Since I was going to be spending a week there I decided to make a trip to her store so I could see these beautiful African prints for myself. I went in looking for possibly a jumper or a pant or a maxi skirt. The prints I really wanted weren't available so I perused what was. The owner greeted me and gave me a tour of where everything was. She was doing some work in the back and that was fine because I prefer to figure out what I want. She did suggest a one shoulder type dress that I didn't consider at first because I don't like my arms out (I'm working that part of my body image). I tried on a number and a pair of pants. I was sold on both but the pants were calling me more. When I decided to see how kind the mirror would be, I decided the pants were coming home with me but though I'd grab that dress to try on because, hey, it couldn't hurt right? I. Am. So. Glad. I. Did. That dress looked amazing on me. It was so very flattering that I didn't mind my one arm being exposed. I felt flirty and feminine (I'm more of a tomboy). The African print was beautiful and the colors so flattering. I decided on the dress instead. of course, when I got home I regretted leaving those pants. I will definitely be back to get those pants and I'll definitely be back to see what else comes in.

It only cost $45, which I thought was fabulous due to the quality. I love it! I think sizes may run a tad small here, at least with this particular piece of clothing. Just ask if you can try on whatever you're eying. When I visited there was only one employee on the clock, and she was very sweet and helpful when I had questions. The style of clothes here seem to be vintage, but definitely laid-back. Nothing's too fancy, and almost everything you see is made in earth-tones. Lots of browns, tans, and ivories. Flowy sort-of flower-child kinda pieces. Right up my alley! There are plenty of candles for sale that smell earthy and spicy and full. I do so love boutique candles... they may be super expensive when you're used to buying jumbo candles from Walmart for $3.50, but nothing beats a beautiful, fragrant, dainty boutique candle! There's a little bit of everything here. They have dollar bins. A lot of the merch is seasonal. Some things are fairly priced and some are over prized. It looks like it's aot of donated stuff that they are trying to sell. Some merchandise looks like it didn't sell so they shipped it here. The shopping carts are worn out with lots of debri on them. They did however, roll all the way out to the Parking Lot. The Cashier was very nice and understanding. Hispanic ladies cleaning up nicely. It gets busy on the weekends with lots of families. Also, bring cash because, there some kind a charge if you use your debit/credit card. I would definitely recommend this place. I already told my neighbor and she's going to check it out soon. Compared to other sneaker stores I've patroned the prices are what you would expect for resale. Where LC stands out is the customer service. As a female, it's important to me that I feel safe and unpressured when I'm shopping - and that I'm not manslpained to or tried to take advantage of because of it. Sneaker stores are usually run to accommodate a specific demographic, so I don't always feel welcomed as an older female. That is not the case here as I'm always greeted by a friendly face and left to peruse without pressure to purchase. The salesmen here will talk to you, get a sense of what you like, what you wear to work, where you spend your free time, and start building outfits that suit your personal style, and maybe even open you up to styles you haven't considered. Your picks can then be fitted and altered to fit you perfectly, as only custom pieces can. Understandably, pricing can be an issue for some. However, well made clothing that is altered to fit you has far more value and will last longer than "off the rack". A wardrobe is an investment, so do expect to spend between $200-$300 for an outfit. There is a small selection of items, like a true boutique. You'll find about 3 racks of long and short-sleeved t-shirts, mostly sports and band-related. They also sell a handful of baseball hats and stickers with their 817 Hype branding (not vintage, but really cute)! And then they do sell some vintage hats and shoes, as well. I'm sure if you're into vintage stuff you'll find a treasure or two!
