I initially had a great experience with Jaime Langer and genuinely believe she has strong design…read moreskills. However, my overall experience with her ended in deep disappointment and frustration. If you choose to work with her, do not let her refer you to Hummingbird HRD (Crystal and Brian Mansanares), as that is where everything unraveled. Jaime first helped me after a Christmas morning plumbing disaster, and at the outset, she was fantastic--quick to respond, knowledgeable, and actively engaged in creating thoughtful layouts. Because things seemed to be going well, we also hired her for additional design work in our kitchen and living room. But when she referred us to Hummingbird as the general contractor, she stepped away entirely, leaving us in the hands of an inexperienced team that led to an overpriced, incomplete, and poorly executed renovation. Where Things Went Wrong Jaime and Crystal turned out to be personal friends rather than longtime collaborators, and our home was essentially a "guinea pig project"--a fact Jaime admitted only after things had gone terribly wrong. The staggering lack of professionalism from Hummingbird resulted in months of stress, wasted money, and a home that remains unfinished to this day. After Crystal declared the project "done" (despite glaringly poor workmanship), I asked Jaime to see the state of things herself. She agreed with me that the quality was unacceptable and even apologized for how badly things had turned out. She admitted that Crystal lacked the necessary experience and recognized that we had been unintentionally used as a test project. To make matters worse, she also told me, "Wow, I didn't realize you were so detail-oriented--I would feel exactly the same." As if they thought they could get away with subpar work and I wouldn't notice--truly insulting. Jaime's Final Disappointing Choice To her credit, Jaime convinced Crystal and Brian to attempt to fix their mess, but she ultimately abandoned the project. Despite personally acknowledging all the flaws, she later sent me a completely contradictory statement: "I have every faith in Hummingbird completing the project as promised, and overall, I believe they have done an exceptional job." This project was supposed to take 4-6 weeks starting in March--it was still dragging on in November, at which point I cut ties entirely because it was no longer worth the emotional toll. To this day, our home remains unfinished and cheap-looking, a painful reminder of the stress and financial loss we endured. What We Actually Got for Jaime's Fees After paying her design fees for both the bathroom and kitchen/living room, all we truly received was: * Layout options * A recommendation for Hummingbird (which proved disastrous) * Help selecting a kitchen table and rug Had we gone with a different general contractor, I might be writing a glowing five-star review. Unfortunately, given how this played out, I cannot recommend Jaime Langer at all.

Sometimes we all need another perspective and Jaime is a great design partner. Jaime is well known for her excellent staging work, but also consider her for interior design.

I have to share the exceptional customer service I recently experienced at this Lazy boy store. I…read morepurchased a sofa a few weeks ago and one side would not fully recline which was discovered during delivery. I contacted Connie and she agreed to send someone out promptly to see what the problem was. Mike was promptly at my home 30 minutes after talking to Connie. Mike found the problem and I decided to have the sofa replaced instead of repaired. He relayed that info to Connie, she called me 30 mins later and set up redelivery ASAP. The next week I received my replacement but the 3rd party delivery co. could not take the original sofa. I have a small living room and having 2 sofas in the space was very inconvenient. I visited the store, and first spoke to Jeff. After learning it would be a week to pick of the 1st sofa I asked to speak to the manager. The manager was not helpful and I did not ask for his name. Jeff ask to speak to the manager in private and a few minutes later asked me if I would be at home for a bit. He then explained that he could come to my house with Mike and pick up the old sofa in about an hour! Jeff and Mike arrived at my home about 40 mins later and removed the old sofa! Jeff, Mike, and Connie clearly have exceptional customer service skills and it was a pleasure dealing with them. I could not be happier with the superior service the 3 of them provided. I am disappointed with the manager and his problem solving skills. I look forward to enjoying the quality of my Lazy Boy sofa and future purchases at this location. Thank you Connie, Jeff and Mike!

The wife and I purchased a reclining sofa a while back. It had problems. The next thing is we constantly had a neck ache due to either the angle or the fullness of the head rest that causes my head to jut forward.. We finally dumped that sofa and looked at various places for a replacement and wound up back at Lazy Boy again and I'll be damned if we didn't buy the exact same sofa that we had before. Can't return it, can't dump it, can't sit on it..I wrapped a ratchet strap around the upper cushion to squash it down but it didn't help with the neck issue...I've even tried to elevate the front but still, no difference....not sure why these were made. Everyone I had over felt neck strain...but wow...I REALLY purchased the same sofa...I'm kicking myself for that one..in addition the right side cushion causes me to sit very awkward. I'm either turned left or right, maybe too much stuffing...very annoying...it looks damn good though..

She has her own style, but is truly able to see spaces through her customer's eyes--making suggestions and educating her customers as needed along the way. I appreciated April's insights and recommendations, and I would have been paralyzed in making decisions without bouncing ideas off her. My new kitchen represents my personality, a happy and bright space. April also found some key design elements for me, including the beautiful caldera mirrors, natural stone vanity lights, and copper tub that helped me complete the idea of bringing the outdoors inside for my new Master Bathroom. April recommended Tim of Tim's flooring and Home improvements, and helped us pick the beautiful floor color which is not too dark, and complements the two cabinet colors I have in my new kitchen.
