The food here is quite basic and nothing I would recommend, but the atmosphere is cozy. I'd come back for a coffee and free wifi, but not for a meal. The staff are nice. The service was decent, but this seems more like a spot for tourists wanting to grab a quick croissant or simple sandwich on the go. Not really worth the expense if I could make much better at home. But do come for coffee, a smoothie or wifi.

Most Amsterdam breakfasts open at 9-10am, which is much to late for my taste. This place was a perfect place to go for an early breakfast. Their croissant was the most perfect one I've ever seen, and their smoked salmon sandwich was absolutely delectable. Greek yogurt is also a great choice here, as they give a pretty big serving with a variety of fruits. Oh I forgot, also the best cappuccino in Amsterdam. Something tells me that this place is a hot spot for people who wrk in finance or something, as everyone there at 8am was wearing a suit and tie.

inspired by all those burger pics that fellow helpers have posted recently, I decided to indulge a bit. I loved my burger with grilled steak and excellent salad. nice fresh bun as well. the fries were excellent as well, thinly sliced and made with a bit of cow fat, the Belgian/French way. I really like their terrace. service was very friendly, although maybe a bit slow if you're in a hurry, which I wasn't

We went on a weekend when they exclusively serve their famous apple pie, and while the lines can get pretty long, ours actually moved very quickly. The setup is a bit of a hustle: you order at the counter, pay, and then have to hunt for a table (they have seating indoors and outdoors) while balancing your food. Finding an open spot can definitely be a challenge, but we got incredibly lucky and snagged a seat at a communal table right as our plates were handed to us. Logistics aside, the pie is entirely worth it. It's honestly one of the best I've ever had. The crust is beautifully buttery and crumbly, and the warm apples have the absolute perfect texture--a brilliant balance of sweet and tart. It's not overly sweet on its own, but with a generous mountain of whipped cream and a hot coffee, it made for a wonderfully rich afternoon snack. I know a lot of people rave about their chocolate milk too, but the coffee pairing was exactly what we needed. Highly recommend braving the line for this!
