2011 Cadillac SRX

We just bought a 2011 Cadillac SRX and we couldn't be happier with the whole process. We had David as our salesman and he seriously went above and beyond for us. They made sure to do a full inspection for us and fix a couple things we noticed. Our car came with DVD players in the seats, but we weren't sure how to operate them so he got a DVD for our daughters so that he could demonstrate it for us. He is seriously the BEST salesman we have ever met. We are so happy with our purchase.

I was charged over $300 to swap tire pressure sensors from one set of wheels to another--a service that Discount Tire offers for just $100. When I questioned the cost, the service advisor told me the high price was because they are an "auto care shop" and not a tire shop, essentially admitting they are not suited for this kind of work. If that's the case, I'm even more disappointed that they didn't recommend I go elsewhere instead of charging me three times the going rate. When I brought this up, they doubled down and insisted their pricing was average--which it absolutely is not. If you're a woman, a college student, from out of town, or someone unfamiliar with fair pricing in auto services, I strongly caution you against bringing your car here. In my experience, they took advantage of my trust and overcharged me for a basic job. I will no longer be taking any of my vehicles here. They've lost a paying and previously loyal customer through their actions.

I purchased a new Hyundai vehicle a few days ago and felt good about my transaction and was particularly impressed by two of the younger guys (Ean and James) and their knowledge of the Santa Cruz, a new model, and their patience in explaining the various features to this old coot. I'm surprised by the number of negative reviews of this dealership on Yelp. Well, it's usually the unhappy people that give reviews and those of us who are happy rarely review. I chose to review in order to mention the two younger guys who were so very helpful in acquainting me with my new vehicle. Why didn't I give 5 stars? The Coke machine was out of all soda offerings. I was given a bottled water which was appreciated. I know an outside party is responsible for the Coke machine, but the inside party should demand better service from the outside party. I'll update later when I've had an experience with the Parts and Service Departments.

I pointed out the discrepancies in the deal that was offered and was met with defensive and unprofessional comments rather than a clear explanation. The advertised price of the vehicle was $25k but when I received the full write up the loan would have been for $42k. This was with a trade with $8k negative equity but with me putting $13k down. The loan should have been for $20k and his explanation was that they include dealer add-ons, which obviously every dealer does but $12k worth of add-ons? Perhaps not. When I questioned this, I received a text back "We have been very transparent, ma'am. I have disclosed EVERYTHING you asked for, just not the way you want it. Every dealer has fees and dealer add-ons, and NONE of them will tell you about them until you are there, or they will "sell" a car out from under you when they lie to you and get you to believe them. Math is math, and we can't go retail for yours but wholesale for ours. I will remove you from our text list". This should be a good enough reason to stay away from this dealer. That response was not the only response; it was just the response that prompted me to stop replying and decided to report to the BBB. You have a customer walking in with enough cash to cover their negative equity, knowing they will have negative equity on their trade and willing to cover it plus put money towards the new vehicle you can't get away with hiding fees. He didn't like being called out on his lies and he reacted in such an unprofessional way, it's no wonder he has worked for multiple dealerships. Terrible choice for a GM.
