The name 'Old Chair Photography Lab' really does not wholly give this place the full description it deserves. Now, they do have a photography studio and a lab, plus they also do printing of all sorts, stickers, mugs, shirts and more are all designed and printed in store. We also noticed some beautiful photography which was printed and framed in the highest quality. Rick and Amy proudly feature some artwork from other local artisans as well, such as Kerry Vale's photography. They have some truly delicious locally made Beef Jerky, Jams and Jellies, Soaps, Syrups and the most incredible hand-crocheted Afghans! The store is very tidy and artfully merchandised. I found many delightful and well-priced gifts for the holiday parties we will be attending. Rick makes the sweetest handmade and locally sourced Christmas ornaments, full of charm and intrigue. I absolutely fell in love with a wool/alpaca blend wrap! So unique and amazingly soft......I hope Santa got my letter! If you find yourself a bit short on local shopping destinations for the holidays or anytime, enjoy a leisurely trip around the lake to Fawnskin and stop in for a wonderful surprise there at Old Chair Photography Lab. Very weird and uncomfortable method to give your customers that were being respectful and courteous. Unfortunately we definitely won't be back. After awhile, I started walking towards the exit when this woman with red hair approached me and blocked me from leaving. She immediately accused me of shoplifting. She said things like "I swear I saw you steal a necklace or some piece of jewelry" and "you can pay for the jewelry you took at the front." She was very rude and unprofessional from the start of our interaction. I tried to explain I didn't steal but she called over another employee, which at this point I got a bit annoyed and rebuked by saying "what do you want to do, pat me down?" And I was ready to prove it too. This older employee said I could just leave. There are better ways to prevent possible shoplifting. But to instantly accuse, cause a scene and still be wrong is just plain ridiculous. Will not be coming back!
