    Enchiladas Suizas, Chicken Taco Salad

Quick service, good food. Their daily specials are such a good deal. Their enchiladas especially are great in my opinion. Also love their horchata!

It's a storefront with a small unpaved parking lot in front. There are two dining areas--one is utilitarian with a takeout counter in the back and the other has a smidge more atmosphere. But authenticity compensates for any lack of frills. I love no-nonsense family-owned ethnic restaurants like this. The varied menu extends both north and south of the Border. I had the Big Chicken Quesadilla and my Missus had a Chimichanga. Everything was freshly prepared and served piping hot, and the value is tremendous. We enjoyed friendly, attentive service. No alcohol, but you can BYOB. We will definitely return.

Incredible tacos, burritos, and salsas. Delicious food at a good price. Great family owned business and fast service! Incredible artwork inside as well! In here all the

First off, I would like to know the story behind the name of the restaurant relating to the photo of the woman toiling away cleaning the floor on their signage. According to their website it's a family establishment. If there are four brothers behind this restaurant, who is that lady working hard to make tortillas! Is it Mama!? The place. Pleasant, colorful and inviting. If you work in the area, this would be a comfy place to grab a "cheap" bite. The "weekday warriors" or 9-5ers tend to favor quantity over quality type places and this is another example of just that. For me, the location is hit or miss and most recently missed its mark. I wonder if there are (really) four brothers and whether they all work the kitchen at either location. I also wonder whether it's true per their website that they make food fresh? Unlike photos on their website indicating flat tops and a fryer at their main location (?), this one has got dual microwaves that often get a ton of action more than the single flat top that hardly sees any. It's really unfortunate to wait some amount of time only to realize that a majority of the cooking was done in the microwave. Pssshaw! Food can be okay, I guess it depends on who is working the kitchen that day. On my most recent trip the food sucked. The cook was spending gross amounts of time chatting up the counter person or rather, she was starry eyed around him while he was lazily getting to preparing my order. A pollo burrito suizo looked and tasted like a Denver omelette. It's got me wondering whether the cook got his start at IHOP. Assorted and diced peppers, onions and tomato topped and filled my burrito which was also stuffed with chicken chorizo maybe? I don't understand why since I ordered a regular burrito, not a breakfast burrito and expected pulled chicken rather than chicken sausage... It was edible, though not appetizing. Beyond this, I've had their chilaquiles a couple times and its tastes are different every time. Something I came to realize though is that, food in general is just not awesome. I wouldn't call it cheap either, like some other reviewers might call it. This is the outskirts of Chicago where I assume rent wouldn't be as expensive as say on Lawrence ave, but in comparison it's almost 20% more than its competition elsewhere in Chicago. For instance, a tamale at most taquerias might cost a dollar or a dollar and some change, here it's $2.99 for one piece and it's pretty dry and crappy. Although I'm giving it a 2 star rating, it isn't disgusting. If you don't mind microwaved foods, cheap quality and a general lack of care for food, it could be a 3 star experience. Easy. Next time, it'll be time to try TBK instead!

My mother and I like to come here whenever we have a quick craving for some Mexican food. Their tacos are pretty cheap, and every day they have a daily special(cost 5.95) to get a great deal on something that would otherwise be a little bit more pricey. I got the big chicken quesadilla with a side of beans and rice. The quesadilla had more filling than what you normally expect making it more rich and filling. Rice and beans were well season. I must also say their horchata is top tier. It is refreshing and not overly sweet. The texture is surprising smooth for the color, there is no graininess. And at the end of the meal I almost forgot to finish it because there is so much of it when you order a large size.

My fave hole-in-the-wall Mexican place for finger foods like nachos, tacos, burritos, and tortas. They serve breakfast and dinner meals too, but we go to another place for that. Been coming here consistently (1-2x a month) after getting "abused" by Los Comales's increased prices and poor service. They have $5.95 daily specials, including on the weekends. See my pic. M (burrito dinner), Tu (3 taco dinner), and W (torta dinner) are the best days. Their taco meats aren't greasy, and the double tortillas don't stick together, making it easy to separate them into two tacos (pro tip)! Their super nachos are my fave nachos in the world! Each chip is individually loaded with refried beans, cheese, diced meat (your choice), sour cream, tomatoes, and guacamole. Get them with chicken or steak - both are great! The only problem is their parking lot is too close to the street, so it makes it difficult to back out into the constant flow of traffic on Touhy. FYI - they're located across the street from Target & Costco. Don't come here. I want there to be more for me!

This is one of my top local Mexican spots. I used to make the trip out to the Los Camales, but this place has better service, and a more comfortable atmosphere. They have recently remodeled so it's very clean and spacious. The only downside is the small parking lot out in front. My top dishes there are the Super Nachos, Al Pastor Torta, and the Steak Burrito. All the tacos are pretty solid too. Their menu also includes american food, such as breakfast and burgers. I'll usually order my torta with a side of fries which is nice. This is my top place for a quick Mexican meal.

Decent cheap Mexican eats here. I had a lengua burrito dinner here for $7.99 and it was decent tasting, good sized, and filling. Wife had a tamale and steak taco and they were ok. The dining space is plain and small. Parking is also awkward right out front and you have to back up onto busy Touhy to get out. Nonetheless, good for an economical Mexican meal.

Starting with margaritas (because obviously ‍), queso and chips that were dangerously good, and the chicken empanadas that came out perfectly crispy with so much flavor. We kept looking at each other after every bite like "okay wait... THIS is the best thing here" and then another plate would arrive and prove us wrong again The carnitas fried rice??? I genuinely cannot stop thinking about it. So savory, flavorful, comforting, and packed with crispy carnitas on top with the eggs and pickled onions... literally unreal. And then the skirt steak tacos absolutely stole the show. The steak was cooked perfectly, packed with flavor, and paired so perfectly with all the toppings and sauces. Every single bite tasted fresh and homemade in the best way possible. And can we talk about the ambience for a second because WOW. The music, the energy, the vibe inside, everyone celebrating, the drinks flowing -- it felt like the perfect Cinco de Mayo dinner spot. My daughter prefers pork over the chicken. - Carnitas Huarache -- good flavors but probably my least favorite of the meal. - Asada Torta -- this was my favorite dish of the night. I arrived at the restaurant on time (4:30) and checked in with the hostess, who said I could only be seated when the entire group of three arrived. This seemed weird given the restaurant was pretty empty at this time, and ordinarily I'd order a drink while waiting at the table. Regardless, I went to Starbucks instead because I knew the other two were a few minutes behind. When I got back to the restaurant, my friend said the hostess told him we absolutely had to leave within 1.5 hours because we were late... which seemed odd because he may have checked in 15 minutes after our reservation, to an empty restaurant, that already refused to seat me on time. Regardless, the food was delicious. I had the Pollo in ChiChilo-- the mole was delicious, and I loved the chicken and sweet potato. I ordered the mole on the side, which seemed like a nice balance. Since the hostess wouldn't previously seat me, I had a lovely iced matcha latte with oat milk and half a pump of vanilla from Starbucks, which was a nice pairing. The waiter did ask if I wanted a shot of something with it, which seemed odd. Ambiance was cute, probably due for a renovation but seemed appropriate for most dining out occasions- dates, families, a day out in town. Note: the restaurant charges an automatic 20% gratuity which may explain the service. Keep this in mind to avoid tipping more than you intend.
