Hector is rude, hung up on me while I was trying to tell him that his drivers are purposely blocking the garages by putting the garbage can where people are suppose to park their cars. When I called back, I heard him say "yeah I hung up on her" His supervisor is just as rude. I believe her name is Tammy but it doesn't matter since she answered completely rude. I don't know how these people have jobs. Both don't care about customer service, I 100% DO NOT recommend this trash service as that's exactly what the customer service is - TRASH. read more

Despite calls to report the issue, they don't respond or take responsibility. If you're considering their services, be aware that they show little regard for the neighbors affected by their work. I was on the highway and one of the 5280 truck had not covered container. While on the highway S225 near 17th Ave. I pulled up next to the driver and told him what happened and he shrugged his shoulder and kept driving. I reported to the company sent them information and the yard supervisor and operation manager told me to report it to my insurance as a road hazard. I ordered a 30yd dumpster for home delivery. Stated it would be placed on the st in front of my house. Asked to have the driver call beforehand so I could move my vehicles for the dumpster to be placed. Did not receive a call prior. I was then told I could not place on the street in front of my house without a permit. Was never told this prior. Was then told I could apply for the permit but it would still cost a could not deliver fee of 200$. So I asked to cancel. This cost a fee of 200$ as well even though I explained where the dumpster would be placed prior to delivery. Seemed like a great rate for the dumpster. I have been leasing dumpsters from them for about 2 years now and they recently hand a change in management. If I could give them ZERO STARS I WOULD. The NEW general manager is absolutely RUDE and she has no business being the the service industry. Her name is Laura, just so no one else gets the blame for her rude behavior. She has only been in this industry for about 2 months now and not sure how she qualified to be in that position. Being a professional goes a long way, so when your new GM tells me what people have been fired and that she makes the policies not anyone else. Irresponsible drivers that put others at risk. I was personally harassed by one of their drivers while walking my dogs, as he continued to honk at me to scare my dogs. One of them backed out of his harness multiple times, and the driver must have thought it was funny since he pulled over at a nearby store to continue to make gestures at me and watch me walk back until he realized I was recording him. When I sent the recording to the company and made a complaint, I was told they would "let him know he can't be doing that". No real consequence for putting the lives of my dogs at risk, harassing me, or the borderline stalking behavior of pulling over to watch me walk home to try and intimidate me. read more

The driver fled the scene so I got his info and contacted the company. A man named Harry said he would help me and wanted to set up a time to meet, but stopped responding to my texts and emails. I needed a roll off to dispose of old household goods after a Spring cleaning. I called 5280 Waste Solutions. The scheduling clerk discussed alternatives with me. They scheduled delivery of the rolloff two days later, which they were able to unload on my driveway, keeping my HOA happy. I filled it up and they picked it up two days later, as scheduled. This company drove up and left a dumpster on our property, which was obviously the wrong address, blocking our student parking. The driver didn't stop to ask anyone if it was the correct place or placement; in fact he didn't stop at all, except to drop the dumpster. Within 5 minutes, I called to correct the error and explaining that the driver, who couldn't have been more than 3 miles away at the moment needed to return immediately to retrieve the dumpster and move it to the correct location. Nothing was done. I called 1 1/2 hours later and am still waiting for them to return and remove the dumpster which is currently trespassing on district property. If this is the lack of attention they provide to situations, I'm positive I don't want to use them. read more

UPDATE: Within 24 hours of bringing the issue to the company's attention I received two calls--one from the Director of Sales and one from the owner. Both were very eager to make things right. And they have (or are in the process of doing so). I understand that miscommunications happen and that all companies make mistakes from time to time, and I appreciate that 5280 owned their mistake and made the extra effort to make things right. Not a lot of companies will do that. So, it seems 5280 is one of the few companies that still value their customers and try to do business the right way. ORIGINAL POST: I've worked with other dumpster companies before, and all were better than these guys. I ordered a 14 day dumpster for $375, but made it very clear that I wasn't sure how long I would end up needing the dumpster for and that I would call to schedule a pick-up when I was done. I was told that would be fine and that I would be charged $15 for each additional day that I keep the dumpster. Long story short, they came to pick up the dumpster before I scheduled a pick-up and, despite my wife telling the guy that we weren't done with it, they took it away. I called their office and they said sorry and I would need to rent another dumpster for $375. Awesome. I only needed it for another 6 days (or $90)... In other words, the next time I need a dumpster, I'll save myself the time, money, and frustration and just use someone else. read more

There's no room for drama queens in this economy. As far as residential waste dumpsters go; it's a pretty simple business. - Deliver a container for people to put waste in, pick it up, charge the customer. Sometimes you have to get a city permit...but it's not something that doesn't happen everyday. So why can't this happen without attitude, and a 3 party call-back team?! Let's start with their excuses: 1. They're too busy 2. They don't have enough containers 3. Compliance dictates they cannot place a container in the perfectly normal, flat and accessible back yard This really isn't a big deal, but after 6 months of dealing with their whining and refusing to give us simple things like invoices...I am NEVER using this service ever again. Our most recent example is an order we placed for an Englewood property. Several weeks have past and still no dumpster. We've been using their service for over a year, through various General Contractors and some Direct Pay. They have all our phone numbers and the delivery guy on the scene told my boss he would deliver the unit to the back yard as he was looking at the property 3 days ago. Why?...well the "compliance officer" who answers the phone like a disgruntled and homicidal receptionist says "it's delivered on the street or not at all". Here's why I finally gave up and called another company immediately: - They send multiple invoices for the same property, same charge, but different invoice number ( I'm not sure why, perhaps just in case you're asleep at the wheel you might pay them again). - The "compliance officer" is just like the other billing personnel who cannot take a simple request without getting offended and responding unprofessionally. - We do street permit drops all the time with them; but they had to make this one impossible to deliver and impossible to discuss for no reason at all. Our Agent viewed the property to confirm our request was appropriate (and guess what, it's no different than our other back yard deliveries). - They won't extend the same prices they offer our GC to us when we pay direct. - They charge our credit card and rarely ever send an invoice to tell me what for. - They raised their prices last month because they have low capacity rather than working on availability (hello...buy more containers...it's a no-brainer....more containers = more money) ~ just sayin. read more

