I got the nails done on a Wednesday leading up to Easter, and they didn't make it past the 3rd day. Several nails had peeled and chipped. 3 days... that's it. I wouldn't recommend this place. I saw the reviews online and showed up at 9:40 on a Monday morning for a walk in appointment. I assumed it would be empty and I should be able to get in without an appointment. I was right about that but messed up the time as they don't open till 10 AM. However they were just opening the salon around when I reached and graciously took me in even before opening time. They were gentle with my nails which were previously damaged from another bad job at another place. Did a fabulous french manicure. My friend and I called here to get our nails done. They scheduled us for 30 minutes after we called. When we got there at our appointment time, we actually got worked on right away. We didn't sit there for another 30 minutes being told they will be right with us. It was awesome because our experience is that even if you make an appointment your still going to be waiting a while. The staff were all super friendly. The guy working on my friends nails was a hoot. Down to earth friendly and kind. We do the dip method. They have a ton of colors to choose from. It's clean inside. And another thing I appreciated was that they accept credit cards. A lot of nail salons don't except them and only take cash. I very rarely have cash on me. I took 1 star away because my fiends nails started chipping 2 days after they were done. Normally when we do the dip it lasts for 3 weeks at least. Not sure what went wrong this time. I cannot compliment this salon highly enough. From the beginning of my appointment they were SO friendly and professional. The manager (I wish I caught his name but he was amazing) removed the previous set of acrylics i had on because a salon did them horribly. He did a full set for me and explained to me what good acrylics should look like. He also suggested the color powder for the more natural look that i like to go for. The shape and color of my nails are flawless and I wish they could look like this every time I get them done (unfortunately I live in CA). I came here around 1pm on a Wednesday afternoon. They only had one other customer so I was pleased that I was able to get in right away. I did get a pedicure, which is what I came it for but a few things can be improved here....aside from the super crappy leg "massage" that my 2 year old could do better 1- the person who did my pedicure did not speak to me one time except to tell me how much it cost 2-she drop the tools on the floor multiple time and picked them back up and continued to use them...gross 3-she cut me 4-she sanded away the shellac instead of soaking it, leaving my nails feeling thin and brittle 5-I watched the woman next to me "clean" up after the last person which consisted of simply rinsing the foot soaking tub (not using any kind of cleaning solution), and then putting the tools back in a drawer (nog cleaning them)....gross read more

