I received a beautiful arrangement from 620 Florist as a gift, so I can't speak to price. I do know they delivered on time, and that I found the flowers beautiful. They put them in a basket and clipped little butterflies to the basket. It looked like a little forest bouquet. There was a beautiful mix of snapdragons, button mums, gerbera daisies, and mini roses. Called and made a very descriptive over the top request for the largest bouquet they can make. When asked what to spend we said $150 or more. Very happy to spend whatever we need to make a large whimsical bouquet for our daughter's first recital. When we picked up the bouquet we were BEYOND disappointed and looked like it was from HEB for $10. When we explained our disappointment the manager said they flowers are more expensive than from HEB. I want to also mention it was $125 because they said we didn't need to spend $150. The issue is simply the bouquet was small and then we were told the flowers were more expensive than we would get from HEB. We ended up going to Whole Foods and buying a gorgeous bouquet from there and they helped us design. The woman on the phone also kept cutting me off to interrupt me saying we said $150 when I said no, we would spend whatever we needed. read more

Decided to order local because national services usually mess up orders. Instead, that's what 620 did. I ordered a flower bouquet for my niece's graduation and it never arrived. When I called to find out what was going on, I was told they had it down for the following week, which would make no sense: The point is to have flowers on the day, not a week later. I know absolutely I did give them the right day. They gave a refund, and apologized in a perfunctory way, but honestly acted like it was my fault that they had the wrong day. Absolutely will not use them again and they've also damaged my belief that local florists are more reliable. Avoid. read more

My wife & sister walked in looking for a funeral arrangement, along with boutonnières. My father passed late Tuesday night (today is Thursday) and his funeral is Saturday. Lady came out and asked what they needed...after explaining what we needed the lady said, "No, we need at least a week to make the arrangement". No sympathy towards the unplanned time line. By Monday most of the flowers were dead, Tuesday all except one star gazer bud were dead I reached out and was told the manager would call me, no call. I am writing this review in regards to the flowers I received. My mother ordered specifically a birthday arrangement with no vase. She specified I liked hydrangeas and eucalyptus. I received one stem of each. As you can see in the photos I received what appears to be a holiday arrangement. The no vase request was the only thing they got right. I understand ordering from a florist comes with a premium cost but this was not worth $112 which included a local delivery fee. After calling and speaking with the owner who did not offer a resolution and what I consider to be extremely rude I submitted a complaint with the BBB. This I assume is why she submitted a response to my mother's review below. What about the other one-star, negative reviews? I am writing another review about my experience with 620 Florist. I had asked for flowers delivered for my daughter and I said it was for her Birthday. Not only did I receive a Christmas arrangement but there was plastic greenery in arrangement. I had been pretty specific on what I wanted and person who answered phone said I would need to spend more for the type of flowers requested so i spent $112 total. Both myself and my Daughter have called owner of this shop and was told there was nothing they can do and i personally was hung up on and this morning the owner hung up on my Daughter. I would think shopping local was a good idea but this place is not professional and does not care about good paying customers. We received an absolutely stunning arrangement from 620 Florist after my mother-in-law's passing from some dear friend who have always raved about their arrangements. I could not have been more impressed with these flowers. Our arrangement was hand delivered with care and our delivery person expressed his sympathy for our loss and made sure to tell me how to best care for the arrangement so that they would last as long as possible. The arrangement itself was full and beautiful, and made our home smell incredible for the TWO WEEKS that the arrangement lasted us (because we cared for them exactly how they told us to!). We moved the flowers right to the table by our front door and everyone who came to visit commented on their beauty. (I wish I had a photo of them, but with everything going on at the time, we just didn't get a photo taken) We were so impressed that today we placed an order for an arrangement to be delivered to a friend for her (belated) birthday. The online ordering was easy, and I appreciated the delivery confirmation. However, the end product was different than the picture on the website. The picture on the website had a lot more flowers while the delivered product had a lot more greenery as a filler. The flowers delivered are beautiful but I certainly expected more than what was given. I'm not sure if it's the angle of the picture, but the arrangement looks uneven and there is a slightly broken flower. I know COVID-19 may be a contributing factor to what's available, but I don't feel like what was delivered was considered Deluxe and certainly wouldn't have paid $80 (total after delivery) for this. read more

I recently commented to my boyfriend, "you never buy me flowers." There's a reason for that, as depicted by the side-by-side comparison below. The photo on the left is the "deluxe" arrangement, which is what he ordered and paid for. The photo on the right is what was actually delivered. By count, less than half of the flowers shown were actually delivered. He spent over $100 on this arrangement when the delivery charge is factored in and she received what could have been compiled at the local grocery store for $25. The reason he does not order flowers is because of this reason... they rarely live up to what is advertised. He will not be utilizing 620 Florist or the Teleflora network any time in the near future because neither live up to their advertising on the website. What a waste. I actually believe he should received half my money back since I received half the flowers shown... but I realize that is not how business is done these days. read more

