We had put money down on a mattress and went to pick it up a few days later to find out a new employee had ripped off the owner by selling things under priced, including things already paid for, like our mattress. I cannot recommend this storage company, at least at this location. In fairness, management and…read morecustomer service were better at the earlier part of my stay when Lisa was there. After this, it went downhill, with unconcerned and unresponsive management. Often, there was no one in the office when I needed someone and it has taken days for them to respond to phone messages and emails. This company's reputation for steep rate increases is totally justified. The base rate for my small, climate controlled unit was $89 in October 2021. As of January of 2026, the charge had increased to $160. Ouch! This last increase was enough to give me an incentive to find room for these items in my home and to let go of the storage unit. Enough is enough! Last but not least, someone broke into my unit in the summer of 2024. I was told by management that they had an idea who might have been responsible for this but they never followed up with the police and consequently no items were recovered. I had to file a complaint with the NM Insurance Commission to get reimbursed from CubeSmart's recommended insurance company for the items I could prove. I hope I will never need a storage unit again but in the unlikely event that I do, CubeSmart will not be high on my list.

When I bought my first apartment, they had a deal for $999 (not sure they still do it) and I was able to get my bedroom set including dresser, night stands and mirror, plus a couch and chair for the living room with a lamp and coffee table, and my hardwood kitchen table with four chairs! Now, these were pre-owned, rented pieces but the quality was fantastic! Everything was super comfy and I was actually sad when I sold them because it was time to upgrade! I've since gone back multiple times to shop for decorations and additional furniture. Even their rented pieces look like they are in brand new condition and the discounts are fantastic! It's been my favorite furniture secret forever!

I ordered my new appliances in Dec, 2025, based on the suggestion of my kitchen contractor. The…read moreovens I ordered (oven/microwave combo) had a diagram of the suggested cabinet for the ovens. The salesman sent all the specs to the kitchen contractor. He never advised me that the wall oven may not be at eye-level when installed. I didn't think about it, and the kitchen contractor never advised me. The cooktop and refrigerator were installed when the kitchen was partly finished. I called the salesman to ask about the ice maker; the instructions weren't correct. He said he would come by after the ovens were installed to go over all the appliances. I then went to the showroom and discussed the oven cabinet with him. He told me that the cabinet needed some braces for the shelf, but that wasn't specified in the diagram, nor did the contractor tell me that. I had to have a custom cabinet built to get the ovens in a position they should be in, Then the ovens were installed the end of July. The salesman said he would contact me afterwards, but I still haven't heard from him. So my advice to future customers is to make sure your kitchen contractor tells you exactly where the ovens will be positioned before you buy them. The products are high-end and very expensive, and there should be post-installation service from Builders Source to make sure customers are pleased and know how to use the products.
