Convenient location. Great customer service. About 10 of us stopped by today and they quickly took our orders and produced our food. The food is just ok. I ordered six honey barbecue flats which came with fries. The ranch costed extra. For the restaurant to be so crowded, I was really surprised that when I received my food, it tasted like it had been under a warming heater vs. fresh out of the hot grease. Hadn't planned on eating here, but after doing so, we definitely weren't disappointed. The building itself needs some real help, but the service was good and the food was exceptional. My favorite thing to order here is the mama's garlic fried wings. I've ordered here quite a few times because they are really close to my house, and it's usually pretty good. My least favorite thing to order from here is the Philly cheesesteak and it was awful. It was full of lettuce which is weird to me, and you could tell the meat was not seasoned at all. It also had a ton of mayonnaise and minimal cheese on it which is also weird to me. I really like their barbecue smothered chips The first time I ordered them. They had run out of regular chips, so they made homemade chips using fried flour which I thought was really good. The next time I ordered them though, they were out of chips again, but this time all they did was use french fries instead. And that was a bad decision because the french fries were not very good, But they did add some extra ingredients without any extra charge (nacho cheese, diced tomatoes, and onions) I requested, which would have made it better if it weren't for the French fries. the fries are not good at all and it's unfortunate because they force them on you with every order whether you want them or not. Even if you order a different side, they're going to give you fries. One time I got their mac and cheese which was honestly mediocre, But better than the french fries, and they still gave me fries with my order On top of the mac and cheese, which is extremely wasteful because I'm not going to eat the fries as well. I do understand why they give you fries with every order, because they probably pay $0.50 per pound being that the french fries are so poor there. If I could, I would give them an extra half star just for their amazing service. This saddens me to write this review, but I need to share my story. I started going to 5 star wings about 3-4 months ago and I have been a regular customer since. I am always greeted with a smile by the employees because I go out of my way to be nice and make them feel good. About 2 months ago I learned they had dressing and when I ordered it I instantly fell in love with it. I would continue to go consistently and ask for their dressing. I kept being told there wasn't any or the person that made it was very busy, Okay I can understand that. I would just continue to order something else because I believe in supporting black business. At this time I'm 8 months pregnant and I went about a week ago and I asked for the dressing and again I was told that they had known, okay cool. Well my cravings are strong and when I want something I will pay for it. Right then and there I pre-ordered and paid for a whole tray at $27 with tax. I watched the young lady put my info in and also received the same info on my receipt, which was my phone number, name and time date when it was going to be ready. I was extremely excited, prego excited about this dressing. I get up the morning it was due and I just had a feeling my dressing wasn't going to be ready. I gave them extra time and I came 2 hours later than The pick up time. When I got there I could tell from the mans face my order wasn't ready. I'm not sure if he is just and employee, manger or owner but his name is Troy and as I make eye contact with him he begins to wave me over and started to speak in a whisper. He told me and I quote: of I'm so sorry I been looking for your number this whole time your dressing isn't done, of the oven is broke and a... I stopped him and I said, how is it you looking for my number when you have it in the system and I showed my receipt? Then he says if He can get it done tonight or tomorrow morning. Okay but you just said your oven was broken? I was completely outraged but it wasn't necessary to cause scene a so I said sternly just give me a refund. I was so upset because now I felt lied to and you trying to play on my intelligence. I was a loyal customer who kept coming back and ordering other food even when what I wanted wasn't there. Don't take my money if you can't produce the product. I will no longer visit this establishment and it isn't because the food is bad its because for one, it's disorganized. If you say you can't find my number that's means somewhere along the line things aren't being logged probably which means you not running a business properly. For two, in business your word matters. Don't take my money and don't give me the product I paid for on time. I want accept that from no business. Lastly, own your mistakes.
