Last summer I had flooding in walk out basement due to overflow of ditch behind house. This had never previously occurred in the 25 years that I have lived here. I am single elderly woman and immediately tried to contact my insurance agent. I was directed to call and file claim which was done. I asked for any recommendations on who to call for flood damage and before I had called anyone the insurance company contacted this company. They said they could be out that same night and so of course I agreed as this was dirty water from ditch/creek. I signed a work order for "drying out" and on that work order it said cost was based on "Xactimate" estimate. No one explained what that meant but again I was desperate and anxious to have the water out of my basement. I was scheduled to leave town for a long-planned vacation with children who live out of state. I trusted this company to do the dry out and they had placed numerous fans and couple of dehumidifiers before I had left. I gave them access to home to complete work while I was gone. No one called to explain what they deemed to be necessary tear out of walls, cabinets, flooring etc. I did expect that laminate flooring would need to be removed. When I arrived home 11 days later, I was shocked at the extent of tear out they did without my knowledge. Also, the basement had horrible moldy smell which was from water being left in drawer of a small armoire as well as wet towels and bedding that had been on floor in storage room. I had told this company that insurance coverage was limited for inland flooding, and they gave me the impression that cost would be well below that limit. They also said they would send the invoice directly to American Family Insurance. Insurance did not even review their invoice as by the time they received it another construction company had sent them invoice for rebuild which was already over the insurance limit of $25000. I then received invoice for over $35,000 from 24 HR Flood Response. Again, I was shocked as other contractors I had requested rebuild estimates from had said tear out cost should have been between $7000 and $12000. This company scammed me for an exorbitant charge. They use a software called "Exactimate" which is obviously designed for the benefit of the contractor. The work done should not have cost this amount and I question whether some of it was even necessary. They said it was for "my safety and health" but left moldy blankets and towels as well as armoire filled with moldy, contaminated water. Do not use this company but if you do get written estimate for work to be done. read more

Incredibly irresponsible and unprofessional company. Took them over 4 months to attempt to fix damage from a leak and I had to call them every step of the way to ask a technician to come help out for the next step. One technician arrived under the influence and admitted he'd been drinking before coming to the job. At the final restoration step, a technician came out to take an estimate then realized they weren't able to complete the job and promptly tried to collect payment for the shotty job. They have no problem proactively contacting/harassing you to pay them, wish they put that much effort into their work. read more

We were very pleased working with the 24/7 Flood response team. Vicent P. was instrumental in making our repair easy. The receptionist was also very friend and prompt to get back to us. We did our due diligence to shop around to view different scopes of work , but for our scope, 24/7 Flood Response was the best fit.They are also readily available...this is a big deal especially if you on are a short time frame. Weekends, after work schedule etc...they are ready. Vincent was professional and very responsive whenever i'd text him or call him for an update. Naturally i had many questions and he was knowledgable and polite in educating us on how crawlspace repair works. He arrived to inspect, laid out a reasonable plan, and once we were booked he arrived with his partner Roman. Roman too, was great. They laid out their tools and got to work. Roman was easy to talk to, and would point out anything along the way that he noticed. He was able to work in a small basement subfloor and had a great attitude. I seriously could not have done this without their help. Vincent was also very transparent about the billing and along the scope he was honest and fair in making an adjustment to the materials line item in the bill. referred after a plumber caused sewage backup. John Guzman did not listen to what we wanted. Still put in floor paneling we didn't want. The color he wanted. The other part of the company that comes out to remove stuff and flood cut didn't remove a section of counters that was damaged from water. Then later John Guzman tried to say it wasn't part of the job. He also demanding to be paid and was texting he'd come to my house or send someone! Weird cuz it was all done through home owners insurance and they don't get paid until it goes through their process which had nothing to do with me. They did not do that great of quality trying to use products they bought too much of from another job. There details they didn't do well. Took 3 months! They didn't patch the