Oh my gosh, I recently had the joy of doing a photo shoot at Purple Boudoir with Jacob and Megan,…read moreand I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences of my life. From the very first phone consultation to meeting Jacob in person, to the moment I walked in on shoot day, every step felt professional, connected, sensitive, and deeply empowering. The entire day was fun and full of giggles. I felt 100% comfortable from the very beginning, and I loved how Jacob demonstrated each pose so naturally--he made everything feel effortless. The atmosphere was light, playful, and incredibly positive; I truly felt beautiful the whole time. Before we began, Jacob asked me to come up with three adjectives describing how I wanted the photographs to feel. I said playful, sexy, and flirty. When I saw the photos they selected for my album, my mind was blown. They captured every part of my personality with stunning authenticity and artistry--and Megan reminded me that was even before the touchups! When the final digital images arrived in my inbox, I couldn't stop looking at them. The woman in those photographs is authentically me, reflected back in a way that feels playful, powerful, and beautiful. If you're considering investing in yourself with boudoir photography, honestly, Jacob at Purple Boudoir is the only place you need to look. His artistic eye, genuine passion, and commitment to helping women reclaim their confidence and beauty shine through in every moment of the experience and every photo he creates.

One youswoop later, and a bachelorette gift for my lovely lady friend was set up. Julie is very easy to work with with respect to setting up the appointment. We communicated very well over email, and she answered any and all questions (without giving me the "duh, read my website response" because I later realized that I could've figured this info out on my own.) We set up the appointment at a chic hotel downtown, and were ready. Day of shoot, Julie arrived, and got straight to work. She is great at giving directions, which is really important to make you look the very best in your shoot. She also makes you feel completely at ease, again critical when you're running around in your unmentionables (and your friends are shrieking, "MORE SIDE BOOB.") Some notes: -She can accommodate hair/makeup. I recommend either going through her or having this done. It really adds to the experience and sets you off feeling pretty. -Have a trusted girlfriend or three around to make you feel at ease. I think our commentary really relaxed and helped our friend. (Plus, see above...side boob was critical for some of the photos. We were HELPING.) -Champagne doesn't hurt either. -Make your bed. (Or do as we did, have it in a sexy hotel that will make the bed FOR you.) If you have any interest in having this done, I can't recommend it enough. Julie is just a peach of a gal, and her photos are FABULOUS.

One of my wonderful bridesmaids treated me to a boudoir shoot as her bachelorette gift to me, and…read moreI'm so glad she did because I never would have done it on my own. Julie was fantastic to work with and gave such great direction so you don't feel like an idiot as she's putting you in the most flattering poses for your pictures. I had all three of my bridesmaids with me which definitely helped make me extremely comfortable with the session. That, combined with a few mimosas, really relaxed me, especially as my friends were encouraging me that the pics were amazing while at the same time hilariously directing me to show more boob and booty. One of my other bridesmaids treated me to hair and makeup separately, and after seeing the pictures I'm glad I did it, it makes a big difference. If you want a fun experience that will capture some really hot photos of you, that, lets be honest--you will never really have a chance to get unless you're a model and are used to prancing around a bedroom getting pics taken of you in lingerie, then I suggest you use Chicago Doll Photography. You'll be happy you did!!

Photography was first on our vendor list after setting a date at OSP, especially since the list seemed like a limited one - I was a little unsure about having just a few photographers to choose from, but I need not have worried one bit; there was no need to look any further! Our first meeting was with Nick Gerber, who was our primary photographer. He is such a great photographer!! You can tell he really enjoys what he does, and he's damn good at it too--if you check out his IG @realnickgerber, you'll see what I mean. He was so fun to work with throughout the whole process...engagement photos, wedding day, all the correspondence in between. Frank teamed up with him on the wedding, and he was great and fun to be around as well. They had a wonderful way about them, and I think that sets a tone for getting really great shots. Speaking of the pictures...they are amazing! We did wait a few weeks longer than expected, but not entirely a surprise coming off peak wedding season. The photos were so worth the wait! There are some vendors you may actually miss after the big day just because you enjoy their company that much...Nick is definitely in that category. Thankfully, we still have a wedding album meeting to get in the books!

