They were also priced at $4 or $5, nearly the price of a new one that doesn't have the cover/spine all mangled. For the entire duration of my visit, the two people there (owners?) carried on a conversation about which movies they were wanting to see, and the last episode of Oprah. Not once did they address me, acknowledge my presense, or inquire as to whether I needed assistance.

When we made our trip to Columbia, one of the places I didn't know we were going to stop in was Cosmic rays! Cosmic rays specializes in a lot of things, including video games, toys but most importantly, comics! They have a nice selection of comics and being surrounded by them brought back nostalgia. My gf wanted to buy some comics for a friend since we were in the area, and rather than tell her what I thought, we picked the brain of staff, who were super cool about listening to what she was looking for, and came with recommendations that were right in line with what she wanted. Super friendly staff who were happy to let us casually peruse, and ultimately we walked away with a comic featuring AOC (a comic she couldn't walk away from). Located off of Devine st, there is limited parking right in front of the shop, but we didn't have a problem finding a spot, nor did we see the lot full each time we passed the area. We were promptly greeted by the staff and Courtney was very helpful escorting us to the area that we needed to be in to begin our book search. After spending 20 mins with my lovely wife's assistance we picked out a couple dozen nice DC Silver and Bronze age books to add to the collection. They sell tons of collectible figures (including pop funko), comics, records, tapes, dvds, cds etc. used and new. They had an incredible LOTR collectible figure corner. It was above an employee only area so I had to ask the employees to pull things down for me and let me walk inside a bit closer to read what was up on the wall. That was annoying to do but they were nice. They had a ton of stuff overall I haven't seen in other places and I spent a LOT of money here! :)

They had sheets of cardboard over all of the boxes of comics as they were using them to stock or organize stuff. It's a fairly basic setup, with a small display/sales area - an assortment of loose dice, some M:TG tourney decks, card protectors, and a display case of singles - and about a dozen tables set up for play. The first time I went, on a Sunday, it was pretty empty, but my daughter and I returned on a Saturday and they had a full house. They hold tournament play and there are periods of open play, and one of the owners (I forget their names now; my apologies) mentioned they were going to be setting up a Friday night video game thing. Everyone here seems to be great and I look forward to spending more time with these folks. Game on!
