If you're a fan of the movie 'In Bruges' you'll understand. The massive beer wall that you walk past to enter the bar, is something that leaves you with your jaw on the floor. It's quite a sight. I do not consider myself a beer drinker (heck, I don't even LIKE the taste of beer), but I found plenty to love about this bar! First off, it's open late and has outdoor seating so you can mingle with fellow tourists and a few locals. Second, they have a TON of specialty and local Belgian beers -- I tried a few and fell in love! Yes, I can now call myself a beer drinker. Guess I just THOUGHT I didn't like beer but apparently I love exquisitely crafted Belgian beer! If you are a beer lover, you will be in Heaven. But even if you think you don't like beer, give this place a try. Lots and lots of options by the glass with friendly bartenders. I have been here many, many times since I live in Belgium and whenever friends visit they always want to go to Brugge and of course this is one of the stops. The beer wall is impressive, if you find beer bottles impressive. I do! I find the labels fascinating - demons, drunken nuns, trolls, etc. on them. The cafe is cozy and except for the summer, never really over-crowded where you cannot find a place to sit. Inside is ok but outside is better, right on the canal. And as mentioned, if it is cold outside, they have heaters blazing to keep you warm while you enjoy your beer or a hot drink. They have just a few beers on tap and this changes from time to time, I think every month, so come back often! read more

Gimmicky? yea... Touristy? yea... Great beer with nice views of the canals? Yep! The beer wall itself if cool, but kind of gimmicky. But their beer selection can't be argued with. They had Westie 6, 8, and 12 available. They have a nice beer garden right on the canal that was great for hanging out and drinking good beer. And they gave us bar snacks to go along with our beers. Anyonewho stops by Bruges and not come here is not doing Bruges right. As we all know, Belgium is known for its beers, which also means they have beers for EVERYONE. Yes, EVERYONE (excluding children, i think). I don't like beer, but what I did like was their coconut beer. I wasn't crazy about the cherry beer, but the coconut was definite amazing. The beers are cheap, there are infinite selections, and the service is wonderful (so's the crowd). Next door is a shop that sells everything beer related too. But if you are looking to get a case of beer, do check to see if a nearby grocery store sells it first (e.g., carrefour) cuz there's a markup. read more

You can even snag the specialized glasses, crafted specifically for each delicious drop of belgian perfection. Start off upstairs, with the novelty items and assortments of belgian chocolate. Don't miss out the especially artisan sweets on display in the back! Downstairs, the walls are lined with every belgian beer you can thing of. And then, the piece de resistance, the actual beer wall, which you can see when you walk in, but is better enjoyed at the end of your 'tour'. Thanks to fellow Yelpers, when in Brugge and looking to kill a couple of hours before dinner, we decided to visit this cool bar. I was pretty excited to try it out after seeing all the positive reviews and wasn't disappointed! 2be Beer Wall may not offer all the beers featured on the wall (or do they?) but they do offer a good and varied selection of various Belgian brews. Atmosphere is cool--didn't check out the terrasse in the back as there seemed to be a lot of people there but opted to go for the more quite front tables (tables before the bar/cash register). Neat decoration--check out the bathroom, the sinks are aquariums (in both the men's and women's!). I'd definitely recommend as a fun place to get a drink in Brugge! read more

The walk down to the bar down an alleyway is past a showcase of Belgium beers and glasses. This is quite impressive and you will struggle to get it onto one picture. The bar is quite small with just a few tables inside but there are tables with heaters on the alley way down to the bar and on the private patio accessed from within the bar itself. Service is quick and to help you order there are beer menus hung from the ceiling that you can pull down to read which spring back up when you let go. When I first visited there were only a few draft beers to choose from this is now considerably more with the latest visit showing 9 active pumps. Beer is served is small 25 medium 33cl or large 50cl glasses. The patio is the place to go. It is set on a corner with canals surrounding it. Extremely scenic and peaceful if it were not so popular. Food is limited to bar snacks such as salami and cheese. Served with or without mustard. Toilets are off the alleyway in and were not pleasant. A truly excellent bar. Extremely well priced and in a perfect central location overlooking the classic canals of Bruges. As other reviewers noted, they carry a good selection of beer that will suit anyone's taste for Belgian beer. The best of the best dark Trappists to choose from (St. Bernardus Abt 12, Westmalle Dubbel (on tap), Rochefort 10), and also plenty of tripels and some local selections. Of particular tasty interest, pair your Belgian Dubbel with Chimay Trappist cheese! Delicious. I think they have a limited wine selection, too, if anyone in your group doesn't fancy Belgian beer. They have a huge selection of bottled beers but they also have the cheapest prices on their draft selection with the large 50 cl sizes only being about 4-5 euros. Not only are the prices great but the outdoor seating is right on the canal making it a great place to sit and watch the boats go by. 2be can get busy but seats tend to open up fairly quickly and we always met great people here. read more

I passed the patio of this bar while on a canal tour and decided that was where I wanted to spend the rest of the day. The bar is in an awesome location right in the heart of Bruges, and the selection of beers was impressive and well priced. I loved that the menus were on big elastic bands hanging from the ceiling, and that you can order by number and in a variety of sizes. The afternoon we spent on the terrace overlooking the canal was a highlight of the trip - great people watching, comfortable chairs and the long tables mean we were able to make a few new friends over good beer. read more

The selection of beers here was amazing! My husband loved the choices. However, it is tiny - and it was raining - there was just no choice but to stand outside to taste our beers as the bar area is tiny and was jam packed! This took away from the experience for us. read more