holes that the other company made when testing for asbestos. The plumber that works for them though they said it's a friend they contract he put shower head and nozzle in but lost a small screw so it wobbles. They constantly tried to bribe during the work process for money or being paid under the table. Coming up with an excuse that they movies something or did something that they won't get paid for... the company also tried to ask for more money after being paid by homeowners... oh yea, not professional when they bring their kid on the job. ***Response: Your a liar saying I wanted cabinets removed because they were ugly. Your demolition guy Vincent said he'd remove them they had water damage & patch it up and that's why he removed them later. The flooring I picked out but the molding that was put in was not the color we picked. We wanted white & John kept insisting on off white. He was also insisted on a wood flooring he wanted & tiles I had to argue with him all while going through major cancer surgery!! The paying the deductible was never discussed till way later as the homeowners insurance adjuster never said it was suppose to be paid at time of service nor did you and I assumed it was paid to the homeowners insurance! I paid on my moms behalf the payments to you for the deductible & the plumbing which Jon agreed too. It was $1200 for plumbing and $1000 for insurance deductible. Never was late. You also tried to bribe me for extra money even when you came to my house to sign papers after work was completed complaining that you should of been paid more. The flood reconstruction services on work done & amount you agreed to was decided between you & the insurance adjuster & had nothing to do with me! John was asking for money on several occasions! He was a former inmate with Adams county & he told that to myself & my mom. Yes I'm writing this a year later as I had my concerns. And threats from John when he was demanding money & that Hector wanted to come to my house to get it. I sent you screen shots of his text to me! I saved all the messages, pictures & videos. I worked in law enforcement for 17 years!!! He constantly asked for money and tried say his guys should get paid extra. You got paid, & the fact that your complaining about payment or how long it took for the homeowners insurance to pay was not my fault and you should know it takes awhile as I'm sure you work with a lot of people's homeowners & you got your first payment pretty damn quick, the last one took a bit longer. The cabinet installed to replace the one that was removed- I had to call for John to come back as he didn't put the base board and he claimed he didn't think I needed it as you can't see it. Well you could see it had no base board. It came with a base board so he should of installed it. You got paid timely from the homeowners as I talked to other restoration companies and even had another company come out while your company was still working and they saw mistakes and they.informed me that you should know when it's a insurance claim it takes time to get paid! To send me threats by John Guzman saying he was gonna send a guy to my house to get the money was a threat! He knows it was a insurance claim and that is unprofessional period!!! In a word, deceitful. Requested an estimate before any work was performed. $0.00 was estimate and I was assured that the cost wouldn't be more than $600.00. Vincent performed 1.5 hours of work, left a floor fan that faltered and blew out a fuse. He removed one strip of drywall, 12 inches high by 12 feet long and 14 tiles of flooring. Total bill is $1,300.00, of which $400.00 is for several fans, again, only one was left. When I questioned the company rep, via phone, I was told to "just bill it to your insurance company". Unbelievable. I would love to audit this companies billing practices over the last three years and see how much fraudulent billing has transpired. read more

24/7floodresponse wanted to settle with me on damages they caused to my Plasma TV and Damaged my Entry tile where they chipped two separate tiles causing the entire entrytile needing to be replaced and they got an attorney involved but they wanted to pay me for the replacement of the tile, while not admitting liability, and would pay $150 for professional cleaning of the Plasma TV, and wanted in settlement agreement that I not make any adverse remarks about their work, however they then added the language that if I did verbal or thru other media that I would owe them $1000.00 per incident! They are insane to think I would agree with that. I told them I would agree not to post any negative comments anywhere. But no this was not good enough so they wanted to add the $1000.00 per incident language. So, I am the one who pulled away from the settlement, not them. It was clear they did not want to settle and so I am posting my experiences with them. From the beginning, all the had to do is fix what they damaged and they refused. All they had to do is agree and I would not be posting my experiences. I just wanted to be made whole again before they arrived at my mountain property. Anyone who is NOT GUILTY of causing injury or damages is not going to try to give you money for the damages they caused unless they are guilty. From Feb 27th, 2013 till today May 28, 2013, they have made excuse, after excuse and tying me up with an attorney trying to get me to settle but only with settlement language that is downright insulting. 