I wish I could give the ladies at 620 Florist 10 stars because they've done it again. My daughter had a Halloween themed wedding last October. I got the bright idea to have her very unusual wedding bouquet re-created as a centerpiece for her birthday, which is this month. These dedicated women searched high and low for 3 1/2 months to find high quality "silk" duplicates of her flowers and arranged them in a white ceramic pumpkin. My daughter was astounded. "It's my wedding flowers!" she exclaimed. "I never would have thought to make them into a centerpiece." I can't say enough wonderful things about these very creative ladies. I specifically chose 620florist because they are located five minutes away from my girlfriends house and I figured that would make the delivery easier for them and quicker. I was wrong. I realize that Valentine's Day is extremely busy for florists but at some point you have to recognize that you have taken too many orders and just stop taking them. Valentine's Day flowers being delivered at 8:20pm is unacceptable. The icing on the cake was that the bouquet only has 11 roses. I paid $105 to have 11 roses delivered. My husband had ordered flowers from there for me twice, the first time the flowers were okay, but they wilted after 2 days. The second time my husband ordered from there was last year and we were about to be married and he ordered flowers to celebrate and he told them our wedding flower was pink daisies. Worst flower arrangement and company I've ever dealt with. I had a $200 dollar arrangement sent to my aunt for the death of her son. I called after I had ordered online to specify what flowers I didn't want in there and pay more for nicer filler flowers. What my aunt received looked nothing like the picture. It was a crammed vase of un-arranged roses. When I called to complain the woman I spoke to repeatedly told me I was wrong and just wanted to argue with me. She told me she could go pick up the flowers and refund me or, pick them up next week and leave a new arrangement. Do yourself a favor and find a better florist. read more

They came & visited our space, made note of our office color scheme and the locations we wanted the arrangements to be placed. When the arrangements were delivered we were all blown away, so much better than what we had expected. The colors were perfect for our decor and the season. The size and shape perfectly matched with the location they were to be placed. And the arrangements were so intricate and detailed. The flowers pretty much stole the show and all our employees and guests wanted to know where we ordered from. Originally I really liked this florist, they were very accommodating when I would call from the airport on my way home from California where I work...they would get my order out right away so that my wife would receive a lovely vase of flowers prior to my arrival home. I am no longer enchanted with 620 Florist, not at all. On my most recent trip to California I called and requested something nice be sent to my wife, it was suggested by the person taking my order to get a vase of Easter Lilys....$40 bucks and a $10 deliver fee - no problem. When I arrived home I found a potted Easter Lily with 3 plastic Easter Eggs. My wife sold the EXACT same thing at Walmart for $6 and when I went to HEB I saw them there for $5.98. Needless to say I was appalled as well as embarrassed. I called 620 Florist and asked to speak with the owner or manager. The woman answering the call neither stated she was the owner nor the manager but suggested I speak with her. I explained my embarrassment and how I felt I was duped into purchasing a $6.00 plant for $50 (including deliver) and her response was "well we are a specialty shop, you pay extra for that." I realize flowers at a florist are going to be higher priced, but really? was she serious? Yep, I gave her every chance to fix the situation, give me my money back, offer to send something different, or perhaps send the Lily's in a vase as I had ordered, but nope, sorry if you don't like it such lemons. As I started to place my order it was clear the website was not representative of the product I was purchasing and she was apathetic at best. I asked about the price and she responded "You tell me." I ordered the premium "Arriving in style" arrangement for my husband on his first week of his new job. Special occasions deserves special flowers. What was delivered was shockingly off from the product picture. The picture shows a lush and elegant arrangement. What was delivered was common, lackluster, stuffed with filler and something you would find at a low end grocery store. When I called to see why my order was so different from the picture, I was told it's what in the "recipe for the arrangement". If that's the case, the recipe is clearly NOT what the online picture shows. Sell what you show or show what you sell, it's the right thing to do or your cheating your customers. I've never complained about flower deliveries, but felt compelled to review this florist. I recently ordered the 'Birthday Bash Bouquet' through Teleflora, which is all very vibrant in color as the name indicates. What ended up being delivered, however, was extremely disappointing. When I called 620 Florist to ask why it was so different than what was represented on Teleflora's website, I was told that they don't always have the exact flowers and have to substitute at times. She also stated Covid as a reason for not having the proper flowers. I do understand that substitutions happen and Covid probably has affected some choices, but I also think it was poor form not to contact me and give me the option to choose something else so it kept the same cheerful vibe. There was absolutely no vibrancy in any of the flowers they selected and it seemed like more filler than flowers! Every color was substituted for something boring and no orange at all! Even the balloon was uninteresting. She claimed it had the same colors, but that's not exactly true given the very muted choices to the point it completely changed the bouquet. The original arrangement had vibrant pinks, oranges, yellow, ribbons, etc. While the flower type may have been the same, the color swap felt more like a funeral arrangement. As a resolution, she offered to go pick up the bouquet and said I could call Teleflora for a refund, but get real, who's going to do that? Take my mother's birthday flowers away??? My dentist sent me some flowers as a thank you for work I had done, from this florist. They arrived in bad shape, wilted, just really sad, only lasted a couple of days. I called to let them know how disappointed I was. They were really hostile, I can't believe how rude they were. I've been using 620 for 8 years since living in South Austin, moving to Oregon, to Dallas and back to Austin. I would 100% recommend them. With my old job I was sending flowers several times a week and tried other companies and always had horrible experiences. 620 is reliable, can wire to a reputable florist elsewhere with no issues, and locally speaking the flowers are gorgeous. I've learned that it's best to have some buds in your arrangement so you can enjoy them longer and the pics below show that buds. I am also picky where my money goes and have made florist refund me and resend arrangements before. Never the case with 620. Thumbs up from me. read more
