When we made our trip to Columbia, one of the places I didn't know we were going to stop in was Cosmic rays! Cosmic rays specializes in a lot of things, including video games, toys but most importantly, comics! They have a nice selection of comics and being surrounded by them brought back nostalgia. My gf wanted to buy some comics for a friend since we were in the area, and rather than tell her what I thought, we picked the brain of staff, who were super cool about listening to what she was looking for, and came with recommendations that were right in line with what she wanted. Super friendly staff who were happy to let us casually peruse, and ultimately we walked away with a comic featuring AOC (a comic she couldn't walk away from). Located off of Devine st, there is limited parking right in front of the shop, but we didn't have a problem finding a spot, nor did we see the lot full each time we passed the area. Friendly staff, located on a main road, and filled with lots of entertainment from games to movies to comics, if you or someone you know wants to get into some adventures, come check Cosmic Rays out!

First, the shop has the largest selection of modern comic books at COVER PRICE that I've ever seen. Second, they have a dazzling selection of CGC comic books for those who like their comics professionally graded. Third, they have a vast selection of fairly priced vintage comic books that aren't in slabs. Did I mention all of the autographed comics? Graphic novels? The staggering selection of action figures, statutes, and merchandise? Legos? Star Wars merch? The 17.76% off sale when I visited around the Fourth of July? I could seriously go on and on (I'm not exaggerating when I say I browsed and shopped for four hours straight and STILL didn't see it all.) If you asked me what my favorite part of Galactic Comics was, the answer is easy. It's the people. Dale, the owner, was so friendly and personable. His employees were also kind and approachable. After spending 20 mins with my lovely wife's assistance we picked out a couple dozen nice DC Silver and Bronze age books to add to the collection. I am very surprised to see others not receiving their packages. It must have to do with COVID and the supply lines being minimized and shipping being slow. They sell tons of collectible figures (including pop funko), comics, records, tapes, dvds, cds etc. used and new. They had an incredible LOTR collectible figure corner. It was above an employee only area so I had to ask the employees to pull things down for me and let me walk inside a bit closer to read what was up on the wall. That was annoying to do but they were nice. They had a ton of stuff overall I haven't seen in other places and I spent a LOT of money here! :)

They had sheets of cardboard over all of the boxes of comics as they were using them to stock or organize stuff. So basically I couldn't browse through long boxes of comics without having to ask them if they can move their set up somewhere else. I'll try again and re-review if it's a better experience.
