Its conveniently located at the corner so there is easy access and visibility from the road. I was able to find my mug and purchase it without an issue. I do wanna point out the amazing staff working behind the counter. I just brought up a conversation about what their favorite thing to do in the city was and we had an amazing conversation. They were not busy when I went so it was easy to speak with them about things to do in the city. They really are a wonderful set up of people.

We also picked up a muffin each time we visited and the owner bakes a solid muffin. They were super moist and flavorful and had a great crumb. Whenever we visit a coffee shop for the first time we always start with a basic coffee (usually espresso) to truly taste the coffee and gauge the quality. Red Light Roastery passed the test! Next we ordered a cold brew (also a good test of the quality of the coffee and diversity of the shop) and this was one of the better cold brews I have gotten at a small coffee shop. Alot of coffee shops struggle with cold brew but Red Light did a great job. Other drinks and foods are available but their main focus is on the more basic coffee drinks (real coffee drinks - not Starbucks coffee drinks).

There's a hall with some seating you walk through before you get to the actual ordering area. Staff were nice and helpful, explaining the menu as they had idiosyncratic names for drinks. I went with a mango pandan drink with basil seeds. It was too sweet for my tastes but I'm not surprised as I forgot to ask for a sugar adjustment. It didn't have a strong flavor of mango or pandan and was just a general sweet flavor. It was refreshing still as we had just come out from the hot springs and a nice cold drink just hit the spot. Overall, I think it's an alright spot for boba. Not something I'd make the effort to go back to but wouldn't be opposed to stopping by if its there.

The bread was fresh the egg salad chunky and the soup was hot, just the right amount of spice, and chock full of chicken and veggies. I have never had a disappointing meal at Melinda's!
