Wow! What a spectacular evening at Sebastian's!…read moreCelebrated my husband's birthday along with a hometown reunion of his siblings here the other evening and it was PERFECT. The food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is spot on and gives you exactly the feel you want in a fine dining establishment. But the thing that makes this restaurant stand far above most others is the service! From the minute we walked in, we encountered nothing but genuine smiles and a sense that everyone there seemed to really care and be invested in us having a wonderful experience in their place of business. We were greeted at the front desk by a team of radiant ladies at the host stand. It seriously felt like they were happy to see us! Violet was especially kind and gracious and we enjoyed a short chat with her. The bartender was pleasant and efficient in taking our large varied order, and the drinks were solid. The bus and runner staff all were personable, polite and expedient. But the true star of our night was our waiter Brandon! He was spectacular. There were 15 of us and he handled our large table calmly and skillfully. He handled our indecisiveness, modifications, add ons, questions and loud revelry, professionally and expertly, never loosing his composure or patience. He definitely made our night. Thank you Brandon. We live in New York and most of the others live in Milwaukee and Minneapolis now, but Racine is the hometown and the 4th of July is a kin to a sacred holiday. The parade not to be missed! So I'm sure many a visit back is in our future, and the next time we do, I will make sure Sebastian's is on the top of our must do list! So please stay wonderful! Five stars!

I asked them to cook new pieces, because the steak came with yellow peppercorn like sauce all over and if they refried the same pieces the sauce would turn them into a hockey puck... well they brought me out the same pieces. Kind of turned me off, but Michael was so nice and asked me to pick something else. I got the steak frites instead and they were exceptional! Also had the desserts and they were to die for. I was there traveling for work and will go back if I am back in town again!

The rooftop bar has a great outdoor deck and great appetizer plates for sharing. The deck has bags, big jenga and connect 4 games. The wine selection is small but really well put together! Highly recommend!

Hotel Verdant was the perfect place for my family and I to stay during our visit to Milwaukee!…read more We picked a standard room with 2 queen beds, but it was much nicer than I expected! The room was spacious with plenty of counter space and charging ports, and the restroom was restocked daily with complimentary toiletries. I feel like I can never get a good night's sleep when I'm say sleeping on a hotel bed, but I slept like a baby in my bed at Hotel Verdant! The sheets felt so luxurious and comfortable, and while I usually need to stack the pillows in hotel beds, one pillow was plenty of support for me here. I also appreciated that the housekeeping service actually did come freshen up our room (make the beds, replace the towels, etc) every day during our stay, which doesn't usually happen at the other hotels I've stayed at recently. I didn't love that there is no attached parking garage/lot for the hotel, and instead you have to lug all your luggage across the street to the lot that is shared with two restaurants. My reason for giving Hotel Verdant 4 stars instead of 5 is because the bathroom door did not close all the way in my room, which was very inconvenient, and one of the coffee mugs in my room was very obviously dirty upon my arrival (there were drips of coffee still in it). However, neither of those issues are total dealbreakers, and I do see myself staying at Hotel Verdant if I'm ever in that area again!

Our waitress Hannah was PHENOMENAL. Took our orders and then promptly brought warm bread and our beverages. The bread was delicious. It was a great pairing with our soup. I had the cream of asparagus, my husband had the crock of baked French onion. Both soups were superb. Next course was a fresh garden salad with ranch dressing for us both. Very tasty especially with the fresh cracked black pepper that was added. Our entrees came next. Dry rubbed full rack of ribs for my husband with a baked potato and I had the porterhouse steak - cooked medium, with garlic mashed potatoes. My husband said the ribs were hands down the best he has ever had. My steak literally melted in my mouth. I have eaten many steaks in my life- this one topped them all. It was cooked perfectly, seasoned well and needed nothing else to it. It was pure perfection. The mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious. We couldn't finish and took the leftovers home. Before we left, our server Hannah brought out a slice of pumpkin spice cheesecake with a candle to wish us a Happy Anniversary. The whole experience was amazing. Will most definitely be back again!

The restaurant is quite spacious and located on the second level of the building. There are options to sit inside, outside but covered, or outside. The marina and Lake Michigan add the experience with great views from the deck area. Our server was very nice. She was super attentive, and we really appreciated her checking back in for refills, napkins, etc. The food was actually the highlight of my experience. I got the garlic shrimp skewers which came with a Hawaiian roll, Cole slaw and a side (I chose a baked potato). My partner got the prime rib dip with hush puppies. Didn't have a chance to take a pic of the cheese curds before they were devoured! Only downside is the place is VERY noisy. Everytime someone who move a chair, the scraping sound was otherworldly. They are metal chairs on a concrete/gravel flooring. Not ideal. And waitstaff was constantly dropping things and running into each other or the chairs/tables. That was a bit chaotic. However, the food was great and so were the views. They also have live music (they had wrapped up before we got there today). I'd definitely come back (maybe sit inside near an area where you can look out on the lake).
