The worker (who I suspect was the owner?) was kind enough to box them up for me so they wouldn't get damaged on the flight home. The store is clean and well-organized without sacrificing the treasure hunting charm I look for in a record store. It would've been a great experience even if I hadn't found anything. My husband and I have been comic collectors for years, so we are always on the hunt for when new shops open or shows are in town with comics. I randomly searched one day and saw a new result pop up - Mothership Comics. After a quick chat to a fellow collector about them (singing their praises), we were off to check it out. When we walked in the door, we knew we were among friends, and my husband went off talking forever to the owner, Adam, about anything and everything they had in common in their collecting. The interior is so nostalgic. It reminds me of the old comic shops we used to go to. Like Dragon's Lair when the they used to be on 80th and Blondo by Treasure Mart (I am dating myself, here). I loved that Motherships has the classic comic store vibe inside. Like, I literally felt like a little kid again! They had boxes of comics galore, but also some really cool graded classic ones behind the counter. They had comics, obviously, but also collectibles, Pokemon things, compendiums, posters, mangas, and even a whole room of music items too - like vinyls, CDs, shirts, and concert posters. Both of mine and my husband's favorite things - comics and music! And the prices are very fair. We even did a trade in for a graded comic we wanted that was on the wall. If you're looking for a certain issue or have some to trade in, this is the place for it, definitely. We were so excited to see a new comic shop open up, and after visiting Mothership and their awesome proprietor, we will be return customers for sure!

The shop is mainly for comics and some trading cards but there's a room in the back that has a good amount of records. When we walked in we saw the employee buying stuff from one of the customers so it appears they do buy. As you walk into the shop, you see a lot of comics and some really cool ones in the case next to the counter. We walked in and went straight to the back room with the records and were pleasantly surprised at the amount and diverse selection. After digging through the alphabetized record stands, I found a couple gems and bought them. The prices were pretty good. The owner/person working there was really nice, as well. I liked this place and would be happy to go back and do some more digging!

One worker at the cash register (I didn't catch her name and I'm so sad about it) had noticed one of the glasses I had picked up was chipped and said she wouldn't sell it in that condition.
