I purchased a CityPass for my first visit to Chicago this past weekend (Labor Day Weekend). Of the 5 sights it included, I'd say 360 Chicago was my least favorite but it was likely just bad timing. I booked a reservation in advance (as is required in CityPass) for 8 pm on Sunday night. Upon arrival around 7:45 pm, the line was out the door and wrapped around the interior of the building past the main building's bathrooms. I was really confused because I had FastPass entry, but there were zero obvious signs for FastPass. At 8 pm, we were still eons back in line, so my boyfriend held our spot and I set off to find someone who worked there. She reviewed my ticket and then told me to grab my boyfriend. We were then ushered to a smaller line toward the front -- where the big line broke off from the rest of the hallway. Upon arrival inside, it was posted that the Tilt experience was sold out for the night. I found that disappointing since the CityPass app said we could book on-site upon arrival. The crowds were astronomical that night though, so that is likely why. It was difficult to take photos as there was a pretty bad glare in all directions, but the views were nice. I especially liked viewing the beach/Lake Michigan/Navy Pier. The bar inside was expensive (I've reviewed it separately already). I did buy some merch from their shop. We left around 10 pm to beat what we assumed would be long lines for the elevator at closing time. All told, maybe go on a weekday during the day? I thought this would be a fun nighttime spot because of the bar but it was just okay to me. I enjoyed Skydeck at Willis Tower way more.

360 Chicago is where you go to experience the most impressive 360 panoramic views of the Chicago skyline and Michigan Lake. The views are definitely worth it for most visitors. The tickets are $55 at the 360 Chicago which includes a drink at the bar on floor 94 but you can find deals online ranging from $30 dollars and also depends on the day of the week so be sure to purchase your tickets in advance online. If you want to experience the Tilt ride then add another $14 to $18 or buy the bundle.

360 Chicago, known by others and in years prior also as the John Hancock Tower Experience. Short Version or 1 or 2 sentence summation: It's cool for that 1st time visit to Chicago, such as ours, but we probably wouldn't allow ourselves to be shaken down, oops I mean persuaded a 2nd time. Unless perhaps we were again in the accompaniment with other 1st timers. Longer Version Thoughts: The views from the 94th floor observation deck are nothing less than spectacular, particulary during sunset, which is unsurprisingly the most popular time to visit it seems. Geographic points of reference as to what you're seeing are smarty placed high above on the windows overhead. We were with others in our party that were doing this experience for more than the 1st time. And who agreed alongside us newbies in the end that it's undoubtedly equal parts or better a major tourist trap destination. But, so is Disneyland right? Adult admission as of this review runs $30 pp. With multiple price steps along the way for everything from the "Tilt" experience, sips packages, group photos, gift shop, snacks. All with the seemingly undisguised goal of marketing your wallet...to go with a side of more marketing please. An almost customary round of adult beverages at the top will set you back another $20-$30 a drink (even for a simple beer or house wine), without gratuity of course. Picking up a theme here already? The operators of this production know what they're doing. Or rather know what this mission ultimately is at the end of the day: Shaking as much paper out of you as possible during the visit. Upshot I suppose? You're supporting the local economy and ostensibly many service-level jobs. It is what it is as the saying goes, and not necessarily a bad thing. Good ol' American Capitalism at work folks. American as apple pie.

It was a good experience seeing the 360 building and 94th floor overlooking the entire city of Chicago. We paid $55 per adult which included lift and the tilt activity. Photos are prohibited. The staff can take photos for a fee. The tilt was ok. I expected more titling. They bar for drinks and cocktail. Souvenirs to take home . Over all I love the views.

Our experience here was great! We came here right after we went on the Tilt. There was no waiting. We saw that the entire room was a 360° view of Chicago filled with tourists taking selfies and view pictures. We immediately jumped into an available spot and started photographing from one side to the next. There is plenty of seating everywhere. The views are breathtaking because you are up on the 94th floor of the John Hancock Bldg. We went during the day and next trip we will go in the evening for the city night lights. There is also some souvenir shopping up here, the Cloud Bar, and restrooms. I'm not sure about the parking situation because we ubered everywhere in Chicago.