24/7 was referred by my plumber after a backup. An estimator called me with what was an apparently negotiable "estimate". The work came in well under the estimate, as It was a small basement. So I was surprised when a single line invoice came in for exactly the estimated amount. I called and asked for itemization based upon their published rates. Which they provided. But Comparing the invoice to their published rates clearly showed inconsistencies. I pointed this to their billing person. I got no good explanation for the predatory billing, and 24/7 charged my card for more than the work that was performed. Scammers. read more

Do not use this company for asbestos. Vincent came out to give us an estimate on an abatement of HVAC elbow with suspected asbestos in our crawl space. He looked at it and told my husband the job was so small that he wouldn't need a permit and it would be easy. When we got his quote back, we were floored that it was almost $2,000 when our HVAC company told us it should be around $400. The 24/7 quote included so much new gear and supplies that It felt like we were going to be the suckers who might find their limited work in asbestos. I called Vince to let him know the quote was much higher than expected and he said he could take $500 off. What??? That's where you should have quoted us to begin with. He apologized and said he would check into pricing and call me back the next day and he never did. Also, I did not see 24/7 on the state-approved company list for mitigating asbestos. I ended up calling one of the companies listed on the state webpage, and that company came out, took a look, quoted us $200 and did the entire job for us for $200-90 PERCENT LESS than 24/7. If you like to be insulted and threatened then I would say use this company, otherwise take your business elsewhere! I should start out saying that this company was recommended to me from two trusted people I know, one in real estate and the other who flips houses (both of whom will also no longer be using this company) as a company who can deal with mold issues. We had a pipe that leaked and the plumber thought he saw some mold so we wanted to deal with that immediately. It should be noted that this property was a rental unit and I along with my husband am the owner. The company was very quick to respond to the request and was out there the same day (Saturday afternoon) we called which was great. Jesse came out and informed us that there was no mold (what a relief) but that he wanted to put fans in to dry out the drywall as mold can start growing in 24-48 hours. We agreed and he told us it would take about 3-4 days to dry. He said that he would be back on Monday (day 2) to see if it was dry. He went back on Monday and it was not dry, he returned on Tuesday (day 3) and removed the equipment without the drywall being dry and without talking to my husband or myself first. We were later told that he removed it because he didn't want to inconvenience the tenants who were moving out that Friday (3 days later). I called the owners of the company to make a formal complaint and was told she (Jody) would call me back; instead, I received a call from Jesse. I again called the owner and explained the issue and that I did not want to talk to Jesse as this was a management issue. She admitted that Jesse had made a mistake and that he could come back out to finish drying the drywall for no additional cost the next day (even though he had not given the dry wall the 3-4 days originally agreed upon to begin with). I explained to her that this was impossible as I had to give the tenants 48-hour notice, and they were then moving and then we had additional contractors coming in to complete other work. Jody was completely unprofessional, yelling at me and repeating, "haven't you ever made a mistake". She also then insinuated that all I was trying to do was get something free. Her husband Tim then got on the phone once he noticed that she had lost control and was going overboard on me and I again explained to him that the issue was that Jesse had made a poor judgement call that was not his to make. He proceeded to threaten a lean on my property if I did not pay them (all for $1150 of uncompleted work). After a day of them not hearing back from me, Tim again called and threatened me on voicemail this time; going so far as to say "this is not a threat but..." They have received payment in full. Maybe they should try taking care of their customers the first time and spend more time on properly training their staff rather than threatening clients for them not completing a job correctly the first time. Our experience with 24/7 Flood Response was amazing! We had an outside faucet freeze and didn't find out about it until after 3 days of the swamp cooler running ! The crawl space was flooded and we were freaking out. Within an hour of our call Vincent came out to evaluate the situation, gave us a quote and began the process of removing the water. Follow up visits to check on the progress of emptying the water and then setting up dehumidifiers, and finally removing debris from the space. All techs were so nice and knew what they were doing. They worked with me very well on times to come and check on things. The final bill was adjusted from the estimate to reflect any changes in how things played out, it actually got a bit lower!! I feel that for the time these guys put in, equipment needed, the pricing was more than fair. I'd call these guys in a second if I had an issue like this again!!! 100$ just to do an estimate, you have got to be joking me...... this place is a rip off before they even walk in your door

