Shout out to Simon and Lucy for always making us feel more than welcome. Any parent who complains about the park employees treatment of their kids is 100% NOT A SKATER. THAT is the real problem; Parents who have no clue regarding skatepark etiquette bringing their snowflake children to skateparks and thinking they can run willy nilly like it's a freakin trampoline park. They seriously endanger themselves and everyone else but their parents are too ignorant to know. My son is 10 and schooled in skatepark etiquette since day 1 and we have NEVER had anything but positive interactions with the staff here. Thank you VANS and Huntington Beach for this epic skatepark!!!

Unfortunately, today was a completely different story. We understand that safety rules exist for a reason, but the consistency and attitude from the staff today were awful. First, one staff member kindly asked me to separate my kids into different sections of the bowl so they wouldn't bump into each other because they are " inexperience" he said. I happily complied. Shortly after, another staff member came over with an angry tone and stated that only one kid could be in the bowl at a time. If that is the policy, that's fine but the staff needs to be on the same page, and they certainly don't need to be mean. It really felt like my kids were being singled out and penalized just for not being expert skateboarders yet. Super discouraging environment today.

You can get there by first parking at Fairview Park, then walking down the dirt path that leads to a paved path, or walking down the stairs. There is a restroom and water fountain, along with some picnic tables. It's very well kept and not many people know about it, so usually it's pretty secluded. Right now there is a rattlesnake warning sign up. We did come across a small gardener snake along the paved trail on our way there, but it got out of the way once it felt us coming. It's a very nice little park to relax, have a picnic, or kick around a ball with your dog. It's also only 3 miles from the beach, so on a really hot day, it's a great spot to still be able to be outdoors since it will be a lot cooler in this area.

If you're biking this trail between Corona city and Huntington Beach, Talbert Park as well as Fairview Park may serve as a couple pleasant detours. + Peaceful ambience in some parts of this park. Non-likes: - Limited parking. The parking & pedestrian access options from Sea Bluff Dr & Sea Cove Ln section is limited. You'll prob wanna park around the Discovery Dr & Balboa Blvd intersection.
