A student dentist with very limited experience worked on my teeth and mistakenly treated what was actually a filling as if it were plaque. As a result, the surface of my tooth is now rough and uneven in several areas. When I raised concerns, I was repeatedly told that my tooth was already like that, which was not the case. The student dentist even admitted uncertainty about whether there had been a filling and had no "before" documentation to confirm. I was assured the issue would be corrected the following day by Dr. Rob Eisen. However, when I returned, to see doctor Dr. Jerry Jesin I was told I would need to pay to have the damage fixed. This was extremely frustrating, as I did not arrive with this issue, and the initial appointment had already been cut short due to the problem. Overall, I found the experience unprofessional and disappointing, and I would not recommend this clinic based on my experience. Seems like this place focuses on older people and is assurance grab. However not so with Dr. Oktaei! She has been the only dentist to date who has proven time and time again - to perform various dental procedures on me using only local freezing with unbelievable pain free success. From dental cleanings. repairing a broken molar, needing to extract teeth, to fixing my numerous cavities - Dr. Oktaei has successfully performed all of these dental procedures on me using only local freezing - without me feeling any pain! Also every dental procedure provided lasting results without complications. For example, just recently I needed emergency dental surgery to have my upper wisdom teeth. extracted. I still recall how anxious I was fearing the worst since I was over 50 years old. Where having my wisdom teeth pulled at this stage presented certain risks and possible complications as I was told by oral surgeons at the Emergency Department. Being put under general anesthesia or using Nitrous Oxide gas also presented other risks. So I opted to have my wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Oktaei using local freezing only. To this day I remain amazingly surprised at Dr. Oktaei's skill and ability to pull both of my wisdom teeth so quickly and efficiently using only local freezing. Before I knew it - both teeth were extracted without me feeling ANY PAIN through out the entire procedure. I also had no complications afterwards. Needless to say, over the past 5 years of being Dr. Oktaei's patient - I cannot but praise her enough! Her knowledge and skills to address and fix any dental problems I have presented has been resolved with ease. In additional to her professional expertise the added bonus is that she exudes such an amazing warm personable disposition towards all of her patients She truly cares about her patients' oral health, she listens to her patients' voiced concerns and alleviates one's fears. Before my appointment, I learned that my originally booked dentist had an emergency. Dr. Igor Vujanic (who is also the owner of the practice) stepped in to take care of me, along with his assistant. I couldn't have asked for better care. Both were warm, friendly, and professional from start to finish. Dr. Igor took the time to clearly explain what he was doing, which I really appreciated -- it made the whole experience much more comfortable. Best of all, I was done within 30 minutes of sitting in the chair. A couple of practical tips for new patients: this is a very busy office, so booking ahead is essential as they fill up fast, especially it seems the practice recently went from 4 dentists down to 3. Also, I'd suggest giving yourself more than a tight one-hour window for your appointment -- in a real-world clinical setting, previous appointments can sometimes run a little over, and you don't want to feel rushed.
