I'm surprised by all of the bad reviews. Yes it's a dealership and they need to make money too, it's literally their job. But we had Tyrone who was super nice and laid back and made our experience good. We traded in our lease and my husbands cars and got 2011 Jeep Liberty and a brand new 2017 Kia Niro hybrid at a killer price. Now someone also wanted the Jeep Liberty but since they came in after we did, we got it. I've wanted a hybrid for about 10 years and I finally got one at a great price because Oklahomans don't do hybrids, I'm a transplant from California. Did have a check engine light come on, but I have the 10 year warranty and I'm taking it to Kia in Edmond. After looking online they said it's most likely a glitch. It's still rated very high for Kia and a hybrid. It's about 10k less than most hybrids. read more

after firing their detail department (professionals who have actually been taught and trained on how to detail for years) and instead tried to get a lot porter who's never detailed in his life to start detailing cars expecting him to learn dozens of new chemicals, brushes, rags, etc that all need to be used on specified parts of the car or else you could risk ruining the car. when the lot porter wouldn't accept doing a whole new job on top of the one he already does, they fired him and hired someone who would do both jobs for the same pay! yay i love corporate greed!!!! read more

Asked to check for the reason for an Acura MIL code and came back with over $14,000 in immediate suggested services for 14 additional work tasks. And this shop doesn't have access to the other dealers' national Honda Acura database so they cannot and did not see all those suggested works were done only 5 months ago. This is a whole new level of "stealership." And just try to get a human on the phone with a clue, good luck! Any other service dealer would be a better choice than here. read more

Review of 6th Avenue Honda - Stillwater, OK On August 14, 2025, I purchased a 2019 Chevrolet Trax LT (58k miles) from 6th Avenue Honda. Within 24 hours the car began cutting out, jerking under acceleration, and nearly stalling. The check engine light came on immediately. At first, the dealership brushed it off as the car being low on fuel and told me to "drive it and let it flush through." When I pushed for diagnostics, they claimed the car needed a catalytic converter plus three separate mounts (engine, transmission, dogbone), quoting $3,500 in repairs. They then tried to present $1,600 as a "discounted deal" if I paid part of it. What made me suspicious was that the dealership cleared the code, making it seem like the issue was gone. Luckily, the light came back on before we took it to our independent shop. Kwik Kar's inspection proved the mounts were fine and the only real issue was the catalytic converter, which they replaced for just under $1,100. On top of this, the dealership attempted to pressure us into refinancing the vehicle through them and buying a $5,000 bumper-to-bumper warranty. Neither was necessary. We had already secured financing with our bank at 5.5% interest and $230/month, which was a far better option. Summary: Vehicle failed within 24 hours of purchase. Dealer minimized the problem, then inflated repair costs. Claimed $3,500 in work was needed, then offered $1,600 as a "deal." Independent shop fixed the actual problem (catalytic converter only) for ~$1,100. Dealer cleared codes to cover up the issue. Dealer also tried to push refinancing and a $5,000 warranty to add more cost. Conclusion: This dealership misrepresented the vehicle's condition, cleared warning codes to mask defects, and then attempted to profit further through inflated repairs, refinancing pressure, and overpriced warranties. I will not be using them again, and I strongly advise other buyers to get an independent inspection, secure their own financing, and be extremely cautious dealing with this business. -Cori Sweeden read more

If I could give negative stars I would. We negotiated a Cash deal with their manager Robert. Keep in mind its cash so we are not financing with them. They didn't move from their advertised online price and offered low on my trade. I came up to his number in the end, only for him to tell me after we had already come to an agreement that since I am not buying all their back-end product at inflated prices or financing with them the GM decided it didn't make enough money, so they backed out. Mind you I had come up to his price. I had already done loan with our personal bank. No one should take their business to this dealership. BYER BEWARE: Sold a used "lemon" On May 7, 2025, I made contact with 6th Avenue Honda and received a text from a sales rep by the name of Tomas Ramirez regarding a vehicle on their lot. He responded back to me at 4:59pm that the car was available. He noted "The Camry is still available, no warning signs of some sort for this vehicle. Few dents here and there but nothing major. Fair interior but not bad!" On the following morning, Thursday, May 8, 2025, we spoke, and he also reached out to my sister as the vehicle was for her. After discussions regarding the car, a 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid, I