Low down is, there are lots of elevation shots, wooded areas but no tunnel shots, nice signage, clear paths, benches, and beautiful scenery. Not beginner friendly. Yes, can be cart friendly, but there are some places where you will be pulling up a steep incline. Now for the deets... You will need UDisc to navigate this course or play with a local. The signage at each tee is nice, but does not tell you which pin position the basket's in. Many of the baskets are not visible from the tee, so you end up guessing where to drive. It would be nice if the signage showed the pin position. On most baskets, there are directional arrows pointing you to the next tee. And on some of the signage, it also show what direction to take for the next tee. That said, on many tees, you could spend some time looking for them. Use UDisc. I played in a drizzle and hardly anyone was in the park, so I can't comment on safety or how busy the park is. However, the baskets are DGA Mach 5 baskets, so 24 strands of lighter heavy duty links. These baskets have no colored band and so are grey. In a grey, overcast Seattle drizzle. Good thing it isn't very overcast here many days. [sarc] Therefore, it is difficult to see the basket. Pink, red streamers hanging from the basket would help immensely. On a few baskets, putting a fiberglass pole with a red triangle flag would be helpful as you cannot see the basket at all from the tee due to elevation, or a hill in the way. This is not for beginners, at least if they do not want to become frustrated. It seemed like most of the throws are long due to the elevations. For example, #9 is "only" 251' but you are driving up a 40'-50' hill. Many throws are like that. There are a couple, like #10, I think, that throws you off because even though there was only slight wind, there are clearings in through some trees where you have a head wind, and of course, sends your disc upward. This happened twice. This is a very clean park. There was no trash of any kind that I saw. A very pleasant outing in a picturesque park setting. There is a playground with minimal playground equipment. There is also a neat bike/tricycle track for little kids at the park. Brick restrooms are open in the spring and summer, port-a-potties otherwise. Benches behind most of the tees. I would give 5 stars if they would improve visibility of the baskets and indicate pin positions. There is supposed to be a pro shop on site, but I have no clue where that is. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

They also answer questions and hold lost and recovered discs as well. They have a selection of discs but inventory has been down over the summer on Innova. They did just get in some new bags. The pin position changes like any other golf course but generally are in the same spot. This is my preferred course as it is less challenging than pro SeaTac

Dumpy looking little park with lots of history. N.A.D. Park once was a Naval Ammunition Depot…read more(hence the name), but has been given a new life thanks to gaining popularity of Frisby or Disc Golf. After the dumpy first impression and a little wandering past the static display of a decommissioned Naval war-fighterplane (The Shangri la), the Frisby Golf courses and trails are surprisingly well maintained with GREAT signage. There's was also a bevy of activity despite it demure and obscure park location. After conversing with a regular park-goer and Frisby Golf enthusiast, i learned of the regular competitions, events, and park preservation efforts. As it turn out, the NAD park is well-respected course that is used for amateur and Professional Frisby Golf competitions. The Full-size plane adds great visual interest to the picnic & playground area but definitely wasn't enough to redeem the dumpy overall feel of of immediate entry-way portion of the park. More effort is definitely needed to revitalize NAD Park but there's definitely great bones here, LOTS of potential! Until that happens, the best I could legitimately score NAD Park is in the 3's. I'm hoping to come back someday and see this diamond in the rough get polished. Overall score: 3.25 / 5.00

All thanks to three dads one fateful summer afternoon. + There's a couple restrooms here and water fountain, but the restrooms are about a 3min walk away. + Plenty of parking. + Various friendly people to meet and play pickup with. I met both beginners and high-level players. Got a lot of fun and hilarious matches in. + There's shaded spectator seating, a rare thing I've noticed about pickleball parks. + I like the office toward the back with various amenities. New course, but well laid out and a lot of fun…read more April 2018: I like the fact that it is largely flat and the trails are well maintained with wood chips to decrease mud. While there are a fair amount of trees and the fairways are narrow, they have also done a great job of removing underbrush so losing your disc is less of a problem for those of us working on our accuracy. My new favorite course in the area! :)

The course is fairly well labeled and the trails are pretty easy to navigate. I recommend sending someone in your group to be a spotter before your first throw though as it is easy to lose a disc here. This was my wife's first time as well and she loved being out on the trails. The entire course is roughly 1.6 miles and almost entirely par threes: I think there was one par four. Overall I would suggest this to anyone living in Poulsbo who is looking for something fun to do outdoors.

Summer time it is nice. Decent bathrooms to use. There is no baby changing table, so I had to get creative with that. This park has a zipline type of ride. You can stand on one part, or strap in like a harness swing on the other part. It is fun and sometimes even has a line! The littles really like it. Aside from that, there are plenty of swings, tall green slides that are each different and a carousel type of ride like Forest Park has. There are picnic areas as well as plenty of parking. Pro playground tip: if your kid is young like mine, you may need to assist them with climbing the ladder to the top so they can go down the slides. My two year learned to climb ladders at this park. It's located next to a bunch of sports fields so it was busy when we stopped by. There's a fun tire swing, a pole to slide down, an interactive music toy, slides, monkey bars and so much more. Cute things to climb in and on. I love the military theme. It's close to a base so it makes sense.

This is an amazing oasis. There's a barnyard area with rabbits, pigs, goats, sheep, chickens,…read moregoats, ducks, and more! There's no feeding the animals as they're on special diets, but some of the animals like the goats will come up to the fenced area for pats. I can see why they don't allow feed, as when I visited there was a private party with lots of kids-the animals would have probably gorged themselves if there was free reign of food. I liked how there was an outdoor row of sinks at the restroom facility since it encourages good hand hygiene after petting the animals. There's also a family restroom to make this place especially family friendly. I didn't have time to check out the trails, but they go through a wooded area and it looked cool.

Woodland Park is more than 90 acres and takes up a few blocks in the Green Lake and Phinney Ridge neighborhoods. A lot of outdoor activities to do here. There's baseball fields, a dog park, and trails. Cool history about how it came to be. It's been around for a long time and the neighborhood pretty much grew up around it. This was originally the estate of lumber mill owner Guy C. Phinney. After he died it was bought by the city. In 1902 it was turned into one of the city's parks. Basically the park has two halves. The eastern half has baseball fields, a dog park, horseshoe pits, lawn bowling, a picnic area, a pitch and putt golf course, a skate park, and trails. The western half has the Zoo. In 1925 a memorial was erected for late President Warren G. Harding. Just a couple years earlier he made a speech here to the Boy Scouts. It was one of the last speeches he made before he died. The memorial was later demolished, and the site is where the African Savanna exhibit is today. Of course there's many animals to check out here. The rest of the park also has many birds as well as beavers and coyotes among other species. Getting here by a bus is a good idea. It's got a few that go up Fremont Avenue and the other streets. The most popular thing here is the Zoo but there's plenty of other things to do here like playing baseball, jogging, and whatever.
