4 Corners Diner has never disappointed. I have been a customer for more than 15 years. While on a Saturday or Sunday morning there can be a bit of a crowd and wait, it is always worth it. When I think diner I think home cooking, which this was not. Mum sister and brother-in-law had omelets, which were thin, undercooked, and clearly made with egg beaters. My scrambled eggs had no flavor but when it's not real egg what do you expect? My mother's French toast was made on thin bread and appeared not to have been coated before cooked. The service was alright but my drink stood empty many times. The only thing I can't complain about was my sausage gravy biscuit. I know food is more expensive near the beach but when your eggs aren't even real it's definitely excessive. read more

We stopped or breakfast. The parking lot was packed so we thought we'd give it a try. Ordered corned beef hash, eggs and homefries after asking the waitress what she recommended. "The corned beef hash is out of a can, but they cook it on the grill." LOL... OK... still game (The place was packed and we thought "all these people can't be wrong"). The eggs ordered over medium were not done at all, the whites were still runny. The "homefries" are obviously frozen and tasted of freezer burn. The corned beef hash... was exactly what we expected from the waitresses description. The atmospher: has potential and charm based on the diner car counter just inside the front door; however we were ushered to the back of the resturant where the booths are so crowded together, the person behind me had their elbows hanging over into our booth. The service: these ladies were busy! The food came out quickly, but it appeared some more staffing was needed. Our bill was not totaled (that's done at the register)... I'm sure this practice cheats the hard working waitresses out of some tips. Overall: I do not recommend the 4 Corner Diner for breakfast. Based on the undercooked eggs and non-fresh food items; I have a feeling lunch and/or dinner would not be much better. read more

I am only going to comment on my dish. Avoid the Clam Chowder (Laughable) Canned chicken soup with 1 can of clams thrown in to five gallons. Takes 15 minutes to figure out if its clam chowder or cream of chicken from Cambells,. Shame on you. WORST CLAM CHOWDER EVER, BY FAR.... read more

The food was amazing and the staff were so friendly. We had waffles. French toast, and omelet and all of it was delicious.

None of their fish is caught local. I had the cod... It was pretty much frozen fish sticks. The first time they brought the food out the center of the fish was cold, so I sent it back, and they brought it back burnt. Maybe their other food is better, but I definitely don't recommend the fish. read more

Maybe we are just picky, but I've had better pancakes and French toast. We ate here Mother's Day weekend and had about a five minute wait at 9:30 in the morning, which wasn't bad at all, but I can't imagine what the wait would be like during the peak summer season. Staff was WONDERFUL! Food came out quickly and waitress was spot on with refills and checking on us. The only negative: the breakfast was mediocre and my husband's sausage link was not fully cooked (but waitress did not hesitate to take it off the bill)! read more

This place was adorable. Old beach-y diner. Went here after the Crystal Coast 5k. I got the special of 2 pancakes (added chocolate chips), 2 eggs scrambled (added cheese), and link sausage. The pancakes were really good and light and fluffy. The sausages were bigger than I was picturing and kind of flavorless but the pancakes made up for it. On the corner of Fort Macon Road and Atlantic Beach Causeway sits an unassuming diner aptly named 4 Corners. Part of my family crew met up here for Sunday breakfast/brunch before parting ways later that day. One of our crew had spent time in the area but had not eaten there - yet. My fiance and I split the veggie omelet and the French toast with 2 eggs, both amazingly and surprisingly good! The side order of biscuit was also super good. The diner was hopping, jumping lively on a Sunday morning - very popular spot. Customer service was pretty good as well. Can't speak to the prices of the dishes since I'm so used to Hawaii prices! Very great service. I have been coming here for the past three years when I visit Atlantic Beach. Sometimes we have to wait a bit for a table which is completely understandable especially at busy breakfast hours. Today we were seated instantly. The servers are always quick and very attentive. I can't believe this is my first check in here! It's a regular stop when we're in AB. It's in walking distance of the house we stay at. It's a diner, so just expect a diner kind of place. Noisy, bustling, a little crowded. But the staff is the best. Welcoming, friendly, great with kids. And they can usually give you the scoop on what's going on in the area. Liver and onions are exceptional. The tables are very clean which is unusual for a restaurant that serves a lot of pancakes and waffles with syrup. Service is prompt and friendly. Another review stated this restaurant is better than normal greasy spoons. That is a gross mischaracterization as this is a very clean DINER. It's a dive. So with that expectation I suppose it's fine. It's hard to screw up bacon and eggs. But I got a slightly runny omelette, undercooked bacon, and chopped up french fries masquerading as home fries. My son's pancakes were done right, but nothing available to spread on them but hydrogenated soybean oil spread and artificial "maple" syrup. Yum! It gives the appearance of a place everyone's dying to get into as it's in a perfect location, but I think the real draw is it's the only place to get breakfast without crossing back to the mainland. Four Corners is our place for breakfast while at the beach...we like the other selections also (hamburgers Yum!)...just breakfast is so fresh in my mind. I love their waffles. My family and I had breakfast at 4 Corners this morning before leaving to return home, and after some pretty dismal eating experiences in the Atlantic Beach area. It's not a fine dining establishment so if that's what you're looking for, don't bother. This is good, wholesome, down-home cooking. No pretense.Breakfast for the 4 of us was very reasonably priced with large helpings and delicious too. Their shrimp and grits special was literally the best thing I had all weekend. Extra creamy grits topped with sauteed shrimp, cheese, bacon, onions and peppers..It was a little slice of heaven and I hate grits. The star of the show however was Lisa, our waitress. She was THE coolest..just amazingly friendly and helpful, and she hustled like a boss. She and my husband bonded over their mutual love of the Steelers. They even have a Terrible Towel at the restaurant, so if you're not a Steelers fan, you've been warned. I urge you to ignore the TT and go for the food and service. read more