agreed to the sale and arrangements were made for the purchase. The purchasing process began, and the deal progressed. They received payment via a check issued by Navy Federal Credit Union the morning of May 14, 2025. I contacted Thomas via text on Wednesday, May 15, regarding the vehicle to confirm that a few things had been addressed. Tomas had previously told me there was a strong odor in the car and that a tire light was on. He also said the car had been sitting and the battery may need to be charged or possibly replaced if it didn't hold a charge. I asked that the tire light and any other warning indicator be addressed, and he agreed. On that same date he texted "Yes sir. It was a low-pressure tire. Let me know what day your sister is planning on coming in to pick it up." I was not particularly concerned with the odor. A car can be detailed. I was more focused on the mechanics and normal functioning of the car. With the tire pressure light, battery and odor addressed we were ready to move forward. Due to issues on her end my sister was not able to pick up the car until Wednesday, May 28, 2025. She spoke with me the evening she picked it up and the next morning relating the issues she found with the vehicle. I reached back out to Tomas on May 29, 2025, with serious concerns. My sister took it to a local shop in Mcalester, where she lives to check the tires as the light was still on. In addition, a host of lights in the dash came on with "Check hybrid system" showing on the main console. The horrible smell was not from something that spilled or anything else. The 12-volt battery in the vehicle was the wrong size and was overheating/ defective. The tire light was not simply from low pressure but rather a bad TPMS sensor, a substantial difference. The ceiling control panel for the sunroom literally fell into the vehicle when she attempted to use it. I messaged and received no response from Tomas Ramirez regarding my concerns. I reached out to 6th Avenue Honda on June 10, 2025, and spoke with Sales Manager (I believe he said Parts and Sales, but I could be mistaken) regarding my concerns and that I feel we were misled regarding the condition of the car. I went over what I had discussed with Thomas regarding the vehicle prior to the sale and what we are dealing. I noted there is a huge difference from a car needing a battery to be charged than from being defective. The battery in the vehicle wasn't just low on charge but defective and overheating. It went from something that can be easily rectified to a major safety issue. The tire wasn't simply low pressure but the need for a new sensor. Significantly more cost than simply adding air. The issues were substantially more than I was informed. I shared with Sales Manager that I found it difficult to believe that trained techs (I'm assuming their employees are trained/ certified) could miss such basic care items. I have confirmation in text messages from Tomas Rodriquez regarding discussions related to the vehicles condition. Yes, I realize it is a used vehicle and "buyer beware". I did as much due diligence as possible as I live in Southern California. I looked at reviews and dealership ratings. I chose 6th Avenue Honda due to their consistently high scores in sales and service. As of today, June 16, 2025, I have received no response. Ironically, the only review site I didn't check was YELP. The 2.3 rating they hold seems to high from my perspective. It is extremely disappointing to find out, at least in our case. how incorrect they turned out to be. Again, I urge others to use extreme caution when dealing with this dealership. Do NOT take anything at face value. When purchasing the car I filled out a we owe... the tire has a low pressure we asked them to fix it or replace it. They said to mark out replace, and put leave only repair.. but that they would for sure make sure it was safe and I wouldn't have further issues. They claim that all it needed was a plug... 2 weeks later, low tire pressure again.. spoke with Carlos "the manager" they said that's why they discounted the vehicle.. uhh don't think so my finance sheet says the same price as the internet when it was listed... He claims that it was cheaper for the dealership to patch it rather than replace it, well obviously... Told me I could drive an hour there and back to have it fixed... on a tire that's clearly loosing air ( REAL SAFE) So I can waste my time and gas on something that should have been correctly done THE FIRST TIME! By the way view the photo, their Idea of a patch.. a quick fix from probably the local gas station... Dishonest! Just got back from having a bait and switch experience from the local Honda dealership and thought I would share. Some background Back in June of '23, we took a Ford Transit XLT to the Hyundai dealership looking to sell it and possibly buy a new vehicle with the Father. We were quoted the buy value as 13,500. Long story short and fast forward to last Tuesday Jan 4th 2024, I took that same vehicle back to Honda and spoke with one of their sales reps. I advised we were interested in selling only as we inherited the car. Provided the VIN number. I provided the current mileage on the car. He spoke with their Used Sales Manager at Honda (Carlos) who commented to this sales person, the car was in the system and was reviewed and the offer they made then, would still be honored. 