Suppressor mounts and hubs, flashlight tape switches, good, high end NVGs, steel targets, and they personally test a huge majority of the gear they sell - and then put up well made YouTube videos with the results. If you've ever bought an NFA item from a shop and then had them sit on your approval for days or weeks... another sigh of relief with ECG. From what I can tell, they strive to get notifications out to customers the day they get the approvals from the ATF. No games like I've played with a lot of other NFA shops over the last 14 years. The can uses a proprietary thread spec that doesn't fit any third-party muzzle device. You're locked into buying AA's own. Their dealers aren't told this, and they're also not told that the can ships with a 5/8x24 brake by default -- so if you're running a 1/2x28 host (most ARs, most pistol-caliber stuff), what comes in the box won't even thread on. You find that out after you've paid. And gone though NFA hassle. Their muzzle devices themselves aren't great, and they're constantly out of stock. No restock dates, no email alerts, no backorders. When I asked how to know when something's back, I was basically told to keep checking the website. Customer service is slow and short. A simple technical question took two weeks to get a one-line answer. When I followed up after silence, the reply included "you are not our only customer, please have patience." While I waited, the part I was ready to buy went out of stock. Wanted to support an US/Idaho company. But I regret the purchase.

There are however some negatives that could make shopping here much better. A large part of their business comes from online sales. They are one of two or three sites well known in the muzzleloader community as a go to place for hard to find supplies. With so much online business you would think the web site would be easy to navigate, but it could use some improvement and streamlining. It does take some practice and effort to find certain items and a number of links on their page come up with no products listed. It can be a little tedious to find some items. The biggest drawback is the time from order to shipping. A five to seven day wait for orders to be shipped is not unusual. This usually means a 10 to 12 day wait from the time an order is placed until it arrives. That's an eternity by todays standards. Especially so as you pay $15 for shipping and handling when so many companies are offering free shipping for larger orders. Malia, the class coordinator, was flexible about letting me register at literally the last minute to take this class with my friends. I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised at how well the class was designed. The brief lecture was far from boring, the instructor, Chris was very thorough and seemed to be an expert on the subject matter. Don't get me wrong - its a long course - almost 4 and a half hours long - but Chris is a very efficient, patient and thorough instructor. I honestly did not realize how quickly time passed because the material content and his presentation/delivery techniques made the material easy to grasp and understand. I especially liked how he tailored his content to both audiences who have been around and using guns all their lives - to those with limited exposure to them - myself being in the latter group. What I really appreciate about Chris's class is how much emphasis he places on safety and awareness - I think that alone shows the level of respect Chris has for an subject area that has drawn countless debates. I highly recommend taking this course. Even if it may not be legal (yet) to carry in your state, the permit you do end up getting is valid in nearly half the US. In addition, the level of knowledge you take away from this class alone, gives you more awareness and respect for gun use/safety.