I had the unfortunate situation that required the professional services of 24/7 Flood Response in February 2011. I walked downstairs to the basement one Sunday afternoon last month and came across a boatload of water surrounding my floor drain adjacent to my HVAC and water heater. A major cause for concern. My first instinct was to call the plumber, which I did. I contacted It's Done Plumbing. The plumber quickly arrived and assessed the situation. With 5 minutes he found the source; a clogged floor drain strainer. The floor drain strainer had calcium and lime deposits built up around it. Once the strainer/catch was pulled from the drain opening, any and every ounce of residual water drained. It was a big sigh of relief to know the source was located. The plumber was very knowledgable and informative. At this point, we took a look at the craw-space below the subfloor and noticed random pools of water on the tarp covering the ground. Now we needed serious action. The plumber recommended a water extraction service, named 24/7 Flood Response. After the plumber left, I emailed 24/7. I received an email back saying that I need to call the main number and speak to the front desk. I immediately picked up the phone and called. I spoke with Jodi, who asked me a bunch of questions regrading the situation in my basement. She quickly got the ball rolling and indicated to me that a crew will be out to my home within the next two hours to assess the damage. A gentleman by the name of Adam R. arrived within two hours with his assistant. The crew spent a good 45 minutes to one hour inspecting the water damage above and below the subfloor. At this point I was still considering getting another opinion and quote. I quickly had to make a decision, considering the risks of delaying cleanup(water extraction). What sold me was Adam's knowledge and professionalism and the fact that the cleanup can begin ASAP. This guy really knows his stuff. I later found out that he spent 12 years with the Dept. of Forestry as a wildland fire fighter. Talk about tough work! Adam convinced me to move forward with the cleanup. He and his assistant quickly got to work. Within two hours, the initial cleanup was complete, but that was just the beginning. 24/7 F.R. does't just suck up puddles of water and move on. They work and work until the job is done to their satisfaction and criteria. This is what really impressed me. Once the water was extracted, the crew brought in the heavy duty arsenal of equipment, which they conveniently had stored in the back of their truck. A dehumidifier and thermal heaters were placed strategically to dry the "plywood" subfloor which had been completed saturated with water and wasn't about to dry anytime in the near future. Once the equipment was placed, Adam began to make plans with me to assess the drying process the following day. Adam came back the next morning and reassessed the situation. The floor wasn't drying as quickly as he would've liked it too. At this point, he explained to me that the equipment needed to remain for a few more days. A few days later Adam came back with another highly qualified tech and placed a plastic barrier to section off the wet area of the basement. This helped to keep the heat condensed in a small area. A few days later, Adam came back to check drying times in the wood subfloor. The floor was drying quicker, but still needed more time. Finally, 8-9 days later Adam arrived back at the home to retest. all was good! The wood floor was dry to his satisfaction. A job well done. At this point he dismantled the barrier and removed all equipment from the home. It was a long process to say the least, but the job was done and it was done right. 24/7 Flood Response knows what they're doing. Bar none. I can't say enough about the amazing folks at 24/7 Flood Response! Two weeks ago, I turned on my faucet and noticed that the hot water was ice cold. Thinking the pilot light had gone out, I went in to my basement and was surprised to step on a very soggy squishy rug. There was a few inches of standing water in one part of the basement where the water heater had "ruptured." The carpet on the other side of that wall was soaked! My heart sank. I called 24/7 Flood Response and spoke with Jodi, who was wonderful! They sent Adam over that morning and he was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient! All of his equipment was already on his truck, which was convenient and meant that I didn't have to wait for a trip to the warehouse while the standing water was silently taunting me!
