This is a women's fitness studio with trainers who are encouraging and supportive. There are…read moreclasses that focus on different muscles and the workouts change each month. The trainer will walk you through the exercises at the beginning of each class and then they'll turn up high energy playlists for warm ups and the workouts. There are four sections that you rotate between, each section has at least two exercises. So if you end up dreading one of the sections, you're only there for a few minutes. The trainers will take the time to help you with the exercises if you're struggling and suggest modifications to the workouts if you need them. The classes have made me much more comfortable with incorporating weights into my workouts. The only downside is that facility does not have a shower and the last classes during the week begin at 5:30 pm.

I had been a member at PF but found it quit boring! Ambition has went above and beyond in results, classes, and making you realize that you can do it! My 1st class was Upper Hirt. 4 stations...teams together supporting each other. The break down is each station has 2 special movements and or weights geared for that area of muscle and body strength. The team is in groups and each switches off to do those particular tasks. The class last for 45 minutes and let me tell you...YOU WILL WORK YOUR ASS OFF AND YOU WILL FEEL IT THEN AND THE NEXT DAYS TO COME! They also have Lower Hirt. Full Body...Etc. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Ambition Fitness! I am 53 and trying to tone and build muscle with cardio. This is WOMEN ONLY and a fun women bonding experience. You will love it and be proud of your success. Please mention my name if and when you call. Katie will Be eager to help answer any and all of your questions.

Great little gym that has amazing trainers. I've personally trained with Richard and Xavier and…read morewould recommend both. Both are friendly and knowledgeable and Richard does a great job designing workout plans.

I suppose my first clue should have been the purposeful misspelling of the business's name! Behind…read moreevery botched spelling is either an owner who has no clue how to run a business, or simply can't spell. Either is concerning. First a little history, three of us signed up for private training sessions three times a week with the business's "owner" Richard. Richard is a competitive bodybuilder. You won't have to ask him, trust me he will tell you. His approach to training is I am a "competitive bodybuilder", there are two ways to do things, his way and the wrong way. I suppose the only issue with that is you had a 30 something, a 40 something and a 50 something , None of whom were aspiring to be Mr. Kentucky. One guy dropped after a couple of months when he felt like he wasn't getting the sort of results he wanted. When he took his concerns to Richard the response was "this is how I do things". The other gentleman dropped off for a variety of reasons leaving only me to continue. I was finally handed off to CJ. CJ is a solid trainer-I got results and progressed better than I had under Richard. Or under any other trainer for that matter. As best I can tell CJ is the only one who really accomplishes anything on behalf of the business. There is also Brandon the boxing coach who is not only very talented but just an all-around nice guy. So what's the issue you might ask. Well that's where things get complicated. Richard is in the middle of "competition season" . Again you won't have to ask him, he will tell you. That is when he shows up to his own gym. You could look for him in his office but you would struggle to find him since it looks like somebody blew up a Kinko's, a supplement supply shop, and a storage closet and then piled everything on the floor. Richard is basically an absentee owner. Which is to say right now he is more interested in his pecs and delts than he is running his business. Understanding how you're billed is a nightmare. I got charged regularly but I never received a bill or an invoice. Worse, I never really understood the billing process. Basically you commit to a number of times a week that equals a monthly amount and everyone is billed on the same day whether the month has four weeks or five weeks. Richards explanation was it all sort of works out in the end! I travel a lot for work and sometimes would miss one or two weeks at a time. His suggestion was I could do some "online sessions" or if I remembered how many days I missed I could try and schedule some make up sessions. If I wasn't able to do that, oh well. Unfortunately all of this puts the onus on the client as opposed to where it belongs.....on the business. I made several suggestions for workarounds. Unfortunately that fell on deaf ears. If that was the only issue you could almost blow it off. Unfortunately, there are a laundry list of issues. The gym is always dirty. Never once in my entire Time at the gym did I ever see anyone do anything more than use a Clorox wipe to clean some thing a client had just put down. Half the times the place was either ice cold or roasting hot. They are lacking certain basic pieces of equipment like a weight belt, a flat bench or mats to stretch on that don't look like they had been used as a dogs chew toy. I raised a few of these issues with the owner and was told "yeah, that's not gonna happen, we won't be getting that". Crap and supplies are piled up wherever they happen to get unloaded and sit in the same place for months at a time. Like I said they have a couple of really good trainers but the business is a joke and the owner isn't particularly interested in deviating from how things are done or in some cases not done!

This is one of my most favorite places!!…read more I've been a member at Edge Body for years now. It all started at their old Hikes Point location with a 6 week Groupon and I was hooked. The current location is awesome... so spacious with so much equipment. Everyone is friendly and the staff is always so helpful, encouraging, knowledgeable, and will challenge you if need be. I've made several friends there as well, where we will hold each other accountable which also motivates you to keep going. Each day is a different designed workout for specific areas of the body with music playing through their systems. It's nice to not have to think about what you need to do at the gym that day or design your own workout or even try to push yourself. It's all there for you! They even have heart monitors you can check out/wear to track your heart rate and calories. The workouts: Sunday is core, Monday is total body, Tuesday is lower body, Wednesday is core & cardio, Thursday is upper body, Friday is a challenge day that will work your whole body, and Saturday offers an Advanced Camp, Yoga, and a free (with the donation of a canned good) :45 total body workout for anyone (that means non-members too). That free workout is called Get Fit Give Back. All the canned goods are then donated to Dare to Care. I love that they give back. The work outs are in :30 increments which helps members to stagger their start times. However, if you put two :30 workouts back to back, the hour will be all different... and then it will start over. The trainers will also help you meal plan, offer nutrition classes, track your progress, etc... whatever it will take to help you succeed.
