Sorry for the long review!! I have never written any kind of review(s) for anything however since I was a resident at one of the 2B Living properties I needed to express my overall experience with management and my time living in the Oakland area. I moved to the Bay Area last year in July 2021, from Southern California, not having any idea or clue what I was getting myself into. I'm a firm believer as human beings we can always move forward with Hope as long as we have open communication, transparency, and vulnerability. My experience with management at 2B Living has truly been a blessing!!! Unfortunately, in this Life we will go through many seasons filled with such unique storms however with 2B Living management it has been a beautiful experience, always offering all the support. Renting at one of their properties was overall amazing because they always offered solutions and took time in creating an action plan regarding parking and lease challenges, mail delivery, overall Amazon orders, maintenance challenges, etc. etc. Dominick, Tameka, and Veronica all have such beautiful and kind souls! They truly offer the support, overall understanding, and empathy. I always maintained open communication regardless of current Life situations and one thing I learned is they all appreciated the openness. Renting at one of these properties here was a beautiful challenge, not because it's 2B Living but because of my personal challenges I was facing, because of management and the people that work and serve their residents it made my time easier when renting knowing management truly does care for their tenants/residents at their properties they serve. I truly loved every minute of it. Thankfully, the unit came furnished making my transition from SoCal to the Bay a bit easier. The staff always guided me, step by step, as I was making the transition to the Bay Area and always reassured me I was in good hands. They had an answer for every question I had or if they didn't they would connect with me later to provide me with all the correct information. Management and corporate always tried to do their best to provide additional support when there was maintenance challenges or if I had tons of questions regarding my lease, parking, etc. They always did their best to advocate all needs and concerns. After, almost 7 months my time here has ended and now I move forward living in another city near by. I highly recommend renting at one of 2B Living properties, with my own personal experience, I would do it all over again and I'm thankful for this moment and season in my Life! I'm not too certain what the future holds but I hope I can cross paths again with 2B Living. Definitely made my first time experience living here in the Oakland area great. Thank you to everyone at 2B Living for your grace, empathy, and advocacy! We need more property management companies like you guys! Now, the new seasons starts! read more

BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! Stay as far away from this company as possible. Both as tenants as well as if you own property. So you know this is not just a tirade from an upset tenant; I am actually an Executive for a Large Tech Company locally, so a professional + own my own properties in the PNW. Please take that professionalism into consideration in helping the validity of this review. You will end up in court with these scam-artists! Problems: 1. Entering Apartment without notice or permission. Not just mine but others. Have statement for court already by other tenants and video. 2. Black water build-up in tub and not fixed for days while forced to stay in apartment or hotel at your own expense. (feel free to message, happy to attach pictures). 3. Threatening emails from Staff of 2BLiving and them (owner Brooks) okay with! 4. Retaliation done by 2B Living on numerous accounts and staff 5. Without water in bathroom for Days unable to take showers 6. Property stolen - Specifically a $250k+ classic car. When upset about the incident the owner of 2BLiving sent an email saying you must be 'drunk', as you were upset by this personal violation at your home. By his retaliation earlier, it was probably him who stole the car knowing it was there and acting like a family heirloom stolen and this personal violation was no big deal. 7. Aggressive and threatening behavior by staff 8. Bullying done by Owner Brooks + Retaliatory actions and threats documented by emails. 9. While water is flooding bathroom, it taking days to get a response. 10. Trying to force move you out into another apartment So this is the type of behavior done by 2BLiving and I would veer far away from them as tenant and listing your property. I am using all social channels as well as places like Facebook's Internal Network, LinkedIn's Internal Network, Twitter Internal Network as well as external to explain what kind of people 2BLiving is. I work/worked for these companies and since local, hopefully it will help keep people safely away from Slumlords like him who try and use intimidation to get his way. My hopes is that after I file and this court case is won by me, people like him wont be able to be in business and maybe they will have to go get a real job instead of using what his parents worked hard to build. In the end, typical Silicon Valley Entitlement Mentality who doesn't understand professionalism. Downfall - The owner of the property, Kathy, is one of the nicest ladies around and takes pride in her property. Very nice and respectable lady. Melissa is great too. The men for this company though and owner (Brooks) now with their threatening emails etc...well I guess the courts will decide that! Last - Complaint being filed with Bureau of Real Estate, Ethics Complaint against: CalBRE# 01896139. Guess somehow someone lost touch of their ethics over the years of their free ride. read more

