I have been digging this park since it opened; there's so much to do here:…read more - Play ground with big kids and small kids sections - Dope sprinkler park - 2 tennis courts - 4 basketball courts - Baseball field - Bike and jogging path - Football/soccer turf field (with bleachers too!) - Dog run (with water fountain) - Fitness Circuit (9 stations) On most weekends there is usually an ice cream truck or two parked near the playground, but I have yet to see any other vendors. Throughout the park there are a couple different areas for bike parking and car parking is currently pretty easy on Garfield Ave, I hope that doesn't change! There are other parts of the park that are not open yet which I think will be the skate park and a lawn. There are benches throughout the park and picnic tables at the south end by the dog run. Jersey city has Liberty State Park and Lincoln park, which are good for jogging, biking, or chilling out on a blanket. Berry Lane Park is more activity orientated, kind of like a modernized Pershing Field. Berry park is a great addition to the neighborhood and Jersey City overall.

Great park, large open street plaza with small u and clover bowls with one side a bit oververt. The…read morehips are not easy to hit because they are so wide. One side of the U is steeper than the others and the transition could be smoother. Overall a lot of fun to ride nice flow, some 2 board gaps, the locals seem pretty chill. I feel like the person who designed the bowl was goofy footed so if your goofy you'll love the bowl

I wish this was around when I was a teenager because getting thrown out of public parks was not a…read morefun way to spend time skating. This skate plaza was built for the Maloof money cup comp back in 2010. It was graciously offered to NYC after the competition and the city gratefully accepted. It was designed by Steve Rodriguez and built by "California Skateparks" The location of the park may be hard to find for some while entering the park from its many entrances. The skate plaza is located near the astral fountain, adjacent to the new York state pavilion. The surface is really nice and smooth concrete and there is no attendant. The park can be skated from dawn till dusk.. Park lights slightly illuminate the park just enough to continue skating after hours. You can expect all the regulars here. Scooters, Boarders, Bladers and Bikers all here at once making the best of it. Pot heads lighting up joints and blunts, kids tagging up all over the place and basically anything goes here. We value the woman with the empanadas that rolls through every couple of hours to feed and keep us hydrated. The Muscle Milk truck rolls through regularly and Redbull also shows up sometimes to give us free promotional drinks for advertising purposes which is really nice. I personally love this park and would defend it with my life... keep that in mind if you decide to desecrate the park in my presence. (talking to you F$@$heads who write your tag all over everything)

A skateboard park right in Flushing Meadows Park?…read more Sure is. Cool spot for all the shreadheads looking to get in some boarding practice. Ramps, steps, hills, railings, curves. Everything you need to hone your skills. Along with scoring some bumps, scrapes, and bruises along the way. Located somewhat near the NYS Pavillion area.