I bought tickets on Groupon, which I highly recommend, you definitely save a few dollars. I bought the basic Observation Deck tickets. I wanted to do Tilt 360 but my husband didn't so I didn't want to waste money and thought I would just add it on once I get to the location... WRONG! Sold out (unless I wanted to wait 9:30pm... it was 5pm). No thanks. It was nice - nothing more, nothing less. I was really disappointed I couldn't do Tilt 360. The observation deck does have great views and they have a really nice bar at the top called the 'Cloud Bar'. It is expensive and I was also disappointed I barely saw any merch with Tilt 360 on it. I thought that would be a hit for merchandise. I personally wouldn't go back, but it was okay for what it was. My husband enjoyed it even though he was scared just being at the top of the building.

A monumental view of one of the world's great cities. The Hancock Tower is an architectural masterpiece and an iconic destination in the Windy City. The tour is designed to allow the visitors to experience the city's grandeur from above. Having said that, it's also a tourist spot and some of its features are also bothersome. I got the Sip, Tilt and View Ticket and that allowed for a drink at the bar, the views from the observation floor, and the tilt experience as you sit and the floor tilts about 30° outward. The views are jaw dropping. The drinks are good. The Tilt is a fun experience but a "been there, done that" moment. The photographers are like flies on day-old fish. A few less would have improved the quality of the visit. Overall a great experience.

We visited 360 CHICAGO during a family trip in December and loved seeing the city from above! The observation deck has incredible views of the Chicago skyline and Lake Michigan, and a few of our family members added on TILT, which literally tilts you out over the city--they all loved it! There's also CloudBar at the top where you can grab coffee or an adult beverage while taking in the views. Definitely worth adding to your itinerary, especially if you're visiting Chicago with family.

I loved the views from the 94th floor. They also have a bar. We purchased the tickets in advance that included two drinks. You can sit at the hightop seating and enjoy the views. They have a restroom on the viewing level as well as one on the lower level by the cheesecake factory. If you purchase fast pass the line moves quickly. We went on a holiday around noon time. It wasn't to bad at that time. The views were amazing. So glad we decided to do this. They take pictures upon arrival which is optional to purchase. They also have a gift shop for purchases. Very nice chill atmosphere and it was fun to experience and take plenty of pictures that included the beach as well.

Gorgeous views.

Everything about Chicago 360 was absolutely fabulous! The breathtaking panoramic views of the Chicago skyline and Lake Michigan from 1,000 feet up are truly unforgettable. The large windows give a perfect and clear 360 view of the Windy City. Experience: The view of the sunset was breathtaking, the sips (we had a Negroni and a prosecco) were perfect, and the spectacular firework show over Navy Pier and the lights of the city was dreamy! Note: if you want to see the firework show, make sure to book a Wednesday or Saturday experience. Service: The staff was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and eager to help, making it s stunning must experience for anyone wanting to see Chicago from above! see will be back.

So, the experience was good. There are beautiful views of Chicago, but I feel like it was missing something. For me, visiting these places is a must when I visit big cities, and I had high expectations this time. The sunset area gets very crowded, and there's hardly anywhere to sit at that time. Even so, I recommend visiting it if you have several days to explore the city.

We went on a Sunday and the line was pretty short. We bought CityPass which gives expedited entry (quicker entry to the elevators). It is a quick and smooth ride to the top and some amazing views. The smoke from wildfires were still hanging out but just added to the scene for me. Did not do the Tilt, which is glass you stand in front of and then it tilts outwards. The line was long and an extra fee which you can pay when you get there if want to decide to see if worth it for you.

