I had to change my review from 5 to 1 star on google. I've been coming here for 7 plus years and…read moreloved how honest and good they were. When j heard rumors they were doing downhill I ignored it because I didn't have any issues with them till today. I called to get my oil change and was told to come today after 5pm for their special deal. I asked to make an appointment and was told no. I got there and they worked on it, but while waiting I asked how much will it be and the front lady who stated she is new didn't know the price depending on the oil. I thought it was weird as my last oil change was 43 dollars after I just checked. When the kid comes out to talk to me he states there is a leak and stops talking. I said yeah and? And he stated he is not a mechanic and doesn't know where it is coming from or what to do but to have me come back when their mechanic is in. I thought that was even weirder. THEN they are charging me 75 dollars for and OIL change. I asked them to pull up my previous tickets and she looked for 2 seconds and said she cannot find it. I had her call her manager and she said that's the price. I called midas and they are charging 40. They blamed the cost of oil. I literally said if I knew this was their special price id have just done it today on my day off myself. The front end girl and the non mechanic need to be trained better and should not state idk I'm not a mechanic while you are working on my car. Idk what happened but this place went to hell. And to clarify my car uses a synthetic(don't know if I spelled it correctly) blend which is the cheaper kind. We will be no longer recommending this place and going to another mechanic who is an actual mechanic. I am leaving a review on each platform so people can see this is not the same place it use to be.

05/01/22 - What a way to start May off w/a bang. I was out in Schaumburg this morning. I went…read morearound a corner at Golf & Plum Grove Road. As I was going around the corner my effin ball joint & drive axel broke in the middle of a turn leaving me stranded @ the corner. I called the Schaumburg Police & they sent a squad car out to sit behind me so someone wouldn't hit me from behind coming around the corner while I waited for a tow. I called Redmon's Village Towing to get my car. Since the axle was broken & the left front wheel was turned in the car had to be gently eased up onto the flatbed tow truck. Now the dilemma of where to leave the car. Initially I thought of bringing the car back to Redmons tow yard, but I would have to pay an additional $45 dollars/day for storage. In addition I would have had to have someone pick up the car thus incurring another towing fee by bringing it back to my mechanic in the city. I decided to have it brought back to to the garage in Chicago & dropped off on the side of the building even though they aren't open on Sunday. Chris the tow truck driver did a good job of getting my car up on the flatbed and off again considering the mangled front tire. The tow cost me $240 dollars

Imagine walking outside to go to work and finding your car gone--even after checking with HOA…read moremanagement that you were allowed to park there. That's exactly what happened to my guest. They're visiting for about a week, and I had already asked management about guest parking and was told it was fine. Then their car gets towed, and this company tells me it had been "marked for three days." How are people supposed to follow the rules when they ask first, get told it's okay, and still end up having to pay hundreds of dollars to get their car back? Now my guest has to deal with getting to work, retrieving their car, and an expense they weren't expecting. Right before the holidays, too. This whole experience feels like a setup, and we're the ones stuck with the bill. Beyond frustrating.
