nobody. I asked for dr shukla and her email she said she didn't have one. When i told her that I see shuklas email blasted on the tvs in the waiting room the hours I sit there she transfers me wo saying so to a line w an answering machine that just beeps. Talk about unprofessional. Winnie said to me talking to the Dr isn't going to change her mind. l told her that wasnt my intent and I had an additional question about what can happen if she doesn't have the dose today since I'll have to go to urgent care for it and she still said she wouldn't send my question. This is a 3 year old toddler were talking about and I reminded her that to. Winnie didn't care was to busy being rude to have a care about any child, a patient. I'm billed for things that never happened. They refused to see me upon arrival on multiple occasions unless i paid a bill for something that never happened. My kids were sick stuck sitting waiting for them to work out a billing error on a test we never had. If i didn't think to say show me the results they didn't have they were going to make me pay it. They have a new policy.Effective May 01, 2019, 7 DAYS PEDIATRICS will have AFTER HOURS POLICY in full effect, which means that any patient, who is provided services at 5 p.m. and onwards on any Weekdays, i.e. Monday-Friday, Saturdays and Sundays will be charged $20. I would never recommend 7 Days Pediatrics to anyone! We took our newborn to the 1802 Oak Tree Road Location for a 2 week "weight check" and upon checking in was informed that we would not be seeing a doctor but only have his weight checked by a nurse. We were completely unaware of this and informed the receptionist that we would like to see the doctor as we had some general questions about our newborn. The nurse responded by asking 'how many questions' as if the quantity would dictate if we actually saw a doctor. Nonetheless, we informed the nurse of our questions and she stated that the doctor would be in to see us after our son was weighed. After our son was weighed, Dr Jessica Pu came hurriedly into the room and asked for our questions. She was not the doctor we saw on a previous visit and did not bother with any type of introduction. Before we even finished asking the first question Dr Pu was backpeddling out of the room in order to move onto another patient, completely dismissing our question with answers such as 'it will go away' or 'come back another day and we will check' or 'that's nothing.' And finally, as we were asking a question, Dr Pu simply walked out of the room and stated to her nurse, 'they have too many questions,' and moved on to another patient. At this point, my girlfriend and I looked at each other completely appalled at this lack of professionalism and disrespect and requested to speak with Dr Pu. We had already made up our minds that this would be our last visit to 7 Days Pediatrics but wanted to let Dr Pu know how rude and unprofessional she had been. We were told that Dr Pu would be back in to speak with us after she was done with her next patient. 10-15 mins later, Dr Nimisha Shukla, who we were told was Dr Pu's boss, came in to speak with us. We informed Dr Shukla of Dr Pu's behavior and Dr Shukla attempted to blame the behavior on the logistics of the appt. Apparently, since we were only there for a 'weight check' Dr Pu was not expecting to answer any questions and was handling multiple patients. Keep in mind, we were told during our first visit (and expected such) that should we have any questions we should ask them at any time. We were understanding of the logistical error but informed Dr Shukla that that was not an excuse for Dr Pu to be unprofessional, dismissive and rude to our family. After a brief exchange with Dr Shukla, who appeared to be excusing the behavior of Dr Pu instead of condemning it in some way, my girlfriend and I concluded the visit. Dr Shukla offered a half hearted apology on behalf of Dr Pu, who never re-appeared. I am writing this review for the same reason I explained to Dr Shukla, no other family should have to go through what we went through with their newborn. Complete lack of professionalism and accountability and needless to say we will find another pediatrician. read more

I starting bringing my son to this office 3-4 years ago based on great reviews I had read, and we've seen 3 different doctors here (Shukla, Bhagwat, and Nimma), all of whom have been wonderful. The nurses and desk staff are all very nice and friendly and the office itself is clean and bright. In the office we are never rushed, the doctors are very thorough and go over all our concerns. I cannot recommend this doctor to any new mom. I had an appointment with Dr. Nguyen when my newborn was 3 days old. He is not supportive of breastfeeding mothers. My baby lost some weight after delivery, as most babies do, and mine lost a little more than usual because her birth weight was inflated by the IV fluids I was on for a 3-day induced delivery. After weighing my baby, Dr. Nguyen told me I needed to give my baby formula. My milk came in the night before, so I asked if I could pump and bottle feed her to get her weight up. He said that I was STARVING MY CHILD and that I needed to give her formula if I wanted her to live. Dr. Nguyen speaks terrible English, so it was very hard to communicate with him. He sent me home with six bottles of formula, and ridiculous advice like that I should avoid shrimp and peanut butter if nursing. I learned from a new pediatrician that her birth weight was nothing to be concerned about because of IV fluids, but if that Dr. Nguyen was actually concerned that my baby was failing to thrive, he should have sent us to the hospital, not home with formula. Also, he should be following the AAP recommendations that infants be breastfed exclusively through 6 months, not encouraging mothers to use formula even when they are crying in his office begging not to. With the help of lactation consultants we pumped and bottle fed my baby, and she gained excellent weight from then on. I never gave her a drop of formula. But, thanks to this horrible doctor, I have had a complex the entire time I've been breastfeeding that my baby is not getting enough. So, Dr. Nguyen, do not tell mothers that they are starving their children if they are breastfeeding. It is hard enough as it is, and your poor word choice had lasting effects on my relationship with my child. read more

I would recommend never going to this office. 1. Cleanliness - There is no sink or hand sanitizer in the room, therefore the staff does not clean their hands before touching your child, they often don't even wear gloves when giving shots or assessing the child. I have never seen any items cleaned and have been put in dirty rooms that were not cleaned between patients. 2. COVID - Masks are typically pulled down below their noses or chins while they are working, in the rooms several times their masks have been below their noses, Dr. Shukula (the owner) will pull off her mask to speak to you. If you ask to wait in your car they tell you to come into the office and then you still wait in the waiting room or a room for 45-60 minutes. I have waited 45 minutes as the very first appointment of the day. 3. Staff - In the 10 months I have gone to see them I have barely seen the same doctor twice, there seems to be a rotating door of physicians. The physicians are typically not up on the latest research and frequently contradict each other. One NP told me the ONLY benefit of breastfeeding was that the mother felt a connection to her child. 4. Illegal billing - The office regularly over bills for visits. I found hidden in the portal copays from 4 different visits that they charged me for but shouldn't have. I had to spend a lot of time on the phone with the billing department to get those copays refunded. They also did not file several claims on time and then refused to file them when I realized their error. For the sake of yourself and your children's health stay far away from this unethical and unsanitary business. read more

Wasted more than 50$ on taxi. Have few earlier experiences where they shown greed for money. Service are bad, though you take appointment have to wait around more than an hour every time. I choose 7 day pediatric office based on some review but totally disappointed today's visit, my son had ear pain I went week before and he didn't have fever or anything, so I asked dr for flu shot, they said they can't give it that day and next time come for follow up and they will give flu shot, I missed follow up cus I had to go for some other emergency on same day, I reschedule appointment I got charge $10 for that and copay , they did not give flu shot this time again, so they told me I have to go again and they will give, common I don't want to keep going for just flu shot and my son is not even sick.