You should hire these guys if you want them to wreck your neighbor's property. Property damage happened on multiple occasions. I contacted Skip - the General Manager - with no results. The property damage has cost me over $1000 so far. I would pass on hiring these guys and their drivers. 5280 Waste Solutions may be cheaper on the front end, but you always getting what you paid for in the long run. I will never hire 5280 Waste Solutions - their trucks are just too big to do any residential service. Plus, there are plenty of other roll-off services to choose from. The gentlemen who answered the phone was helpful when deciding which unit we would need, took care of all of the details efficiently and followed through with the delivery as promised. I had a miserable experience with this service and would not recommend their use to anyone. Prices were comparable to other services I found. First of all, this company could only guarantee the day my roll off dumpster would be delivered, not even a 4-hour window. When ordering I was informed there was a 10 and 14-day rental. I thought 10 would suffice but was told that if I ordered the 14-day but ended up using it 10 days or less I would be charged that amount. It turned out my demo crew filled it up in a day! I called to have an exchange made for the 30 YD roll off dumpster and was informed that there was actually a 5-day rental. Great I thought, I'll save a little bit of money. Instead I was told that since it was logged in as a 14-day that is what I would be charged. I requested to speak to the manager but at the time she/he was busy. Three hours (or more) later after not hearing from the manager I called back and was informed I would only be charged for the 5-day. I still needed the exchange to happen so I ordered a 10-day 30YD to replace my full dumpster. This was a Thursday and I was scheduled to receive the exchange on a Friday. When I arrived at my house on Saturday to continue demo work I the dumpster had not been replaced. I had nowhere to place all the demolished debris and could not work that entire weekend since 5280 Waste Solutions was closed. I left a message but still had to call in Monday morning to this time cancel the roll off dumpster. I lost weekend of productivity on my full remodel and received no apologies. This company has terrible customer service and an even worse scheduling system. Your local cable company is more punctual than this company. 5/5/2016 - I am following up on my review after being contacted by the owner and working through the issues. From a customer perspective 5280 Waste Solutions made the appropriate efforts to remedy these issues I experienced as any customer would expect. The owner expressed his sincere apologies and noted the efforts he is making to strengthen his customer service department to keep pace with a fast-growing business in a fast-growing market. Due to the efforts made to remedy the issues I experienced I have changed my rating from 1 to 3 stars and certainly I expect this rating to increase as the planned improvements are implemented at this company. They told me the pick up would be on a Friday and they moved it to Thursday and want to charge me an extra 160.00 I feel scammed. The bad: - We've been in business for 32 years with credit accounts all over town with our vendors but they can't get in touch with anyone in the industry to process our credit app that has been outstanding for months. No one else that we've opened credit accounts with this year seemed to have a problem. - Can't give you a time frame for delivery; at best it is AM or PM, but don't count on either - No invoicing like the above review stated but they will double charge your card, so heads up. Have fun getting your money back! - The staff is either uninformed or really rude when you call. I feel bad for most of the gals that pick up the phone over there; you can tell they have no answers and probably get yelled at a lot during the day. There is one gal in particular, however, that is crazy rude. In theory, she sounds like she knows what she is talking about and normally, I'd take competence over friendliness. In this case, however, she's rude AND ineffective. - I've been lied to, my guys have been lied to, generally, a lot of lying from this company about the who/what/when/where/why of getting a dumpster The Neutral: - Haven't had a problem with the drivers - Haven't had a problem with the dumpster itself or the pickup I want to give a small, local business my money but they make it really hard to want to do business with them. I am so grateful for this company. We recently purchased a home and have had to do some major remodeling to get it livable. I needed a dumpster on the weekend when I had enough people over to help pull up carpet and get rid of a bunch of garbage that had collected from the renovation. I ordered a dumpster through another company (Budget Dumpster - do not use) and they gave us a 12 hour window for delivery on Friday. When I showed up to the house Saturday, the day after it was supposed to be delivered, there was no dumpster. What was worse, the company was closed on Saturday so I had no way to get a hold of them. I called 5280 and they were able to get a dumpster out to me within the hour! We were able to get all of the debris out of the way so we can finally prepare to move into our first home. I am so thankful for this company! They truly saved the day!! read more

My neighbor had a 5280 roll off in his driveway 3 days ago and I have needing to get one delivered as well so I called for a drop off. When I called I was told that they do not deliver to my area ( on Lookout Mountain) I stated that was interesting because my neighbor just had a roll off in his driveway from this company. That's where I got the number from. I was then told that they didn't have any drivers available to go that far out of town ( I live 10 minutes from Golden). I asked how was there not drivers available when I had requested a drop off 2 weeks from now? I will never recommend this company or use this company. I called someone else. They accommodated my request & they were very quick, professional and super easy to work with. Came and picked it up when I was ready.