13.500. The manager never looked at the vehicle. Never spoke to me directly I advised I would get the title and wrote down the figure (trusting them to honor their deal) Yes... I know.. bad decision. Today, We took the car to them to do the paperwork. Carlos took a few mins to look it over. Disappeared in his office. Returned with a new vehicle assessment of 11,300. KBB report showed "fair" condition. This XLT was in very good condition. Estimate showed rust possible and will need new tires. it has NO rust and tires are 8 months old with under 1000 miles on them. (Michelins) Now between Tuesday and Today (2 days later) what happened? Where is this mis-communication? What we did receive was a layer of BS that he could not support his own weight in The sales person who was the mediator remembered both sides of the conversation. . What I expect is what I provide. Integrity and Honesty. If you can't own up to your offer, don't make it in the first place. I will notify the BBB as well, but IMHO this shows a lack of honesty. In October, 2021, I was in OK and had a problem with my 2016 Civic...all of the warning lights came one at the same time when you started the car. I took my Civic to 6th Ave to get it fixed. Since I was dropping it off "cold" (no reservation), I figured I would have to leave it a couple of days (not a problem). So, a couple of days and $580 later, it was ready. Fast forward to January, 2022...had the same issue (all of the warning lights come on every time you start the car). So, I took it to a dealership in North Carolina (where I live) and told them I had this same issue in October and it was looked at by a dealership in OK. Later that afternoon the NC dealership called and said my car was ready. When I picked my car up, they told me that the work 6th Ave said they did, they didn't do (one was to update a programming module). It was obvious 6th Ave didn't do it because it was still the old version (and no one had worked on the car until then). The other item 6th Ave "allegedly" did wasn't needed based on my model, according to the NC dealership. So, long story short...6th Ave charged me for work they "allegedly" didn't do or didn't need to do (per a Honda dealership in NC). On top of that, the NC dealership said the work should have been covered by the warranty...so I shouldn't have been charged at all (the NC dealership didn't charge me). read more

After moving to Stillwater I was keen on buying a vehicle locally. However, I was quickly disavowed from such an action after visiting 6th St Honda. Let me put this up front - the sales and admin staff seem quite kind and very knowledgeable. Where this place falls on its face is the actual sales process and the prices it offers. I was quoted a sales price that was 4-5k above the price I could find online at other nearby dealers. 6th Avenue Honda operates as if consumers do not have the ability to find other prices or to find the dealer's actual invoice price online. I suspect this place makes it profit by ripping off unsuspecting college students, first time buyers, and those unsavvy when it comes to technology. I asked if this was their best price. I was told it was and that they "don't negotiate" and "don't hold vehicles" if we were not ready to buy today. I decided to take my business elsewhere. Where I paid 4,200 LESS for an identical vehicle. I posted a negative review on another site and was contacted quickly that they would "meet or beat" any price statewide. I suspect that this was only in response to my negative review. This is because I had tried to buy a Ridgeline about a year ago when I was visiting family. They pulled the same song and dance. These guys are way overpriced! The service is ridiculously overpriced and the vehicles can regularly be bought (online w/published pricing) elsewhere for substantially less. I took my car in for a door latch, the drivers door would not lock from the inside when in park. $140 to diagnose, $420 for the latch, and $225 to install. The part is less than 1/2 that price online and as for the diagnosis: -I had just replaced the latch less than 1 month ago at another honda dealership. (previously the lock didn't unlock at all) I'm not sure how many Honda dealerships it takes to correctly diagnose a door latch, but I know it's more than two. :) The other dealer is out of state, but think about the 'diagnosis' going on to suggest replacing a brand new looking door latch with another brand new one. These guys are setup to earn commission on parts sales! There isn't any diagnosing going on. -I signed up for service in my app for a $85 diagnosis/service fee. But was charged $140hr for the diagnosis. -I didn't get the typical phone call with the diagnosis And pricing. I sent the car in for service with my daughter who's in school there to see how it went before buying her a car. I too was looking to purchase a car locally for her while she's there. I'm glad I tested service before buying a car. I will not be purchasing