When I walked in I could right away tell this establishment was family owned. I tried selling a firearm and was told what they could offer me but gave me advice to keep what I got and let the market get better before selling. read more

Very rude people. Incredibly entitled. They think walk in customers are a hassle. They want all their customers to go in with exactly what gun they want to buy, despite 2/3 of their guns being used guns. If you're there to browse to find a new gun that you didn't know you want, don't go there.... They'll treat you like crap. Use forums or gunbroker to find guns, don't pay 50% more to be treated poorly in this dying retail store. read more

Guns (new and used), ammo, and accessories (cases, holsters, cleaning kits, etc.). This gun store has been around for at least 25 years, and is now in the 2nd generation of family ownership. VERY knowledgeable owner. Maybe they don't have exactly 500 guns, but they have a lot. Pistols, revolvers, rifles, and shotguns. All price ranges. Prices might be a little higher than chain stores such as Wal-mart and Gander Mountain and similar places, but you're also paying for the selection, service and advice. Wal-mart employees won't really be able to answer gun-specific questions or give advice on the various ins and outs of shooting sports. Gander Mountain (and similar places), maybe a little, but not to the extent that real hunters and gun-people like the owner here can. Their gun shop features many stuffed/mounted animals that the owners have taken in Africa and in the Americas. So it's a cool place to browse. If I could give no or negative stars, I would! This review won't be funny, witty or cool. It will be honest, harsh and perhaps useful to some. My husband and I were looking for a firearm to use for home protection. When we walked in, I could not have been more disgusted. The entire place is "decorated" with the taxidermy of animals, many from protected, endangered and vulnerable species that were slaughtered to use as trophies. We aren't talking about a deer that was hunted and used for meat to feed someone's family. We're talking about the legs of an elephant being used as stools for you to sit on while looking at their merchandise. We're talking about the hands of a gorilla being used as candy dishes. Drove 40 miles to this store with cash in hand to buy my first firearm. Upon asking Joe, the associate, to show me how to properly remove the slide on the pistol I was going to purchase he replied: "No, it is a used gun and frankly I don't see any reason you would want to do that". I was speechless as I walked out of the door, cash still in hand. I was in just 2 days before interested in the same gun and the associate named Guy was much more helpful. I will take my business elsewhere unless they subtract customer service from their prices. read more

I went there for the first time over the weekend. They have a good selection of firearms (rifles, shotguns, and handguns *a little light on the handguns*). Their prices are a little higher BUT.... so is their quality. The service was high quality as well. All of the employees were more than willing to answer questions. They appeared to be highly knowledgeable, but they were able to talk to the customers at their level. (Meaning when they talked to me, not being an expert, they spoke clearly so I would understand without sounding in any way demeaning). On top of that when they didn't have what we were looking for they openly informed us of a gun show taking place in the area that we were unaware of. I would defiantly return there. An excellent selection of firearms and superb customer service (a quality that many gun shops around the Indy area seem to be loosing). read more

My visit was very pleasant. The shop full with exotic game heads from Africa ,This showed me this man has the knowledge of hunting and what it takes to get the job done. His inventory was very good with many guns not found in an ordinary gun stores. I found what I was looking for and was very pleased with it. I will be going back again. read more
