However, as we discussed installation, he insisted that no ceiling brace would be needed when the weight-bearing wall was removed, and that " a couple of two by fours" was an acceptable alternative to the standard 4 by 10 inch header. When we insisted that both a temporary brace and header were essential, his bid increased by about 50%. Grant also told us that the only window manufacturer he used could NOT make a window with the coating we desired. He refused to even call and ask them, so we did, finding they were more than happy to meet our request, at no additional cost. We were relieved to have someone else do the install. BEWARE.

If you need windows or glass repaired, talk to Carlos and Nancy! Awesome husband and wife team!…read more Happened to be at my parents' house and noticed a lot of the windows were older and difficult to open. Remembered Glassman to the Rescue when I was doing windows research in the past. They had tons of 5 star Yelp reviews, which is why they were at the top of my contact list. Texted Nancy (the "glass girl" and wife of the Glassman) and she responded very quickly. Carlos the Glassman was able to stop by the same day (within the hour!) and taught me about how to keep the older windows lubricated. He sprayed on some magic stuff and wow, they were like brand new! He could have easily replaced parts and suggested new valances to make more money but he was honest with me and said that new valances would have issues in the future too. Very grateful for Carlos and Nancy's responsiveness today and for helping us with the windows! Will keep them in mind for future windows and glass repairs!

Outstanding Service & Craftsmanship. Highly Recommend!…read more Dimas is an absolute standout. From the very beginning, his responsiveness impressed me. He got back to me quickly when other glass companies took days or wouldn't even provide a ballpark estimate. That alone set him apart. I also ran into other contractors who pushed back on my project, even claiming it didn't meet Placer County code, and when I asked questions, they simply stopped responding. Dimas was the complete opposite: professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with every step of the way. What started as one shower door quickly turned into four because of how confident I felt in his work and integrity. And I'm so glad it did. His craftsmanship is excellent. Clean, precise, and high-quality. You can tell he genuinely cares about doing the job right and making sure his customers are happy. That level of pride and attention to detail is rare. Our newly remodeled bathrooms absolutely deserved this level of quality, and Dimas delivered. Beyond the work itself, he's just an incredibly kind, honest, and hardworking person. If you want to save time and work with someone you can truly trust, call Dimas. I couldn't be happier with the results and would recommend him without hesitation.

I'm extremely disappointed with this company's lack of professionalism. I had an appointment…read morescheduled for my screen door which I had to wait for over a month due to constant excuses by the person who installed my sliding door, and not only did he fail to show up, but I also received zero communication other than once about the delay or cancellation. I've already been waiting quite a while for this, which makes the no-call/no-show twice even more frustrating. At this point, I've had to follow up myself just to get answers, which shouldn't be the customer's responsibility. I've requested a confirmed reschedule date, but the lack of urgency on their end is concerning. I would prefer not to escalate this issue to the contractor , but I absolutely will if this continues to be a problem. Honestly, if installation is too much to handle, they could at least deliver the door to my front porch. The bare minimum would be communication and accountability--both of which are clearly lacking here. Would not recommend based on this experience.

Poor Communication - I had to chase them down to find out the status of the job…read more I reached out to the company about a couple windows that were not properly opening/closing. They told me it was a simple job they could easily do. Guy came out to "do the job" but actually just came out to look at the windows. He took parts with him and told me he would contact me in a day or two. When I didn't hear from him after three days I reached out and was told "I am still waiting on the parts" After a week I was finally told the parts were available. Tried to coordinate a day/time for installation but they would not commit to anything specific. Finally scheduled something a week out...and they showed up nearly three hours late. The job was finally done and the windows are now working as they should but I had to constantly follow up with them since they were never proactive in their communication. It's unfortunate that their communication was so poor, otherwise I would suggest them based on the quality of the work.
