He then tells me that it would be Monday before I can get them back. He then hands me a ticket for 3x the price I normally pay while mumbling something about the price being too cheap. Seems like this place is having issues (perhaps financial) and this person was there to overcharge loyal customers to make up for the gap. To be clear, here are my issues: 1. An attempt was made to overcharge me. 2. I was asked to pay upfront for the over charge, which indicates distrust And potential racism. 3. This individual did not care that I was a regular and that I was able to quote the prices that I normally pay. We really have to stop letting business come into neighborhoods and taking advantage of residents. I will never be back and caution everyone else to triple check your bill. They really do a great job with alterations in particular, although it's best to go in the AM when the seamstress is there. At that point, I should've just taken my shirts and left. I picked up my shirts and they were all measuring 24 to 25 inches long. I contacted AI who told me that the steaming constricts the fibers. And changes the whole field look and shape of the garment and shrinks it up. AI told me to soak everything in hair conditioner and then gently pull on the garments to get them back to where they were before the steam treatment so I went back to Kathy and told her that everything had shrunk and she was very defensive and wouldn't listen to me and told me she didn't iron it. She told me she was going to press them and I said well whatever you did she said steam? I said it shrunk everything not take responsibility and very rude to me. When the shirt was returned not only was the stain still there, there were new stains. The woman at the counter saw the stain and got the same man to talk to me about it. He acted like it was invisible lol. Again, he was really unreasonable and refused to fix the problem. His solution was to grab money out of the cash drawer, shove it at me, and tell me to leave. First, he/she made three linen panels for a standing screen for me-- that are perfect. Second, he/she repaired a favorite cloth summer handbag: I had worn out the straps to threadbare-ness and there were holes in four corners at the base-- and it looks lovelier than when it was new! Careful, caring, highly skilled work. The gentleman in charge of taking in dry cleaning (and tailoring) orders is unfailingly courteous and it a pleasure to deal with his quiet professionalism. And every item of clothing I have brought in- from delicate, gossamer thin silks, to cashmere scarves, a queen-sized, down comforter.. and more regular items- all have been returned to me in faultlessly cared for condition. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their services!

Woman working at the time was helpful, she answer any questions I had and was able to provide me change for laundry. Large wash machine is $6 per cycle, small is $3.50. I fit two weeks of clothing in the large machine and could still had room for a decent amount more. Wash took about 23 minutes, which is pretty quick. Dryers are based on quarters put in. Large machine is 0.25/4mins and regular are 0.25/6mins. A regular machine is pretty huge so I'd suggest using one of those. Although I went early Sunday morning, there are a ton of machines so I don't foresee and issue of having to wait. Downside is that there is no WiFi or a really any place to sit comfortably.