Working alongside 2B Living has been an absolute pleasure. Their trust in our services and their commitment to maintaining their properties at the highest standards are truly commendable. It's not every day that we come across a property management company that values and prioritizes the well-being of their properties as much as they do. I must highlight the exceptional quality of their property managers. In particular, I have had the pleasure of working closely with Dave Aguirre, who is a true standout in his field. Dave embodies integrity, possesses an unparalleled work ethic, and consistently goes above and beyond to ensure the properties under his care receive the best service possible. Dave's dedication to his work is evident in every action he takes. His genuine concern for the well-being of both the properties and the tenants he serves sets him apart. He is a true asset to 2B Living, and I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to collaborate with him. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to 2B Living for their confidence in our services and their unwavering commitment to excellence. It is a partnership that I value immensely, and I look forward to continuing our collaboration in the future. In conclusion, I can confidently say that 2B Living, under the leadership of property managers like Dave Aguirre, is setting a remarkable standard in property management. Their dedication to providing top-notch customer service to their tenants is truly commendable, and it has been an honor to be a part of their team. Thank you once again for the opportunity to work with you. Here's to a continued partnership and future successes together. read more

I had high hopes when I moved into this apartment based on a friend's recommendation, but my experience quickly turned uncomfortable and felt targeted. From the beginning, the property manager, Michael, exhibited unprofessional behavior and harassment tactics. Firstly, his aggressive phone calls demanding rent payment, coupled with rude remarks, were completely uncalled for. When I installed a digital entry lock for security, he continuously badgered me to remove it without valid reasons. To add insult to injury, the water bills from the management company were exorbitant, yet Michael failed to provide any reasonable explanation or evidence of proper division. His lack of transparency only fueled my suspicions of being unfairly targeted. Moreover, promises of parking were conveniently forgotten, leaving me stranded and inconvenienced. The Resident Manager's unwelcoming demeanor further exacerbated our discomfort, making us feel unwelcome in our own home where my family lives. Despite my efforts to communicate and resolve issues, Michael remained unhelpful and dismissive, ignoring my inquiries about move-out procedures and costs. Even when I went the extra mile to prepare the apartment for departure, his indifference persisted, refusing to provide basic assistance like paint color matching. Overall, my experience with this management company has been nothing short of disappointing and frustrating. I strongly advise against renting from them, as their lack of professionalism and disregard for tenants' well-being make for an unpleasant living situation. read more

This entire review is about Armin Bajramovic, a maintenance worker for 2B Living. There was a leak in my room that left me without a place to sleep for just over a week, and in that time I got to know Armin in a way you don't usually get to know the people who work on your apartment. Without a doubt, the most capable maintenance worker I've ever met. I say maintenance worker because there isn't one word that actually covers what he does: carpentry, plumbing, cleaning, painting, physical labor, anything you can think of was handled by him. He had to tear out the drywall in my room, fix the plumbing issues overhead, repatch the drywall, paint it back over, and clean the entire room top to bottom. All done by one person. Absolutely incredible. What made it more than just a repair job was the time we spent together. We talked for hours across those days, shared a lot of laughs, and at one point it turned into him grabbing me food from Whole Foods one day and me returning the favor the next. That kind of human interaction is rare, especially in a setting where most people are just trying to get in and get out, and it's something I'll genuinely remember. If 2B Living is reading this - Armin is the SOLE reason a really frustrating week turned into a memorable one read more