Before there was a Motionn Picture, I wanted to "be Ravi". #ToughCrowd…read more Having seen this guy's work for some time now, and learning that he finally made a Yelp page? It's only natural that I tell you guys about him. I've seen him in action on several occasions, and I gotta tell ya... He is a PHENOMENAL photographer, one that I take many cues & pointers from myself. He's got a style like no other in the Jersey area. There is no "specialty" in his repertoire. While his primary focus is the MODELING industry, that isn't the only notch under his belt. He's pretty freakin' primo when it comes to weddings & other settings (hey, that rhymed). He doesn't just shoot models... He does family portraits, lingerie shoots, kid's shots, and much more. But if you are indeed a model, he'll make a super-wicked comp card. I've seen 'em, bruh. If you take a look at MY photo with this review, you'll see the quality of his work. He managed to make MY weird mug look kinda cute! Lol. Seriously, though... He has amassed a dope following for his work in portraits, events, and even editorial photography. What's great about this dude is that he doesn't just SHOOT the photos, but he's highly skilled in directing his subjects & models, and making them feel incredibly comfortable in front of a camera. Not many photogs have the ability (nor the patience) to truly connect with a subject and make them 'pop' and shine for portraits. Ravi has a great eye for detail, as well... Making sure that there is nothing in a photo that would otherwise detract from your beauty, and what you're trying to accomplish in said photos... He's got an INCREDIBLE studio space, with cool backdrops and FANTASTIC lighting, all of the above. Loads of space for shooting, FULL bathrooms, changing rooms, the whole nine. You will absolutely get loads of leg exercise going upstairs... However, once you've caught your breath? You'll probably lose it again once you see his work IN-STUDIO. Lol.

I searched for a while for a boudoir photographer (in and around Chicago) whose work didn't look…read morecheesy or out dated. I know there is a very thin line between vulgar photos and classy yet, sexy boudoir pictures. I knew exactly what I did NOT want - the same old shots with fake chandeliers, ugly wall paper, zebra, or leopard print curtains and forced sexiness. The people that I initially called did not have the style I was looking for and were absolutely not affordable either. I was about to give up when I found Provocouture Boudoir. They did not have any reviews online, but had stunning photos. I was very skeptical yet drawn toward the refreshing style of the photos. I made a note of their phone number and called them the next day. Ravi, the lead boudoir photographer, promptly picked up the phone and walked me through his previous work in fashion and beauty. What honestly worked for me were his examples of people captured with some sort of movement in them while in nice lingerie or fabric. The phone conversation helped me able to envision myself in those poses and I quickly booked my appointment before I lost my courage to get these photos done. The shoot was scheduled 2 weeks from the day I spoke to them. I planned 4 different looks for my shoot with their team and knew exactly what I needed to bring and what they would be providing. I went to my own makeup artist and got my make up there to my liking since I have been using the same person for all my makeup needs. On the day of the shoot, I was greeted by warm, friendly people and felt like I was meeting up with old friends. They are silly, funny, warm but made me work. I enjoyed every minute of the session. Since everything was preplanned, all that I did was have fun at the shoot. They showed me almost all the photos right away and I honestly could not believe that it was me. I was very conscious of the way my arms and thighs looked, every girl's nightmare I guess. (not their mistake LOL) They said they would take care of it in post retouches. I get a certain number of photo shop edits with the package. They told me they would have the edits ready in 2 weeks, but I got them in less than 10 days. The final photos blew my mind! They captured the sexy me efficiently and effortlessly while letting me having fun. I must have looked at my own images a few hundred times! Some of you (or all of you) may relate with this...you know how you have an image of yourself in your head, and that image would look super-confident after a really nice cut and color? This shoot as given me several times that confidence overnight. I feel great about myself and I am writing this so you can also feel that way. If you are wondering about price, I paid $495 for my package and feel like I got a GREAT value. Call these guys while they are still affordable and available :-) They are AWESOME!
