Cons: They close early at random times because of staffing issues. On a weekday recently I came…read morearound 5 PM, and they said that they're closed because there's not enough people working and "calling off." They explicitly stated that the next time I go, I should call ahead of time to see if the park will be open. The next time, I did exactly that, AND YET, THERE WERE STILL ISSUES. I called in around 4 PM, and they said they closed at 6 PM. When I arrived at 5:15, they told me that the park closed at 5:30! Don't waste your time trying to communicate with these people because they clearly don't communicate amongst themselves. A business should be organized more efficiently, and the patron's time should be more valued. Pros: The workers are always really friendly and never forget to tell you to have a good day when you arrive and leave. It's a really nice skate park, and it's free which makes it even better. But with the carelessness on the worker's park and how busy it always is, I'm very hesitant to recommend this park.

However, it is on the longer side, so I recommend coming prepared for a bit of distance. The views definitely make it worth it though. You can always ditch and go back to your car at any point if you find the hike too long. One of my favorite parts is that there are some great coffee shops you can stop by near different access points along the loop. The area also feels very safe. Overall, this is a perfect go-to trail if you're looking for something scenic and easy.

There's vending machine as well. Be careful - watch out for coyotes because Peter Canyon Trail is next to the park.

Bathrooms are clean enough and decently well stocked. Parents can grab a seat on one of many benches and there is good visibility as the kids run from area to area. There are baby and regular swings, and one big flat disk that you can lay down on. There are also spider web ropes for climbing. The softball fields are great for running the bases in between games, or flying a kite in the outfield. We tend to come in the evenings when it's cold so we haven't had a chance to use the splash pad but the structures in the area are still available for climbing. Solid choice for running off some kid energy.
