My wife and I purchased a 2006 Mercury Mountaineer from the Springfield Missouri lot. We have previously purchased a 2004 Oldsmobile Alero from the same lot and had a great experience with the service and kindness of the previous people who worked there. This time around not so much. They didn't even bother to clean or detail the vehicle. We were in need of a good vehicle and came back to the place we were treated great before but we were treated like dirt this time around and very rushed. The manager had to take the vehicle to get gas so we could test drive it and informed me that it was making a noise due to the tires being worn out and they were going to put new ones on. When I was checking the front end to see if it was due damage to the front end, since the front bumper had some damage, I saw that the front sway bar bracket on the passenger side was bent with no rubber bushing in it and the top bolt was broken off in the frame. The driver side bracket was loose with both bolts backed out about halfway from what I could see with about a quarter of an inch space between the bracket and the frame at both bolts. It looked like someone had started to put it together and forgot to finish it. I informed the manager at the time, before we even signed the paperwork about the issue and she said that they would take care of it too. I also informed her that the wrench light came on during the test drive, which I found out later is an issue in the drivetrain, and she said they will take care of it as well. Come to find out the tone ring on the cv axle that the speed sensor reads is cracked and broken and loose on the hub of the cv shaft. When I took it to get the new tires the person who they called to get the purchase order from threw a fit about the new tires but they were already done so they went ahead with it. While they were on the phone with the car lot they informed the car lot that the front sway bar issue was dangerous and needed to be taken care of. The tire shop could not get it in so they sent me to a place right around the corner from CarHop and they said they would not do it that it needed to be done at a frame shop since the bolt was broken off in the frame. At this point my wife who works in the Emergency Room of the hospital contracted Covid and we had to deal with her getting the covid pneumonia and recovering from it. Then as she was getting well enough to go back to work I got covid and the covid pneumonia and almost died from it and had to spend a week in the Covid ICU. I took about a month and a half to recover where I was able to get out again and do things. Since I live 40 miles or so away I could not go back and forth to try to find a shop in Springfield and I took it to several in my local area and they were either denied or they would not do it because it was either too hard to do or they would not do business with CarHop. The only one in the area who was willing to help us and deal with it was B.A.T. Boys in Branson. After several months and attempts to get it repaired and covered by CarHop as was the agreement now we have been denied over and over again for repairing an unsafe vehicle we were sold and lied to about by the manager and salesperson. I am retired and disabled, but I am also a trained mechanic both in automotive and diesel applications, and I plan to do the work myself at this point. I plan on contacting the Better Business Bureau and the CarHop Facebook page and any other sites I can to post the pictures of the unsafe vehicle that we were sold and let everyone know that they would be better off going to ANY other car lot and do business with them. You will not get any more business from me or my family after this piece of crap is paid off.

    I bought a 2013 Ram 2500 Laramie almost a year ago there and the truck has been nothing but issues…read more 1st thing I noticed was notification on dash said turn signal was out and it was not. Salesman told me it was because it had LEDs. On further investigation i found most of the LED lights that suppoedly caused the issue were factory when i went to install the proper conversion harness. There are some that are not factory because they are missing the RAM logo that the other ones have. Then I investigated further and found other aftermarket body parts indicating that it had been involved in a collision. They had behind the paperwork that they produced said it had a clean history report. According to their salesman they also oown Taylor Chrysler Jeep Ram. If that is the case then they would know there is aftermarket body parts on it and there was something wrong with their report. Next thing the check engine light came on and I gave them every code that my truck said was wrong with it. All emissions system problems. They said no problem and I dropped it off. They said battery cable was loose and gave it back. Then after several driving cycles the light came back on for the same issues. Indicating all they did to fix it was reset the ECM. I called and a woman told me they were with other customers and no one called me back. I called several more times with similar results. I reported to BBB and they said they gave me a 90 day warranty and conveniently no one remembered me calling. I am hearing impaired so I didn't hear the brakes making noise until after I got new hearing aids. I asked my wife and neighbor if it has always done that and they said yes. I found a locked up caliper, missing brake pad, broken leaf spring, and all components of emergency brake missing on right rear. I brought this to their attention via BBB complaint and they said it passed state inspection. Which i know is untrue or their inspector needs fired because it had a gouge in side wall of right rear tire when I bought it, all tires were mismatched, emissions system issue, broken leaf in spring pack, message saying turn signal out, and missing brake parts. Missouri state patrol said missing parking brake components wouldn't cause it to fail but everything else i mentioned would and the statute of limitations is 5 years to report it but it was strongly encouraged that you report such cases as soon as you find out and don't fix anything. Some issues still exist that would cause it to fail. It will going through inspection this year even though inspection is supposed to be good for 2 years per Missouri State Patrol. Will update when it's inspected if I can. They hid everything wrong with paperwork and spray paint literally because they spay painted the rocker panels and I wore off showing rust a few months after I bought it. Not sure what else they covered up literally just yet. My advice don't buy from either one of their dealerships and if you did go get it inspected immediately by a reputable place like Piney River Ford.

