Once a year (or so) we need to snake our main sewer because we have roots that come into the piping and clog the main drain for the whole house. We had a significant backup late (of course) on a Saturday night, and he was able to come out right away and diagnose the issue. After I spent the rest of the night trying to figure out if it was on the county/city side or our side, by 9:30 in the morning he was back onsite, and working with me to get his snake to the highly-inaccessible cleanout. See some pictures of the hill-side clean-out & snaking on Sunday after discovering around 2am Sunday morning that the "city side had no problem". As we improvised different way to get the heavy snake unit to the hillside clean-out, I never had any doubt that (a) he knew just what he was doing and (b) he would get the job done. I called early Sunday morning as there was a leak in one of the pipes in the crawl space. I got a response after 15 minutes and an hour later, Steve was already at my house to check on the leak. Steve gave me a quote and even though I could have called around to get other quotes, I decided to authorize the repair right away. People often don't spend time thinking about the pipes behind the walls - until something goes wrong. When my kitchen drain pipe clogged and no amount of force could remove the P-trap (turns out mine is a weird design with one end glued on), I knew I was in over my head. For the first plumbing company I called: * The earliest they could arrive was the following morning * Their quote was higher * When the house lacks a sewer cleanout as mine does, they don't go on the roof to access the plumbing vents I then called 24hr Drain Pro and found out: * They could arrive in 45 minutes * Their quote was lower * They do go onto roofs when necessary Friendly and easygoing Steve Kim (the owner of Drain Pro) arrived quickly as promised, face and shoes covered. He determined that the P-trap was indeed stuck and removed it with a hacksaw, finding a large clog in the pipe past the trap. Apparently, food waste and grease particles over the years can create a thick, sludgy clog. Say whaaat!? After some quick snaking, the pipe was unblocked once more, and Steve reinstalled the P-trap with a coupling to make it easier for me to remove in the future. He also gave me some tips on future maintenance. Yelp claims that Drain Pro accepts credit cards, but when I asked if I could pay by card, Steve asked me to pay by Venmo or a check and I didn't feel like pressing the issue. It's possible that they don't take cards. The price wasn't cheap but was reasonable given the fast response, especially in these quarantine times when demand for home services is higher. And it's awesome that the company will respond 24 hours a day - though it must suck for Steve being on-call all the time! For me, I've learned to be better about preventative maintenance, so hopefully it will be a long while before I need to call a plumber again! read more

This company was the only one available for the emergency services and the price was reasonable considering the weekend night emergency service. After around 30min, he arrived with a face and shoes mask on. We thought we could install a water softener by ourselves and messed up by wrongly cutting the pipe. I called at 4pm and he said he could come by between 6-7pm. I didn't end up going with 24hr drain pro because the water started to slowly drain so I wanted to wait overnight and try a few more plunges but this guy is super responsive, seems very honest, and gave me a reasonable quote.
