I pop in this women's boutique from time-to-time to see what's up. Linda's carries a nice mix of…read morebasics and layering pieces, as well as avant garde statement pieces. Here you can pick up a beautiful shirt or sweater that will make an outfit (and potentially cause heads to swivel). Unlike other boutiques, Linda's carries lines that you will not see everywhere (and definitely not at major department stores). While the clothes have attitude (or at least a point of view), the sales associates do not. They have been gracious and helpful every time I stop in. If you want assistance or a candid opinion, they will provide it; if you just want to browse, they will not hover. Linda's is an "old school" boutique in the best possible way.

I should've known. This Marshalls in on Roosevelt Blvd, in a renovated strip mall, in a hit or miss…read moresection of the boulevard. It looks SO nice on the outside, so I decided to give it a look, despite what I knew to be true about the area. Wrong. Ugh. I actually get upset when my negative preconceptions are proven to be absolutely true. Upon parking, I walk up to the entrance and have to navigate around 2 men having an aggressive conversation at an above normal decibel level. I walk in, and not 2 seconds later, some young, scraggly dude walks past me and belches so loudly the employee unloading boxes gasps in disgust. I'm 10 seconds into my experience, and already I'm ready to turn around. The next knock is that the inside is CRAZY crowded. Merchandise is just on top of other merchandise. Again, the outside of this store is completely redone, and it looks like it belongs in Marlton or some other uppity New Jersey suburb, but inside, it is super cramped. The last straw was listening to the employees argue and yell at each other about when they were getting off, and what they WEREN'T going to do, etc, etc. I looked at the like 4 small racks of mens clothes and decided it wasn't worth it. I headed back to Jersey to do my shopping. I love Marshalls, but I don't see a reason to come back to this one any time soon. It's a bit out of the way, and about 100 times less impressive than the one in my own town.

I have never experienced such poor customer service at a boutique, especially after spending a…read moresignificant amount of money on a dress. I purchased a very expensive dress from this boutique, only to later discover that the exact same dress was being sold for substantially less at other retailers. I also had alterations done at the store and was given an estimate of what they would cost, only to be charged approximately $100 more when I picked up the dress. To make matters worse, I was then told there would be a 3% credit card fee--something that was never disclosed to me beforehand. Had I known about the fee, I would have brought cash. When I tried to address my concerns, the owner/employee was extremely rude, dismissive, and completely unwilling to help resolve the situation. I was actually told that I could shop somewhere else in the future. After spending this much money, I expected to be treated with basic courtesy and professionalism. The entire experience was incredibly disappointing. The way a business treats its customers matters just as much as the products it sells, and unfortunately, the customer service here was unacceptable. I absolutely would not shop here again and would strongly encourage others to consider their options before making a purchase
