Julie listens to my needs and has drastically helped me in my recovery from a car accident and subsequent surgery caused by such accident. She has helped me regain my shoulder flexibility and prevent scar tissue/fascia from tightening things up. I don't trust anyone else with my therapeutic massages! I couldn't recommend her enough!

I was extra pleased with all of the precautions that Julie takes. She meticulously cleans between appointments, and her office is absolutely spotless. She also requires clients to wear a mask (she wears one, too, during the entire appointment) and there's a small air purifier in the massage room to help with ventilation. Julie gave me the most amazing massage! She works slowly and finds every knot and sore spot. Her technique is strong and thorough, and I left feeling better than I've felt in months. I will definitely be back!

I started going to Remedy Massage because of a pinched nerve in my shoulder/arm area. After a few…read moresessions with Lyndsey Anderson I was feeling much better and had more mobility. Her therapeutic massage style was exactly what I needed - the deep tissue work released trigger points I didn't even know I had! The cupping therapy seemed a little odd at first, but has worked extremely well re-stimulating circulation in my neck and shoulders (which were SO tight). I don't know what I would do without my massages, they've not only relieved my pinched nerve, but also helped with having fewer migraines and less stress. Every time I walk into the Remedy Massage office I feel welcomed and best of all relaxed!

When I got our confirmation text, I saw my partner had a guy for hers. I called to ask why this was and they explained someone quit and they had to have him fill in. I understand the stress of that - but to not reach out to the clients about this change and to ask before they confirmed that? They said they could change the date so we could be with two women but we had already planned this night so I said it was okay. We came in for our couples massage yesterday and my partner and I both had bad experiences. My therapist barely felt like she was touching me - it was so light, it was ticklish. She didn't ask me once how the pressure was or anything either. She didn't do my arms and only part of my legs. I didn't like the hot towel because then I was just cold after. My partner's therapist didn't even do her legs! Completely said "Sorry, I ran out of time." This is a 60 minute massage and you don't have a basic structure? It's frustrating spending money on a service that isn't fully completed. When we told the front desk she was apologetic but just suggested coming back and they would let us do it again at a new client rate - which I don't think is satisfactory for the problem. I'm a student and splurged to have a good experience and was left with more pain than when I came in. Just an unfortunate waste of money.

I have had massages at the Umstead, and other sports massage locations in Raleigh (including some that were highly recommended) and Lal is still hands down the best. I always feel comfortable and listened to, and I always leave feeling like a new person! Even the music in his space is better than other places! As an athlete, I usually have a list of problem areas that I would like Lal to address, and he does so skillfully with his knowledge of all the muscles and common tight places in athletes. If you are an athlete, I would HIGHLY recommend treating yourself to the 90 minute massage which allows for a bit more time on all parts of the body. Also, Lal is skilled at applying a firm pressure, which is truly an art form when doing a sports or deep tissue massage. I have recommended Lal to many other athletes and they have had great experiences too! Lal used to have another masseuse in his practice (Cara) and she was wonderful as well. He does a great job of choosing masseuses so I have full confidence that if he does bring on another person at some point, that they will also be great.
