3 Happy Dogs were exactly what we needed for our menagerie of animals! I've never had a sitter who could sit for my high energy dogs, cats, and horses, who are all rescues with their own nuances and quirks. Lisa and Nick took the job without hesitation, providing the horses with their supplements and hay, keeping their turnout and barn tidy, giving one of my dogs his medications, and keeping the dogs and cats fed on time. They sent pictures with each visit and gave updates for drop ins and overnights. We came home to typically needy animals acting like we'd never left at all, and our home was exactly how we left it. They also brought in some packages that arrived unexpectedly while we were away, again without complaint or hesitation. 3 Happy Dogs make us feel comfortable to go on trips knowing our babies are safe and loved at home. Lisa and Nick are amazing - they treat our dogs like family and are soooo good and patient with them!! Their service goes above and beyond what we could ever ask for in a pet sitting service. They've been working with us for two generations of rescue pets (and a guinea pig guest one time...) and have been patient and kind through crazy puppy antics, stand-offish "new home, new people" adjustment periods, and senior moments. We have been working with Nick and Lisa for a few years now and couldn't be happier. We have them come over during the day some times to walk our dog, do extended stays on vacations, and check on the cats if we are away for a weekend. Our dog has some issues and doesn't like most people, but loves both of them. We find they are easy to work with, genuinely care about our animals, and do what they say they are going to do. Extra fee: emotional manipulation Tldr: she'll forget who you are within the week. If you tell her that your feelings are hurt because she forgot, she'll tell you that you should be grateful for all she did for you. Tries to create doubt about your other sitter. Can't handle negative feedback. Minimizes your feelings as "so small". Her saying "I'm sorry but..." seems insincere. Sarcastic. Classic manipulation. Long version: When I asked Lisa if she was available to sit again, only a week after she had done a good job for me, she asked me if I was a new client.  I didn't write her back because it seemed flakey that she didn't even know who I was. Weeks later she assumed she was hired and wrote: Hi I just wanted to confirm your trip coming up the 10th is when we are staring through the 21st is our last day? Me: Oh sorry. I hired someone else.  Lisa: Oh ok. Was there something that we did wrong? Me: You didn't remember who I was a week after you had just been in my home.  Lisa: Well I'm sorry about that I just hadn't had the chance to save your email to your contact. Since txting is main way we were communicating I had the kitties info saved there.  I guess going above and beyond shoveling snow and sending pics and updates everyday wasn't enough to over look a little mistake like that. If you would have mentioned your cats names in the email I would have known who you were right away. Good luck with the new pet sitter!  Me: Why chose to be rude? You could have recovered from this but you chose to give up and be snarky.  Lisa: That is not what I am doing at all but when you say you hired someone else after what we did for you I take that very personally. After something so small that I apologized for twice.  Me: Look, you did what you said you would do for a price. I paid you. If I'm expected to be grateful  on top of that for something you did that was part of your services then you'll be disappointed. I take it personally that you were in my home and then couldn't remember me. It's about being more than just a number. Your apology didn't seem sincere.  Lisa: Well I'm sorry but we see the pets every day and know everything there is to know about feeding and caring for the pet that we do. We don't see the owners every day if ever after the meet and greet. So we save all contact info around the pets name. Which I didn't have a chance to save email addresses to the pets name yet being busy season. Paperwork takes a back burner when the pets come first. I saw your email and wanted to reply back right away and the following day I realized and apologized. I don't think I could do anymore then that.  Shoveling, taking pics and updates isn't apart of what we include in our service rates. It's an extra perk we like to do to keep clients happy not a requirement. Thanks for service, hope everything works out for you and the cats.  Me: To quote you "All done. we like to do the walk ways and a strip down the driveway just for the city and so the house doesn't look like no one is home. Especially this time of year." That sounds like a part of the service to me. So you choose to give perks on your own. A better perk would be to remember your clients and treat them like valued people. My cats will be fine with their usual sitter whom I've had for years and who doesn't forget me or give me attitude. Your thanks and hopes and good lucks are phoney.  Lisa: That's your opinion of me but not at all who I am. We have been in business for years and have won best of arvada for what we provide and I'm very proud of what we do. If you weren't happy I'm very sorry about that and do take it personally. I've apologized and that's all I can do. Since I must not be sincere there isn't anything else I can say.  -- Notice her sarcasm at the end.  -- Whatever award she got doesn't negate my feelings or mean that I should put up with her attitude. Sure, hire her but don't say anything negative when she flakes or else she'll accuse you of being ungrateful. She lost $300 as a result her flaking on me. read more

Nick and Lisa are great! They send me photos of our dogs every day to let us know how they are doing. They've brought packages in for us during the holidays so they wouldn't get stolen. They are kind and gentle with our dogs. They are "3 happy dogs", we have 3 happy dogs! Thanks guys! read more

We could not believe this place was not already on here! They are awesome! We have two dogs, one huge and friendly, the other small and a skittish. We found them when we were desperately looking for someone to watch our dogs during a vacation. Our dogs hated going to boarding and we thought this would be a great solution, pet sitting in our home. What a wonderful team. They came and met us and the dogs, they all came, all three people who would be coming to visit during our absence. So that we could meet them. They immediately got down on the floor with them. Even our skittish didn't seem too shy. Anyway, we had such a wonderful experience we now have them come 3 times a week to do a walk for them while we are at work. We have never had happier dogs! I cannot say enough about Three Happy Dogs! We had recently moved and were planning a vacation when the stresses about our "kid care" came upon us. While hoping a miraculous plan would present itself, I asked my vet about boarding for a week. We had some special needs with one of our dogs, which was a real concern to leave her. It had to be someone special. We were then directed to 3 Happy Dogs. Tammy and the crew came to meet us and immediately connected to our "babies". We cannot say enough about the wonderful care they received in our absence. Heidi sent us text messages and pictures of how well they were doing. It was a wonderful vacation knowing our valuables were well taken care of. I recommend them highly!!!! read more