360 Chicago offers a sky view of the city. Went here in the evening. Got tickets online less than an hour before the timed entry at 9 pm. When we got there on that Wednesday evening, there was not a line and were not a lot of people. We were allowed to enter ~30 minutes before 9 pm. The lighting at night inside is green and not optimal for taking pictures because of the reflections despite the sky being clear that night. Compared to Skydeck, there is not much to do here. The only things to do here are the Tilt and drink at the bar. Even though the Tilt is very safe, I'd say it's not for the faint of heart. Nevertheless, I would recommend it. It was exhilarating! Pictures/videos are not allowed in the Tilt area but the photographer will take your pictures which will be for sale after. After the Tilt, you can go around and grab snack and/or drink but the pictures you'd get of yourself won't be nice in the evening. The situation may be different if it's daytime. There's also a gift shop but again, it's also dark and not well lit. The comfort room was also not the cleanest. If you had limited time and would have to choose between the two observation decks in Chicago, then go with the Skydeck. Hands down. You'll have better experience there.

Fairly low visibility - but still got to see a lot of the city!

Is the sky deck here too? I see it in some reviewers pics

No. This has the TILT which is very cool. This is in the Hancock building. The sky deck is in Willis Tower. Previously the Sears Tower. Do both!

Can one enter the signature lounge as long as they are accompanied by an adult? If so, must that adult be strictly a parent?

We allow all ages at the observation deck. The Signature Lounge is a separate business. As far as we know, minors are not permitted at all, but you’d be better off asking them.

[Yelp Review #3,000! Wooo.]…read more I had such a ball at Skydeck. I purchased the CityPass, which came with expedited entry. We visited on Labor Day and purposefully chose the 8:30 AM timeslot (special hours that day) to be first in, as I assumed that the crowds would be extreme. Thanks to the CityPass, my boyfriend and I were the FIRST guests upstairs. Incredible. This allowed us to have a little extra time in the Ledge for pictures (no one ushered us along). Everything about Skydeck was just super cool. Other reviewers here have already done the honors of providing the specific building stats, so I'll spare y'all, but I will say: this is a must when visiting Chicago! You can't beat the views.

#Chicago #flyforfun #friends #yelpfriends…read more So, we did all the touristy things and the Skydeck was one of stops. Located in the Willis Tower (formerly Sear Tower) you will find Skydeck. Take the escalator DOWN a few levels to get to the ticket agent. Here is my tip: Pay an extra $20 for the Expedited Line. Why? You won't be wasting your time, standing in line to take the elevator up 100+ floors. (the wait can turn into many minutes if not an hour...) Couple that with your wait when you get up the 100+ floors. The line you wait in for your photo op is an Expedited Line as well. You are given 2 minutes to take your pictures. With an Expedited Line Ticket you can return to the entry line and go back in for more pics.... A once in a life time journey for me but what a fantastic panoramic view from north to the south to the east and then to the west. A fantastic way to view Chicago and get your bearings for the rest of your visit. When you get back down to ground level; there are eateries in the Willis located on the street level.

Visit the birthplace of modern astrophysics!…read more Yerkes Observatory is a historic astronomical research facility that was founded in 1897 by astronomer George Ellery Hale. It's known as the "birthplace of modern astrophysics," and it houses the world's largest refracting telescope, with a 40-inch lens. Fair warning: This isn't a place you can just pop in and visit, like a museum. It's more like a public education center, and I believe you can only visit by booking a tour online. They also offer workshops and put on the occasional festival. During the tour, you can explore the building's beautiful architecture, learn about the history of the observatory, attend a lecture or stargazing event, and visit the out-of-this-world gift shop, full of astronomy-themed souvenirs for all ages. Depending on the type of tour you book, you might even be able to gaze at planets and stars through the telescope. Tours require climbing stairs and sometimes navigating through some tight spaces, so they aren't accessible. Tours cost money, but it's free to walk around the outside of the observatory and explore the arboretum. This is a really cool place to learn about space and the area's history with astrophysics. My group was highly entertained by our tour guide, Walt, so if he is leading your tour, you're in for a treat.