a car there and I will never return for their service. I WISH I had read these reviews prior to service. Pros: Brightly lit and clean. Vending machines and TV available. Nice enough to stay open 30-60 min more for out of towners. Cons: future brother in law drove out here to buy a used car. He spoke to the salesman on the phone to let him know we were coming multiple times. The family piled into the car and made the very boring trek out to Stillwater. First, they ran his credit without his consent. They said it was standard practice for people coming out of town, so we wouldn't be wasting our time. They only checked with 3 lenders, he has bad credit so only 2/3 agreed to a loan. The best of the 2 was asking for a $2000 bank fee? That's steep! Salesman we were dealing with only was told about the sale 5 min before we arrived. He didn't know anything about the car. The guy that my FBIL spoke to on the phone called in sick. Now for the car. It looked good, but they were asking for more than Kelly Blue Book and it was not in great/good condition. It had been sitting on the lot for 5+ months. Here's the crazy thing that upset the fiancé, the guy that FBIL had been dealing with on the phone told us to come to the dealership, price was negotiable, he'd work with us. Nope. The price was NOT negotiable, they were firm. At this point, my fiancé started yelling and his brothers were very upset. The fiancé feels that on this day, used car salesmen truly earned their reputation. This is the only case I would say Yelp needs a no stars button. Honda should consider ripping their name from this place as this place is harmful to their reputation. Unfortunately, my boyfriend got into a car accident in his brand new Honda and needed some repairs. Stillwater Honda does some repairs and they send off the car to a third party body shop for some as well (without his consent). He picks up his repaired car and the next day the car won't start. He takes the car back to Honda and they figure out their is further damage. The insurance denies to pay for the new claim considering it wasn't detected on the original inspection. Come to find out the repairs they claimed to have some in the original repair were never done (even though insurance paid over $7,000). This all happened over a span of FOUR MONTHS. They were very disrespectful and difficult to do with. His immigrant parents were frequently spoken down to when asked about the current status of the car. Never in my life would I wish this experience on anyone. You have been warned. read more

I would like to give a shout out to the team at 6th Avenue Honda. I have purchased three new vehicles since 2015. One in Tulsa, one in OKC and this one at 6th Avenue Honda. Without a doubt this was the smoothest of the three. 6th avenue Honda was the only one that didn't hassle my wife and myself in the finance department. We told them what we wanted and they respected our wishes. The other two Dealerships not so much. The sales manager was respectful. We told him what we wanted to pay per month and we left within $14 dollars of that amount. This was the most enjoyable experience of the three by far for both my wife and myself. read more

This 6th Avenue Honda Dealership in Stillwater, OK is sketchy and a big waste of my time. I spoke to a sales man and made an appointment with the dealership to go there and purchase a used silver 2018 Honda Odyssey Elite that they have available in the lot for a month now. I drove 2 hours out from town to this dealership with a cashiers check prepared to buy it. It showed great deal on the website but why hasn't it been sold yet? Anyways, I arrived there and there was 4 workers working on the van with the hood up. I parked close to the vehicle and the sales man who was a black male came to me before I could step out of my car and told me to go park at their building so I didn't even get to check the vehicle. When I park the sales man came to me and asked me to go inside the building which usually other places would take me straight to look at the vehicle I am there to purchase. Inside at his office he begin asking documentation questions and price. He also started giving me hidden fees that was not listed on the website. After negotiating on the price and him going back and forth to talk to his general sales manager, we came to a agreement on price. I then asked to check out the vehicle and test drive it and he demanded my signature of purchase before me seeing the vehicle or test driving it. After refusing to sign until I check and test drive the vehicle he went and got the general sales manager who was a light skin black male. They both got out and the gm declined the price that was already negotiated. He told me to pay the full listed price on the website. I then left the dealership because who would commit to buy something so expensive without testing it. Really this was a waste of my time and very sketchy on why they would not let me see the vehicle before purchase. Maybe something was wrong with it and if I did put my signature down I'd be buying a pos. No wonder it's been in the lot for a while. First of all, I can't believe I got an email from Stillwater Honda and Cars