Well now it's the CW again, and from the looks of it not much has changed. Still the same long walks down the hallways in relative quiet, unless you are rolling the panel truck like I was. Friendly customer service through the phone when I asked about availability/quantity of corrugated roofing panels. Then at the store the staff would help find the appropriate wood screws. Whereas in the past I remembered older folks staffing the store, now it's mostly younger guys and gals though knowledgeable all the same. Can't put my finger on it, but it does feels different from a Home Depot but in a good way.

Very few employees speak Spanish, which makes communication difficult for many customers. It is important to have staff who can assist customers in both English and Spanish. In addition, getting help from an employee takes an extremely long time. During my visit, I asked a cashier to hold an item for me while I continued shopping and planned to purchase it. Later, I discovered that the item had been sold to someone else. I found this very frustrating and unprofessional. What was even more disappointing was that the manager did not seem concerned about resolving the situation or addressing my complaint. I do not enjoy shopping here because of the poor customer service. Many of my construction employees and coworkers have shared similar experiences and have told me they avoid this store because of the service. Management and ownership should understand that customer service is just as important as pricing. If customers do not feel valued and respected, they will choose to spend their money elsewhere.

We've interviewed a few home builders, checked out their work and reputation, and eventually decided to go with Gil, Oren, and the whole team of Go Home Builders. Working with the insurance was a pain, luckily Gil had experience working with Allstate insurance before, and he helped us a lot getting the money we needed to rebuild our home. The planning process took a bit longer than what we initially planned for. The county of LA took their sweet time approving our plans. Fortunately, after 2 sets of revisions we were fully approved. The construction wasn't bad at all, they had plenty of guys working on our home at the same time. The only time there was no work, was on inspection days. The finishes was one thing that was extremely important for us. My wife and I are detail oriented and wanted to make sure we're choosing the right company to do the finish work correctly. All I can say is that they exceeded my expectations. Overall the beginning of the process was extremely emotional challenging, but the whole team of Go Home Builders made us feel like we're not alone. My wife and I are very grateful for them. I'd highly recommend.

Go Home Builders did a wonderful job with our primary bathroom remodel. We interviewed multiple…read morecompanies and went with GHB since they seemed the most design-forward and client-friendly of the bunch, and gave us a reasonable quote too. I had a rough vision in mind for fitting a lot into a relatively small space, but wanted to see the options rendered so I could better make the big layout and design decisions. Alexis was very patient and super helpful in mocking up each iteration until we locked in the final design. Once it was time to actually break ground, Gil, Oren, Uriel, and the rest of the team were really responsive and always available by text. Unlike previous contractors we've worked with, they usually gave us an idea of what was happening the next day/week and who to expect onsite. The first ~70% of the project went really smoothly and far exceeded my expectations. Demo, framing, rough plumbing, and electrical all largely went without a hitch. We ran into some problems towards the end around communication, timeline, and subcontractor oversight -- which led to more delays when someone punctured our new in-wall toilet tank and flooded both the bathroom and bedroom. We know every construction job runs into challenges so we weren't bent out of shape by it, and we did appreciate that GHB took full responsibility for fixing the issues. By and large we were really impressed by most of their subcontractors, especially the very professional and considerate plumbing, electrical, and tiling teams! After living with our new bathroom for a while now, we can definitely say it was worth the wait, and such a huge improvement over our previous dysfunctional layout. Thanks to GHB for their great service, amazing attitude, attention to detail, and for bringing the bright, colorful bathroom of my dreams to life!

Somehow, we lucked out and got a response from GHI. We usually don't choose businesses with 0 reviews, but Vini and Manuel clearly knew their stuff and were the obvious choice among the contractors we met with. It definitely helped that they gave us a reference, someone in my neighborhood with a gorgeous prefab home that they had done the carport for, and that person gave a truly glowing review. Some great things to note: - They are FAST (they came by the next day to estimate the work and give us a quote, and wrapped everything up within 3 days, exactly as estimated). - Their work is quality, and they were very accepting of feedback whenever we noticed something that needed extra attention. We are admittedly very very picky, so our bar is high here. - They are trustworthy, friendly, reasonably priced, and professional. They came in with masks, and kept them on the entire time. We really appreciated their attentiveness to safety. While they just started their contractor partnership (which explains their lack of reviews), between them they have decades of experience. We've been dealing with really terrible contractors for a while now, and it is so refreshing to have a team to depend on. I have already recommended them to all my friends, and I'm already thinking about the next project to put them on. Thank you, Vini and Manuel!

As they started their work, Luis and his guys started pointing out issues we weren't aware of. Their attention to detail was excellent, and though the work wasn't in the original plan (replacing a lot of wood facia that was rotted, replacing two termite ridden wood windows, lighting installation, painting brick, etc), following their reccomendations was the right thing to do. The guys working on the house (pre and post stucco work) were all so polite and accommodating, so even though there was a constant swirl of work, it didn't feel that imposing. The end result was that even though the scope of their work increased (doubled) it was way worth it to do and the quality of the workmanship was spot on and the house looks great when combined with the stucco smoothing work done by the other company. Luis was easy to work with and easy to coordinate all aspects of his team (via texting) and didn't push any new fix, just pointed them out. Definitely a reccomend and will likely be having them back for other work in the future.