I am happy as a bee... I had my nails done recently in San Francisco at a very hip salon. They did the dip acrylics and insisted it was the "new thing." Well, it came out lumpy, I got the clear shellac all over my cuticles and it start lifting at the edges after just 1 day. And after a week, all of my nails were lifted around the edges and a couple of my nails were barely hanging on. And for $60 + a tip, it was incredibly disappointing. I came back here to get my nails re-done before my NY trip and got Ashley again and she saved my nails... She was popping off the old nails with ease and was like "Wow, these came off really easily" and I was like "I know, it's terrible!" I wish I had a before-and-after photo. The nails Ashley did for me are immaculate, and I only paid $40. The edges are so neat and perfect, I can't stop admiring them... Just by looking at my nails, I can tell that they'll hold up for a long time. Last time I did ombre nails, they nearly lasted a month. I'm horrified at the lack of talent at this place. I went for a manicure-pedicure about two months ago, and it was average. There were only two technicians there, and it was late on a Sunday. Today, there were about six technicians, and the place was packed. It was snowing outside, and I think everyone was freaking out--trying to act calm, but thinking about all those great Seattle drivers who lose their minds and abandon their cars in the middle of the road at the sight of a single snowflake. I'd like to think this was the problem today, but there's just no excuse for the CRAP job...I came home and immediately removed the polish, after grumbling at myself about how ugly my nails looked during the entire car ride home. Where do I begin? I had medium white tips, and they'd grown a bit too long for my taste. I hate seeing the gap between the acrylic and the bare nail below...so I'm obsessive about getting fills. Once I notice I need one, I cannot be stopped. I called for an appointment, and they accommodated. Good! The other places were booked for the next two to three hours. This was the first warning sign. I blocked it. I explained to the young technician--I wanted them shortened and to look as thin and natural as possible. That's tough to do with white tips, but my new set had grown out enough that the white stripe was finally starting to look not-too-wide anymore. Basically, just shorten them with the same shape, and sculpt them so they look thin at the tips. The tech suggested airbrush to create a deeper curve in the smile line. I like that look, but you also have to be REALLY good with an airbrush to do it well. I didn't think that she'd suggest something she couldn't handle. She prepped my nails with the drill and while she wasn't rough, the drill bit slipped onto my cuticles several times. Second bad sign. She applied the acrylic in a very, very thin layer. I thought she was doing a primer coat of some kind, but then she moved immediately to shortening and buffing. Seriously--you can see the line between the old acrylic and the nearly invisible thin layer of the new acrylic she applied today. I've never seen that before--and it is UGLY. Defeats the entire purpose of the fill process. She spent very little time sculpting the nail, so they look a little thick. My biggest gripe? They're all different lengths. If they were long, I'd have some room to fix them myself. No...they are so short now, barely past my fingertips. I had no choice but to even the tips (shape) out--I couldn't fix the length without looking like a nail-biter. I was anxious to get home, so I looked at them before washing, and they looked OK. I asked her to straighten out a couple of the CROOKED tips, and she did...she was pleasant about it, which is great, but she was totally oblivious. Any normal tech would have rechecked every nail. Airbrush time. She made some of the worst, shaky, uneven smile lines I've ever seen. I'm pretty sure that I could have used the airbrush better, with my left hand. My right hand looked OK, only a few errors, but my left hand looked ridiculous. I didn't know there were so many ways to botch a smile line. I asked her to fix some of them, but...the person who made the mistakes can't necessarily correct them. Polish. She used two coats of clear, using the very last bit of an essie polish jar. Yep, you guessed it, the gooey, sticky thick gunk at the bottom, that I never use. You thin it out or toss it. Not here! She applied two obscenely thick coats (with bubbles!) and sent me on my way. $22 + 5 = $27 for the worst fill EVER. I couldn't believe it. I could have purchased the materials and done it better myself. No joke. I'll never go back. Good thing I can do my own nails well--I removed the heinous airbrush, bubbly polish, and just applied a light pink--which looks great. Short, but they're properly shaped and painted now--why was that so hard??? read more

When taking off my gel nails they allowed the acetone to run down my hands. That combined with their super hot UV drying lights gave me second degree burns on my hands. So painful. I complained to the owner and they said my skin must be sensitive and did not offer my my money back. read more

I'm about to get a little dramatic here! The level of ecstasy that I reached when leaving this place is indescribable - and to think that a nail salon this good is just blocks away from me. I wish I had stopped here sooner! The salon is small, and infused with the typical nail salon artwork that you'd find at other salons... Ladies' hands with the long 80's style nails, bamboo, yada yada. But what sets this place apart from the rest: Staff. Cheerful, non-forceful, and they wear nice white "lab coats" Cleanliness: The tables, the pedicure chairs, the supplies - everything appears like new and very well maintained Quality: My full set (French tip) turned out gorgeous - and really is the best set I've ever had done. I've even gotten compliments on it, which has *never* happened! The pedicure on the other hand, was a little quick and the girl that did it forgot the top coat. I wasn't in the mood to discuss though. I'll give it another try and see if it's better the next time. The price is reasonable - you do get what you pay for here. I paid $57 for both a pedicure and a full set - I won't complain about that because the full set compensated for it! I plan to return and hopefully be a long-term customer! read more

My girlfriends (and even our mothers) and I have been visiting 4-Ever Nails in Woodinville, which is directly next to Regis and Target, for years! I absolutely love the staff. Ben and Tiffany have been working there forever. Their daughter Ellie is absolutely precious. I've developed such a good relationship with the staff that I was invited to one of the technician's weddings. Relationships aside, I have been coming to 4-Ever Nails for years now. I have never had any sort of infection or fungus...they're very serious about keeping things sanitary. My mother is a dental hygienist and she's very anal about sterilization, and she visits 4-Ever nails at least on a monthly basis. I am in there every 10-14 days. Either for a fill, a pedicure, or just to accompany a girlfriend while she has something done. As long as you visit the same technician each time for a fill, your fill will turn out flawless. I do not agree with the review written by cat b. about 4-Ever Nails. I am very picky about my nails, and never have any problems. :) read more
