Volumes cover a variety of genres, but selection is especially strong in classic fiction, religion, children's favorites, and local authors. Local owners featuring local (and not local) authors and artists, this is such a super cute spot. The kids room with a huge fake tree and pillows on the floor and books so kids can lie down and read is just too cute for words. I look forward to coming back, hopefully for one of their events, or just to shop and recommend for anyone within driving distance to come and take a look around.

It is well organized, full of Thousands of books for $1 dollar (Not all books are one dollar, but more than half!). They also have DVDs, and kids books.There is a big shelf as soon as you walk in filled with the books that most kids have to read for their English classes, and most for $1. And then you are finished reading your books, you can donate them back to this facility and it goes to further the efforts of the Friends of the New Orleans Public Library.....win-win!! An added benefit for those who like to compost, Compost NOW accepts frozen compostable food scraps here from 12:30pm-2pm every Wednesday. Recycle some books, and recycle food waste.

There is a series of book shelves devoted to her work with the coffin frame around it. They have both autographed vintage copies of her work and newer editions. They have an excellent selection of local writers and locally-based work in addition to general fiction, nonfiction, LGTBQIA+, and more. There is also the Epilogue Bar if you want to enjoy a drink while reading the book you purchased. I picked up a few books centered around NOLA that were intriguing to me. The two staff behind the front counter were chatty and friendly as we made our purchases. It's a great location to check out at The Rink building in the Garden District.
