I looked at it and did not see a price on the item. I decided to leave and then I met Simon on the way out. He asked if anything interested me. I asked him if he could let me know the price of the amethyst. He opened the cabinet and let me look at the piece. He said for you ... it's $$$. He was funny and full of character. The price was okay. The service was great. A short conversation later, I decided to pick it up. The store has a treasure trove type vibe. Full of antiques and interesting items for sale. Most items do not have prices on them so buyer beware. You need to have some knowledge of what you will pay for items before you enter. I believe I purchased my item at a fair price. 50% off after Christmas sale Purchased a heart shaped Brazilian amethyst at a good price! Nice personal service and experience here.

He told us the jewelry was all hand-made (which seemed true since the metals were not bent perfectly) and I decided to purchase a ring for my mom with a aquamarine type crystal. I thought the price was reasonable $95, and the service was pleasant and not pushy (which often drives me out of numerous jewelry spots.)

I own two Daniel Merriam original…read morewatercolors, including "Euphoria," which is featured on page 65 of his first book, "The Impetus of Dreams." I also have one called, "Chili Peppers" that I love. More importantly is how I came to own these. Shortly after I was married in late 2001 to a beautiful artist, we were in bed looking at different art magazines and I came across one with a painting by Daniel. I was enthralled. Over a few weeks my wife and I decided we would go to San Francisco and up to Portland and Seattle. I wondered what would happen if I reached out to Daniel. He responded and was more than gracious to us. When we got into SF, he invited us to his home and we were able to see large projects in the making and multiple paintings he had that were ready for sale. One was Euphoria. It had been painted years before but he believed it was harder to sell due to prurient views some had of mild nudity. What truly stood out though was Daniel as a human being. Art was truly his passion and people were his other passion. We were treated as if we were old friends. I have purchased other art from other artists, and I have commissioned art. These two will be in my heart forever. Daniel, thank you for a moment in time! It is still cherished decades later.

Wow, what a unique and magical gallery!…read more Bubble Street Gallery - and the art within - is so whimsical and magical. Usually I can cruise through galleries as it's not all my style, but even with this being one artist and style, I had to look closely at each one. We didn't walk out with any purchases as most was out of our price range, but we really enjoyed looking through - and it put the artist on my radar. I enjoyed that they had puzzles and other less expensive options as well. Highly recommend taking a look through if you're in Sausalito!

I spent my first wedding anniversary here with my husband. This week we are celebrating our 13th anniversary here in Sausalito. It is the perfect seaside small town. They have many wonderful restaurants and shops. There is a Ferry you can take into the city. You can ride a bike from the Golden Gate Bridge into Sausalito. No matter what you do here, you always have the perfect view of the ocean. There a few lovely hotels and everything is within walking distance. You can take a nice stroll right by the water and breathe in the fresh ocean air. It's a great place to escape the day to day grind of the city. It's so relaxing and laid back here. The weather is always beautiful and the views are picturesque.

This is a very cute city that is just on the other side of the Golden Gate bridge. The views along the shore are stunning and you can tell real estate is expensive. Is this where the elite live? If you really made the flight from half way around the world to see San Francisco - this is part of it. The famous bridge you have to drive over and while your there make the Marin Headlands loop by car and stop for lunch in Sausalito. I'm not sure why but ladies go crazy for this place. A friend of mine screamed in delight with anticipation of going here later that day. It must be in tourist brochures floating around somewhere. I'm not sure - I never saw them. Delighted the ladies will be. Over priced lunches in a cute little city. Very charming - and one can only daydream of living here. I've spent lots of time wondering why nobody likes living in San Francisco - people prefer to live here or even across the bay - I think it all had to do with the 1906 earthquake... San Francisco is where people work. People don't really want to live there... If you take a look here maybe it will be easier to understand. My uncle lived in Twin Peaks area - and even that - a $2M house is undesirable - fog, no stores or neighborhood vibe and a horrid, horrid commute to financial district. It is a great idea to come here. So many tourists fly into the city only to leave shortly after to see wine country or other far off places. Maybe a long the way check out Muir Woods to the north - but check for parking availability and if you can reserve it. Great little city with views - part of your SF tour.

From the get go, our experience was great. We made a reservation for 12:30 but got there early by 12 since our family photo shoot nearby had ended earlier than we thought. We were a larger group, with grandma, grandpa, nephew, kiddo, etc. but they seated us immediately even though we were early. Kristy did a lovely job explaining some items on the menu for us especially when my brother-in-law had questions about what to order. She also kindly corrected us when we ordered spaghetti and pizza for the kids; we almost ordered the full adult portions of those items until she clarified if we wanted the kids' spaghetti and kids' pizza which are actually way better proportioned for kiddos. I ordered a risotto, my husband ordered a rigatoni, my mom ordered a salmon, my brother-in-law a gnudi, can't remember what my sister ordered (lol sorry) and my dad got a pizza. The food was wonderful and well made and delicious! Kristy did apologize that three of our orders didn't come out in time due to a computer error but we were quite patient about it so she comped us free dessert!! We left Poggio's SO FULL and happy!