It's because I exercised my 1st ammendment after, one of their managers,or the shop MANAGER told me I was just a woman that didn't know anything.!!!!! How many woman would stand their and let someone talk to u that way? Not a one I hope. So today after running out of money for a taxi. And not knowing g anyone have just moved back to this town. My son needed to see a doctor and I still had no car and when they were questioned about a time limit. We find out it's not in a shop or at the store at all its at an individuals home. This is not ok in anyway. Do yourself a favor do not buy from these people. They are not good people.

BUYER BEWARE...THIS COMPANY (Carmart of Lebanon, Missouri) PREYS ON THE UNFORTUNATE CIRCUMSTANCES OF THE WORKING CLASS OR DISASSEMBLED PEOPLE..... I haven't received a lein release. I have contacted the BBB and been in contact with our attorney over both of the vehicles I have gotten from Carmart of Lebanon,Missouri. A 2008 Grand Caravan that has been broke down since before I Paid it off in May. Worked on it everyday for 2 years. A lot of witnesses to it being junk since the day we bought it. (Over 2 months paid off and no lein release, no extra key and it a $13,000 yard eye sore. 2014 Armada wouldn't pass inspection after we bought it. Had to bring it in for an hour fix that took hours of us sitting at carmart (with a special needs child going to be getting home why we scheduled more appointments). Salesman lied. No surprise though when we got there for our appointment that was scheduled by the general manager he was not in the office and the maintenance manager and our salesman wasn't even present another person dropped our car off at the shop and we sat at Car-Mart all day for an hour fix. Then when we picked it up after being dropped off with a fuel tank of fuel it was on 1/4 of a tank. I complained...That got me nowhere. The lady that drove us to get the Armada said they have 1000s of notes in repo....GIANT RED FLAGS PEOPLE. THEY SELL LEMONS AND THEN WHEN YOU CANT AFFORD YOUR PAYMENT AND REPAIRS THEY REPO AND YOUR STUCK OUT $1000S, NO VEHICLE AND WORSE CREDIT HISTORY AND REPO. THE General Manager called right after we left to comfort me about my online review. I then found out our salesman lied the day before and Larry was used to bully his way through. Less than 2 weeks after our vehicle started acting weird. We checked the oil to find out it was burnt to the stick. So, we have lifters knocking, a vehicle that doesn't hold oil, that blows white smoke that gets 5 mpg. I have called every other day since and the maintenance manager is never available, doesn't call back or email back. So, I sent the following email to my account manager after I paid $250 of a $650 payment when it was due and sent her an email requesting a call and email from maintenance manager which I did not receive any answer back but a letter from Larry a few days after. (YOU MUST HAVE ALL COMMUNICATION WITH THIS LOCATION IN PRINT BECAUSE ALL OF THEM WILL LIE ABOUT CONVERSATIONS HAD, PROMISES MADE ETC.) Melinda- I sent you an email in response to your last email which obviously meant nothing because I explained everything and said I'd make the rest of the payment ($400) on the 27th after which I received a letter in the mail from Larry stating I have until August 6th to pay the remaining balance of $400. So, I decided I'd take advantage of the extra time while waiting on a lein release and an answer back from the BBB on the van and the Armada. Carmart salesman lying , Larry trying to bully and make small that I was sold a lemon(s) and nobody did anything about it. I'm still waiting on my call back from Mike. I've called numerous times about the Armada since the week after we bought it and realized that there was/is no oil in it and it blows white smoke and gets 5 miles per gallon fuel and the air don't work right. A repeat of my experience with the 2008 Grand Caravan. Surprised? I shouldn't be. So, keep calling. I mean... I do. It doesn't get me anywhere. Thanks for your time. A very dissatisfied repeat customer that will NEVER repeat this mistake again. Shame on me for letting you guys screw me over 2x and out of almost $20,000 already not counting repairs on this Junk.