wanting me to write a review. Everything started out okay. We were lied to several times. Worst car buying experience ever. I'm still in shell shock on how we were treated. We were treated so rudely by one of the managers named Matt. We drove 4 hours to buy a used car. We were told the price had some wiggle room. Lie #1. After negotiating a lower price with the salesman (only $500 lower), we were ready to sign the papers. Our salesman went to get the final approval from Matt, his manager, and came back so upset. Matt apparently reamed our salesman for promising us that price. Matt denied the sales price we were promised. We were also told that we would get a free detail on the car and a tank of gas. As we were signing the papers, our salesman said Matt, the manager, said not to give us a tank of gas or detail the car. What??? Okay, whatever. The low tire light indicator was lit up on the car so I asked the salesman if they could check the air in the tires for us before we drove 4 hours home. Our salesman went to ask Matt, his manager and was told NO!! What?? Matt, the manager, was awful. Not only did he treat his salesman, Sawyer, like total crap, he was rude to us as well. We have bought several cars over the years and have never been treated like that. We even paid cash for this car. I will never travel to Stillwater Ok to deal with this dealership again. I came to the Honda dealership expecting not to leave with a car (I have bad credit because I'm a student with a bunch of student loan debt), but low and behold, after 5 hours, I was handed the keys to a used car and promised $230 car payments. I was beyond excited--this car was the nicest thing I've ever owned. After two days, I get multiple phone calls from car salesmen and financial advisers at Honda telling me "oops, you need to come back in with a cosigner or we're taking your car back." Naturally, I was devastated. I was told my financing loan from the bank came through, that my credit was good enough, and was NEVER told that there was even the possibility of my loan not going through. I was told "we've got a deal," shook hands with Curtis, my salesman, and was handed the keys to my car. And then they took it back. I strongly advise to not purchase a car from this dealership. They're not honest. Like I said, TWO DAYS after my purchase I was harassed for several hours at work, even when I answered and said "Hey, I'm at work, I can't talk, I'll need to call you back." I thought it may have been illegal for them to have done this to me, but I was told its within state laws to repossess a car if a bank loan doesn't go through. BUT the issue is that they told me I had a deal, and gave me the car keys and acted like everything was good. It's dishonest and its poor customer service and I feel like they were just trying to get commission off of me rather than explaining that it would take a few days to actually finish off the deal. It was a horrible, horrible experience, I'm now without a car and have wasted a huge amount of my time trying to fix this mess. I'm not one to normally give reviews but this needs to be said. I purchased my vehicle from Fowler Honda in Norman and I will continue to either drive to Norman for my service needs or take it to Janzen Toyota down the street. I have tried repeatedly to give this place a chance and it never works. A few months ago, my car alarm kept randomly going off (2016 civic sedan 17K miles) under warranty, of course starts on a Sunday. Immediately take my car to you all, first thing Monday morning. Before taking it in, I researched the issues, the triggers, etc and came to the conclusion that it was my hood latch sensor. Fast forward, take my car in, tell y'all what was going on, that my key fob batteries where changed the night before, etc. I go to work at 3pm, you all still have my car and hadn't called me, nothing. I call you. The response I get is this, well, we can't find anything wrong with your car. We checked the key fobs to make sure a button wasn't stuck, but you can come pick it up. I did. My alarm immediately goes off when I get back to work. And it goes off 3 more times until I leave at 11p. I drove to Fowler the next morning and guess what, it was the hood latch sensor, I was fixed up and ready to go within an hour. Today, I needed my nitrogen tires serviced. I go out to see y'all, I'm informed that you all don't service nitrogen tires and no one in Stillwater does. So, what I'm being told is this, I could go out to your car lot, choose a brand new 2019 Honda with a green nitrogen cap on the tires, be expected to bring my car back to you to have it serviced but you can't service the nitrogen tires that most likely cost more when purchasing said car? That's awesome. And yes, I'm also fully aware that you could just put "air" in them but that defeats the purpose. The guy at the front desk is also very smug and matter of fact. So if you're a female and know what you're talking about, forget it. Cause this place will think otherwise. As for me and my HONDA, we now go to Janzen Toyota for our service needs. Why? Because someone in this town does in fact service nitrogen tires. I gave you one star only because I had to.