I live in a property 2B manages and they have been responsive and helpful about some issues beyond their control. They fix maintenance issues quickly and have communicated their strategy for dealing with a roach problem that developed due to a neighbor. I appreciate they need to follow all applicable tenant laws and are doing serious monthly pest control to manage the situation. Having an app to file fix-it requests is very helpful and our resident manager, Marcos, responds quickly and efficiently. Our courtyard is very nice and he's always working to keep it clean and well maintained. Allan, the property manager for several properties in my area, goes above and beyond to communicate and handle the issues our complex is facing. He handled my initial walkthrough and made changes based on my preferences (installing curtain rods instead of blinds) before I even moved in. Most property managers have not been that considerate, in my experience. I was incredibly distressed when the pest problem developed, but the management teams response has made the best of bad situation and really limited the impact of it. I appreciate their continuing diligence in handling it. I would rent from 2B Living again. read more

Recently had some maintenance issues in my apt managed by 2B Living and want to acknowledge the amazing service done by Vin and Sergio! Vin is awesome and when I mentioned wanting to be able to attach my countertop dishwasher when he came to assess my leaky faucet situation, he fixed it perfectly for me to do just that! Game changer and cannot thank Vin enough for how receptive he was to all my comments and helpful throughout the process explaining things to me. After checking my heater, he reached out to Sergio to further take a look at it and he also did an incredible job taking care of my heater! Sergio took his time to figure out the problem and very kindly explained reasons for all the ins and outs he had to do. Heater ended up needing to be completely replaced and thankful to him for the quality work he did! He was also very nice in explaining his findings to me and I'm grateful for that. Vin and Sergio are outstanding technicians and happy they are on the 2B Living team servicing my apartment complex! read more

i've been living at the Amelia building for a little over five years now Cassandra who is my property manager is phenomenal. She is very understanding. She keeps the property up. She's fair and the community here is very very nice. Very welcoming. It's safe and the area is convenient. Also, I have to give a major shout out. To Joaquin, he's one of the maintenance I believe the main one that works here he is phenomenal. I was going through a very personal situation that was very traumatic and in that experience recovering I lost my baby boy Drake I had him since he was five months old and Joaquin came in and fixed several repairs that I have been putting off for because I was dealing with therapy and the loss of my not only fixed my issues which to find not my fault. It was just simple wear and tear but he gave me good advice and condolences and well wishes that really to and it speaks volumes about the community that I live in. 2B Living exemplifies thoughtfulness and genuine care for their residential and commercial clients in the Bay Area. With several years of experience in the industry, I can confidently say that 2B Living stands out as one of the most dedicated and tenant-focused companies I've encountered. One individual who truly embodies these qualities is Zo Hamid. Her straightforward approach is something I deeply appreciate. She goes above and beyond to ensure the well-being and satisfaction of the tenants under her care. I admire her proactive approach to property management. She doesn't wait for issues to arise; instead, she anticipates potential problems and takes swift action to prevent them. 2B Living and Zo Hamid are shining examples of what exceptional property management should be. It's been a privilege to collaborate with them, and I wholeheartedly recommend 2B Living to anyone seeking a property management company that combines professionalism with a personal touch. read more

My fiancée and I were looking for an apartment. We were thinking 2B living was bad due to a certain employee of their's but I won't mention her name since I don't know if she will be with the company much longer. 2B Living was a great success once we got matched with Lindzi. Lindzi showed us multiple properties and helped us find the studio that we were looking for even close to family and friends. We were willing to compromise on things like price and location if it meant having the apartment we wanted. Lindzi said that she wouldn't do that to us and found several properties in budget and even helped us with pre-approval with all the properties we thought might work. The property manager Allen was amazing as well he showed us around and let us explore before making the final decision even on short notice. I was in trouble finding a place to call home for us and they were the ones that stepped up to the plate, I can't thank them both enough. read more
