I have an all too common story of the lady who got taken to the cleaners by a big bad handyman...oh yes, that's me. But 5-Star Air honestly came in and turned my disaster story to one with a happy ending. Dave and Brian were so professional and did beautiful work (if you think plumbing is beautiful-and I do now). Brian was amazingly responsive and walked me through each step of what had to be done and how they were going to do it. So nothing is leaking anymore and I just called to have them do some more work for me. But I think what's important is that they gave me an estimate in writing and stuck to it. When Brian came to work he did not mess around. He went right to work. He showed me each repair, there were many leaks, and showed me that each pipe and faucet worked before he left. So I'm delighted, but more importantly, impressed and my home is safe! I'm back again several months later and again needed help right away!! My toilet was leaking making noises and costing me a fortune in water bills!!! I contacted Dave and he didn't hesitate! They came over the very next morning and replaced my toilet that very day. We had a water line with our second floor bathroom leaking in our kitchen ceiling and other contractors were giving us the run around due to the piping being positioned in several inches of concrete under the tiled bathroom floor. It was an older house and not a quick fix. Their technician Dan did a great job evaluating the problem and recommending several options. He also pointed out several key aspects that other plumbing contractors missed, like the pipes being brass which added an extra level of complications in fixing the problem. Once he started repairing the line, he discovered several other leaks in the hot water line, along with the existing leak in the cold water line, and we decided to have both the hot and cold water lines replaced so that we would not have another issue down the road. 5-Star provided great value for their work and we were happy to have this PITA leak behind us. read more

I contacted 5-Star Air because I wanted an estimate on a new air-conditioning unit because my unit AC unit stopped working and the outside temperature was in the upper 90s. I got two estimates from two other companies and they were both extremely expensive for the cheaply made HVAC units they were providing. 5-Star arrived at my home within 30 minutes and they explained my cooling issue and gave me a good price on a excellent HVAC system. Any questions about the installation were property answered and within the a few days the HVAC system was installed and up and running. We hired 5-Star Air for a major plumbing job -- replacing all the copper water lines in our home with PEX. Dan and Matt did an excellent job with the replacement. They were courteous, professional, explained everything they were doing and cleaned thoroughly when they were done. The job took more than one day, so they were careful to hook everything back up each evening so we weren't without water overnight. I believe 5-Star's pricing was fair, they came in slightly lower than another contractor for the job. Very satisfied with the service overall and will definitely use them for any future work we need (but no more leaky pipes!). Will happily recommend them to friends and family as well. read more

These guys were fantastic. From being flexible on scheduling to communicating to the install - friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable. I would absolutely use them again. Side note - the manufacturer that I ordered the part from forgot to include a piece of equipment. If I would've waited for them to ship it, it would've delayed the correct operation after the install. The guys from 5 star actually went out and purchased the part, didnt charge me extra, and came back to finish the job. Other places would have absolutely charged for the part and install hours. We called 5-Star Air because the temperature outside was 90° my mother actually lives with us who is 87 years old and has COPD and cannot breathe we spoke to the owner and he assured us that they would be out as soon as possible within an hour or less because it was a medical emergency. brian came out and had our air conditioner up and running within 30 minutes. we cannot be more appreciative that 5-Star Air did such a great job and really cared about my mothers health. This is for Dan (or Dave, I get bad with names) who came out on 5/14/2021 out to me in Industry. I found out about these guys from my HOA who sent them out for a problem I ended up not being covered for. While the HOA can't be trusted, these guys really came through and went above and beyond to give me the details on what hardware to grab for my downstairs sink. The sink is deep, so the job was beyond me. My home warranty company sent them out. They called me to set an appointment within minutes of my filing a claim. They came out and looked at the garbage disposal and said the had to order a special one as it is very large and not commonly in stock. They called me when it came in and set up an appointment to install it. Dan, the plumber was very nice and did the installation very quickly. Our A/C unit was not keeping the house cool. Had unit first looked at by initial serviceman I think his name was Mario. Was very disappointed in his attitude and resolution to the problem. I contacted 5-Star and requested a different service man. They sent out Amad and Matt. They investigated the problem and worked very hard and professionally to try to resolve the issue. Loved that Dan came wearing a mask exactly 30 minutes after he called (he told me it would take 30 minutes for him to get there) he found that my fireplace did not have a leak it just had the pilot light out and needed to be relit... This team was fantastic! We needed our main shutoff valve replaced due to a slow drip that wouldn't stop.
