I had really high hopes for Ladybird in the Short North. My best friend and I stopped in today and…read moreimmediately loved the selection--the clothes are adorable, stylish, and chic, and we were genuinely considering purchasing several items. Unfortunately, the customer service was a completely different story. It's a very small boutique, yet we were never acknowledged--not a hello, not an offer to help, nothing. Meanwhile, the manager/owner appeared completely occupied with another woman who dominated the conversation at length about having so many clothing options that she couldn't decide what to wear to an upcoming event. We browsed for quite a while and were fully prepared to spend money, but after being completely ignored, we ultimately decided to leave. For a small boutique, the personal shopping experience should be part of what makes you want to shop there rather than online or at a larger retailer. The merchandise at Ladybird was lovely, but unfortunately the lack of even basic acknowledgment made us feel as though our business simply wasn't important. Such a shame, because we really wanted to love this store.

I'm sure for more general shopping it's fine. It's a nice bright store, lots of shoes. Not exactly cheap; in fact some of the kids' shoes cost more than mine. But it's nice to have a real shoe store, not just root around in the scraps at a department store. Rare nowadays. I'm sure the staff are more knowledgeable about footwear than at a big box sundries store.

Outstanding experience, start to finish (hehe)…read more I've been in need of new running shoes for a while now and after briefly looking around Columbus before the pandemic kicked off, I ended up deciding to just stop in here to get the job done. Located right off High St. in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the Short North, CRC is a haven for anyone that enjoys running, walking, or heck, even skipping. From a Brooks sponsored treadmill for testing out shoes, to accessories and great, quality brands, I find it would be very difficult to walk out of here not able to get what you're looking for. Additionally, the customer service was the absolute best you can ask for. Safety precautions were set in place (staff in masks, social distancing, etc.), my running needs were addressed, and fabulous recommendations were made. I've been a fan of Brooks for a while now, but haven't ran in them my entire life. When I arrived I planned on just getting a newer version of what I already had. Instead I walked out with something totally different and more appropriate for my needs as a runner. To add icing on the cake, the brand I went with offers a 30-day money back guarantee. If ultimately it doesn't work out, I'm confident I'll be able to go back and find something that will.

Shopping here truly feels like a luxury experience, and that is unusual in retail stores these days.

My friend made arrangements for a private shopping experience for our group of friends during pre-covid times. Katya had snacks and champagne for us to indulge in while we shopped and tried on clothes. When I was told the shop specialized in caftans I wasn't quite sure what to expect. How many vintage caftans can a studio hold? First, not all of the caftans are vintage. Some are newer fabrics paired with older designs. Second, there are also jewelry, hats, rompers, dresses, and shoes! Third, there was more than one room so take your time so you can explore all of the space and find items you like. If we had a question about any item such as care (vintage sometimes comes without care labels) or approximate size in today's world, Katya was able to assist. Nowadays she has items available on her site and on Facebook. You can even sign up for the S.R. Provisions monthly subscription for $35 where a box of items curated around a them is sent to you. I remember when I first moved to the Short North 5 years ago, I was worried that I'd be too close to the Homage on Brickel and would constantly be there spending money. Sure enough, the manager soon knew me by name (lol!). They have now moved a little farther north on the main drag of High St in the Short North near the corner of High & Hubbard. I don't go as much as I used to since many times, I order online. I find that Homage's website has anything you'd need, whereas this particular location mostly has OSU and CBJ gear (which makes sense given the location). But I am probably in here 2-3 times a month and find the staff to be welcoming and helpful, even if I can't find what I'm looking for. All in all, these are some of the comfiest tees, crewnecks and hoodies you can own. I have drawers and drawers full of just Homage gear and I've gifted countless items to friends and family. Such a great brand and always a great experience! Keep doin' you, Homage!

In one of the pics I saw a little beehive Christmas ornament so thought I would go check it out (my mom is bee anything crazy). I wasn't sure where the GPS was taking me but once I saw the beatiful mural on the side, I knew where I was heading. Really friendly staff and some really cute gifts here. I was promptly greeted when I came in and was offered some coffee or water. I had to pass as it was a quick stop but I really liked the vide here. The shop had a bit of everything including clothing, candles, jewelry, and all sorts of gifts including some gorgeous drinking glasses. Definitely worth browsing just to check it all out. Overall, it looked like the general price point is on the higher end but nothing too outrageous for a boutique shop. I did find the ornament I saw in the picture but I know my mom already has the same one, or one that could pass off as its twin anyway. So many cute gifts and would totally visit again even though I didn't find something this trip. I really had to resist buying something just to buy it (holidays and all) but they have so much cute stuff.
