If you are considering using '58 Foundations, I strongly recommend that you reconsider. I selected this company due to the positive reviews and the promise of a satisfaction guarantee. The sales representative even told me that the '58 Foundations president's phone number is available for anyone who is not satisfied, because no one ever has to call it.
The '58 Foundations representative advised that an encapsulation was needed along with other work. We assumed it was done correctly; boy, were we wrong. When a county inspector came to inspect other work that had been done at our house, we discovered that not only did '58 not pull a permit, as required by NC law, but the work was also not done correctly. After numerous texts, calls, and waiting periods, and FOUR additional visits back to our house, the work that started in March is finally complete at the end of June - at least that's our hope.
Because we were not satisfied, we attempted to find out more about the satisfaction guarantee that the sales representative was so proud of. What we discovered, however, is that the president's phone number is nowhere to be found, and when you do finally get someone at the corporate office, not only are they not familiar with the policy, but no one calls back, though you are told they will.
We have spent a significant amount of money and time with a company that produces subpar work and fails to uphold its satisfaction guarantee claims. Please find a reputable company that will use your hard-earned money and trust better than '58 Foundations. The only way '58 could earn a 5-star rating from me is to add up the five 1-star ratings they deserve. read more
